SHINE BRIGHTLY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light ( 1 Peter 2:9).  The Bible says He has called us into His marvelous, overwhelming light. This means we dwell in light; we’re children of light. Jesus also stated this in Matthew 5:14: “Ye are the light of the world...” What a blessing! What an honor! What a commission! What a calling. We’re the light of the world! To get the full import of this truth, you have to first understand what light is. Light is that which makes manifest. Light describes. Ephesians 5:13 says, “But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.” In other words, light shows you what’s present. It leads you in the way and gives direction. Light brings fulfillment and joy. When you show up, darkness disappears. Darkness represents sin, death, evil and all the ne

OUR GLORIOUS LINEAGE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter 1:23). The difference between the Christian and the non-Christian isn’t just in the fact that the Christian goes to church while the non-Christian doesn’t; the difference is in their nature. The Christian has a new nature, the nature of God; his spirit has been recreated to have a new life the divine life. The Christian is born of God; His origin is in God (1 John 4:4). It wasn’t just a mere change that took place in you when you were born again; it was an actual translation, a replacement or supplanting of the life with which you were born of your parents, with the eternal and indestructible life of God. It’s a brand new life. You no longer carry the “genes” of your earthly parents; you don’t belong in the lineage of the first Adam; you hail from Christ the Second and Last Adam. You’re of a chosen breed; you’re from a new lineage. 1 Peter 2:9 declares

UNCONDITIONAL PROSPERITY

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8). There’s been so much fear and apprehension about the economic situation in the world. Some of the erstwhile biggest and richest multinational corporations have gone bankrupt, and the economies of several nations are still groaning with the pangs of global recession. Indeed, so much has happened in the last decade to warrant such concerns. But if you’re born again you don’t need to fear or fret, for you play by a different set of rules. Thus the economic crunch and hardship that affect the peoples of the world ought not to overthrow you. In the midst of the recession you can have increasing prosperity, for that’s the life you’ve been called t

HE SHOWS UP IN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

…he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand (Isaiah 53:10).  The Lord Jesus did many mighty works when He walked the earth. The Bible says if all the miracles He performed were to be chronicled, the whole world wouldn’t contain the books that’d be written. That’s neither a hyperbole nor over amplification of facts; it’s the truth. His entire life was an unending stream of the supernatural. He brought hope, joy, and life to many. The Bible says He went about doing good, healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38). Now, this same Jesus, although is in heaven today, the Bible says He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He’s still loving, gracious, merciful, compassionate, and works miracles today as He did in Bible days. He still lifts, blesses, and transforms lives today, howbeit, through us—His seed. We’re the ones prolonging His days. We stand in His stead today;

GOD’S WORD: THE MATERIAL FOR YOUR BLESSING - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves…But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:22-25). The Word of God can be trusted; its integrity is unquestionable. When God wants to do something new in your life, He gives you His Word; He brings that thing (whatever it is), into your life through words; through His message to you. His Word is His material for blessing you. It behooves you, therefore, to get the Word into your spirit; trust and live in the Word. When He wanted to launch Abraham to a new level in his life, it was through words. He said to him, “Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee” (Genesis 17:5). In the mind of God, Abraham being the father of many nations was a done deal. Though Abraham had no physical children a

WE’RE SUPREMELY BLESSED - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:29). The word “blessed” in the verse above is the Greek “makarios,” and it means, “To be supremely blessed.” It’s a transcendental blessing. It means you’ve been lifted beyond the ordinary realm. The believing ones are independent of circumstances. They’ve been lifted to another level. “Makarios” isn’t a bestowal, but a lifting. It’s a blessing of separation. You can be blessed as in “eulogeo,” that is, things are conferred on you, but in “makarios,” you’re separated; you’re lifted; then others take special notice of you and say, “He’s supremely blessed; he’s not like us; he doesn’t belong here.” What a blessing! This is something totally new coming from the Master about the new creation. He says, “Blessed are those who have not seen but yet believed.” He’s referring to those who have been freed from their senses or the flesh. This was t
