OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). When God looks at you, He sees that whatever might have been wrong in your life before you were born again is now passed away. You may not “feel” or think so, but that doesn’t negate His truth. Besides, that’s the reason He told you, because you couldn’t know any other way, except through the Word. So now, you’re to act on His Word. If it’s true that old things are passed away, then it means you can’t have “inherited curses” or an inherited sickness or disease. There couldn’t be such a thing as a generational curse, because you’re a brand new species one that never existed before. What if you were born with leukaemia or a heart condition? Well, old things are passed away, and all things are now new. The eighteenth verse explains that all the new things are of God. Leukaemia isn’t of God! Heart condition isn’t of God! Therefore, you say, “I

THERE’S MUCH MORE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers (Deuteronomy 6:23) . The construction in our opening verse is about one word—“purpose.” The reason for bringing them out was so He could bring them in! This is how He wants us to approach our salvation in Christ Jesus; He saved us (brought us out of sin), that He might bring us into our inheritance in Him; our place in Him. This mentality will make a huge difference in your life; it’ll completely change your destiny, and make it one of greatness only. He didn’t just save us; He did it for a reason. The real message of Christianity isn’t just about the “savior”—Jesus. Yes, He’s the Savior, but He did much more than “saving us.” If “saving us” was all He came to do, that wouldn’t be Christianity. Being saved was a means to an end. Now that you’re saved, welcome to a new world, but it’s much more than that. He saved us so He could bring us into oneness with Himself; our

I want you to understand the construction in the twenty-seventh verse: “…this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” A “mystery” connotes esoteric communication or language; something revealed, but only to a select few. That mystery, the Bible says, is “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” What does this truth mean? First, it means glory revealed, glory realized, glory manifested in your life! The reproaches are g

The Lord Jesus, in narrating the parable of the sower, said, “A sower went out to sow his seed…” (Luke 8:5). Then in the eleventh verse, He explained that the seed the sower sowed was the Word of God, letting us know that words are seeds, and that what you sow is what you reap. If you sow the right words into your life and future, they’ll produce the right harvest. Your words are important; steer your life in God’s direction for you with the right words. Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). You can’t keep speaking negatively and expect to have an excellent life. Proverbs 15:4 says, “A who

Doing the Word of God should be natural for you as a Christian, because being born again, you’re born of the Word (1 Peter 1:23). That means you have the nature of the Word, which gives you the ability to do the Word. Simply living out the Word is the key to an excellent and victorious life; that’s where the blessing is. Where some Christians have a problem is that they don’t know how to do the Word. Some think that doing the Word means “obeying” the Word, no; both thoughts may sound similar, but they’re very different. In the O

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TRUE JOY IS IN FULFILLING YOUR PURPOSE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY, MAY 2ND

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10). One of the greatest blessings you could ever experience in life is to discover God’s purpose for your life and to fulfil it. God has a purpose for your life; He placed you on earth for a definite purpose. Jesus was on earth for a specific purpose and He was clear about it. He affirmed in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” His whole life was about something: to save and give life to all men. He lived and fulfilled the will of the F

Ephesians 1:21 says Jesus Christ is seated in the place of authority in the heavenly realms, not just above or near above, but “far” above all principality and power, every rulership or government, and the authority by which they govern. The Wuest Translation says, “…over and above every government and authority and power and lordship….” Blessed be God! There’s none like Jesus! He has the supremacy and dominion over all things. Ho

HOLD FAST TILL HE COMES– PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come (Revelation 2:25). The Lord won’t ask you to hold fast to that which you’ve received if there wasn’t the possibility of losing it. For instance, people lose their healing; they receive healing from God and after sometime, maybe due to carelessness or not walking in the Word, they lose the healing. So, as a Christian, it’s important you stay in the Word. The Word of God is your life, and every day presents opportunities for you to live-out the Word; to keep the faith and maintain your confession of who Jesus is and all He means to you. Nothing should ever make you take your gaze and focus off the Master; He’s all that truly matters. Protect your love for Him, and your passion for the Gospel. Love the Lord selflessly, with an undying passion. Refuse to allow anger or bitterness douse your zeal, fervency, and effectiveness in ministering to others. Hebrews 12:15 says, “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest

DON’T LET THEM LIVE WITHOUT GOD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart (Ephesians 4:17-18). Our opening scripture gives us the picture of the man that’s not born again; what his spirit is like before God—a very gloomy depiction indeed. Ephesians 2:12 says, “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.” How could anyone live without God? Such people are dead in trespasses and sins and walk according to the prince of the power of the air, which is Satan. Awful! It shows how important it is for us to keep preaching the Gospel and interceding for lost souls. Ephesians 4:18 declares that they’re alienated from the life of God. Ephesians 2:12 says the
