In our study today, we’ll examine two vital thoughts, relating to God’s dream for you. First is that as a Christian, you must realize that you’re vitally the house, the living tabernacle of the almighty God. You’re full of God as Jesus was when He walked the earth. God isn’t any less in you today than He was in Jesus Christ. This isn’t something you’ll have to grow into as time goes by, no; it’s a reality you have to wake up to. You’re the temple of the living God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that th

CHILDREN AND PARENTING: MY PASTORAL PERSPECTIVE BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

That attitude of giving child a tablet while service is on to be playing games so they don't disturb you is a time bomb! You are saying to them, its OK to not concentrate in church, you think you are trying to concentrate and don't want them to distract you but you are giving them a mindset. It will form an attitude towards trivializing spiritual things in the future and by then it may be too late to correct.. Don't ever think they do not understand what's going on while the service is on, these children play very complicated games better than adults! If they can understand that, they can understand what Paul calls "The Simplicity of the Gospel" The gaming can wait! Another thing I find ludicrous is Parents who give their children "loose change" for offering but spend heavily on their lunch just after the service is over.. There again you are saying, God doesn't deserve anything big. You see that's how you breed Atheists! That's h

A dear brother learnt about exercising spiritual authority and decided to act his faith. It had been cloudy and a downpour was imminent. Stepping out of his home, he commanded the rain to hold its peace. But soon enough, the rain started pouring down. He commanded the rain to cease, but the more he issued those commands, the heavier the downpour, and the more he got drenched. He had read that Elijah stopped the rains from falling for three and half years (1 Kings 17), and so he thought, “If Elijah could do that, why couldn’t I?” But there’s something the young man didn’t un

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SPEAK THE TRUTH IN YOUR HEART- PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY 21ST, NOVEMBER 2016.

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart (Psalm 15:1-2). If you’re going to walk in the glory of God and have His grace and power manifested in your life, the Word says you must walk uprightly, work righteousness, and speak the truth in your heart. Now, what does it mean to speak the truth in your heart? This is where a lot of people miss it. They don’t have a problem walking uprightly; they don’t have a problem working righteousness, that is, doing right, but then they have a problem with “speaking the truth in their heart.” Notice that the psalmist

For all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21). Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” That’s a fundamental truth of the Gospel: the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ! However, as you get higher in the understanding of the Gospel, you’d discover that Jesus really doesn’t stand away and give you eternal life; He’s Himself eternal life. In giving you eternal life, He actually gave you Himself. Hallelujah. No wonder, the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, said, “...all things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21). That’s because all things are in Christ, and He’
