For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10). In Mark 11:23 Jesus said, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; AND SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”From this scripture, we understand that doubting in your heart dissipates faith. Your mind may raise doubts and say, “How do you think it’s going to work?” That doesn’t mean you’ve doubted in your heart. Faith will work in your heart, even whilst there’re doubts in your mind. The doubt that messes up your faith is the one that comes from your heart. When arguments, theories, and reasons arise in your mind against what you’ve believed and laid hold of by faith, all you need do is pull them down with God’s Word (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). According to the Bible, “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;” What a statement, you can testify boldly today that He is your peace and that you live in peace. Refuse to be disturbed. In every situation you must be at peace! Glory to God! What testimony do you hold? You can start sharing yours today.”

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Colossians 1:12). Do you realize your own good works or your own righteousness couldn’t qualify you for the blessing of God? Our opening verse of scripture expresses this as it says, God “hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” God the Father did this for us, in spite of ourselves. God in His infinite mercy and kindness qualified you for the good life. How exciting to realize that you don’t have to strive to be good enough for God. There’s no need to strive and work to merit His blessings, for it’s by His grace. His righteousness is your qualification to be a partaker of the glorious inheritance He’s prepared for the saints. “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:19-20). Many people mistake believing for faith; but believing is not faith, and faith is not believing. When you receive God’s Word into your heart and believe what it says, that’s just the first step; there must be corresponding action to your believing. Romans 10:10 says, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” So, when you heard the Gospel and were convinced in your heart to believe Jesus died for you, you were made right with God. Praying for the leaders of your country is the only effective mechanism that can bring about a government that will be responsive and genuinely cater for the yearnings of the overwhelming majority. There is no amount of political or social agitation that can reverse the dismal state of the economy of any nation except the prayers of God’s people. The socio-political or economic progress of your nation is not dependent on politicians and those in government; it is solely dependent on your words and the fervency of your prayers for those at the hem of affairs in your country! Even if they are not born again, you’re obliged to pray for them. You may have issues with their leadership style; you may not share same political ideologies with them, yet you still have the responsibility of interceding for them as a Christian. Learn to bless your country; refrain from speaking in negative terms against your country. Change the situation through prayers and a good confession. Proverbs 11:11

Glory to God in the highest! I know the Lord's thoughts towards me; they're thoughts of peace, success, prosperity and a triumphant life! When the rain of life descends, and the floods come with the billowing winds, I remain strong and unmovable, because I'm founded upon the rock! When we look through the scriptures, there is no place where the Christian is asked to pray to Jesus or through Jesus. What the Bible teaches is that we pray in the Name of Jesus which is the right way to pray. There are folks who when they pray, would say, “Lord Jesus, I ask that you grant me such and such in Jesus name.” That is wrong; you don’t pray to Jesus in the Name of Jesus, neither do you pray to the Father through the Name of Jesus. You pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus according to John 16:23 which says, “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my Name, He will give it to you.” You may fellowship with Jesus and tell Him how much you love Him, and tell Him things that are in your heart, but you don’t pray to Him. As Christians, we don’t need an intermediary between us and the Father. To pray through Jesus is to make Him an intermediary between us and the Father, but to pray in the Name of Jesus means you are standing in the place of Jesus you have become His voice.

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever” (John 14:16) Some Christians think the Holy Spirit sometimes goes on a break, or takes a recess just because at such times they don’t “feel” His presence. You don’t have to “feel” God to know that He’s with you. Rather, you ought to know that He’s with you always, because the Word says so. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11) When you receive the Holy Spirit, His presence in you vitalizes your physical body. Your body therefore has the capacity for divine health, and that’s reality. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; He lives in you with all of His glory and power. In 2 Corinthians 6:16, God says about His people: “…I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” First, He says, “I will dwell in them,” that means settle down, or make His headquarters in you. This happened when you received the Holy Spirit to live in you. Then He continues: “…and walk in them.” “Walk,” there, is the Greek word “emperipateō,” which means to perambulate: to walk up and down in a supervisory way, as an official assigned to a border would. “ He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth ” (Proverbs 10:17). It’s a sad reality that many people spend most of their lives in the wrong places, doing the wrong things. For years, they struggle in life, failing to achieve anything meaningful, and wonder why. They suffer because they’re ignorant (Hosea 4:6), either because they have no one to guide them, or because they stubbornly reject guidance. In the Scriptures, wisdom speaks: “ I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures .” (Proverbs 8:20-21). The Christian life is not an ordinary life. It is a supernatural life for supernatural men. As Christians, we must live with the consciousness of who we are in Christ. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30). To underscore the importance the Lord places on the souls of men, the Bible tells us in 2 Peter 3:9 ‘’that the Lord is not willing that any should perish’’. Our purpose for remaining on earth today is to win souls unto the Lord and mature in Christ. We’re not here just to accumulate wealth and riches that will perish with this world; these aren’t of any eternal value. When you study the earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus, you’ll observe that reaching the people was the focus of His ministry. An example was when He took time to preach to the woman at the well, even though He was very tired and hungry (John 4:5-26). When the disciples saw the way His face lit up as He spoke to the woman, they were convinced He had eaten something. When they asked Him about it, His response was, “…My meat (food) is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34); put differently, “My nourishment is to win souls.” Just like Jesus, I love to win souls; I love to tell people about His love for mankind.
