When God looks at you, He sees that whatever might have been wrong in your life before you were born again is now passed away. You may not “feel” or think so, but that doesn’t negate His truth. Besides, that’s the reason He told you, because you couldn’t know any other way, except through the Word. So now, you’re to act on His Word. If it’s true that old things are passed away, then it means you can’t have “inherited curses” or an inherited sickness or disease. There couldn’t be such a thing as a generational curse, because you’re a brand new species one that never existed before. What if you were born with leukaemia or a heart condition? This is how He wants us to approach our salvation in Christ Jesus; He saved us (brought us out of sin), that He might bring us into our inheritance in Him; our place in Him. The real message of Christianity isn’t just about the “savior”—Jesus. Yes, He’s the Savior, but He did much more than “saving us.” If “saving us” was all He came to do, that wouldn’t be Christianity.
