THE POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Thoughts are pictures of the mind that have constructive or destructive potential. Thoughts also have power and create realities. The quickest way to affect your thoughts is through mental pictures. You’ve got to see first in your mind the things you desire for your life. In Genesis 15:1, God told Abraham, “Fear not, I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” But instead of Abraham to be excited at God’s Word, he complained bitterly: “Sovereign Lord, what good are all your blessings when I don’t even have a son? Since I don’t have a son, Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in my household, will inherit all my wealth” (Genesis 15:2-3 TNLB). God, however, knew what to do to make Abraham believe; He gave him a mental picture. He “…brought him forth abroad, and said, look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and He cou...

THINK FRESH;THINK SUCCESS!

Part of the reason young people can be very successful, where older people fail, is that many young people don't know enough to be afraid. Most older people know too much; they have too much information about what doesn't work. They remember when they tried something and it failed, and so they become cynical. It's a lot harder to inspire such people to make a fresh move or have a fresh start. Understand that being old in this context isn't so much about a person's age, but about the state of his mind. Your body might age, but refuse to age in your mind. Think fresh; think success. God loves to use young people, because they think fresh all the time; they easily believe, and are always passionate about learning something new What will you be like when you're ninety-two? I can tell, if you put this message to work: You won't be crying that nothing works. Instead, you'll be the one teaching and imparting faith to the younger generation. You'll be ...

A DIFFERENT MIND-SET - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it (Numbers 14:24). When God wanted to train and raise the children of Israel after bringing them out of Egypt, He used Moses. Why? The answer is simple: He needed somebody with a different mentality from what the children of Israel had. The children of Israel had the slave mentality, but Moses was different. He had been a prince in Pharaoh’s palace. You couldn’t take that away from him. Even though he had become a shepherd in the desert, he was a prince inside him; his mind-set was that of a prince. When he saw the strange sight of a bush burning, and yet the thicket wasn’t consumed, he didn’t run away terrified. Instead, he said, “...I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt” (Exodus 3:3). He was fearless. Two other Bible characters after Moses, with a similar mind-set are Joshua a...

YOUR HARVEST IS IN YOUR MOUTH

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Some people wonder why things aren’t working out right in their finances in spite of the fact that they pay their tithes and give their offerings. Jesus said in Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom….” This already indicates that when you give, there’s an increase of grace for you to receive. So when you pay your tithes, give your offerings, or sow special seeds, you’re actually opening up your capacity to receive. However, you have to water the seeds you’ve sown with the Word of God and prayer and then call forth your harvest with your faith-filled confessions. So in sowing your seeds, send them forth by the anointing, by speaking the Word over them, and begin to call forth your harvest. You can call forth your harvest anytime, for harvest is...

HEAR AND THINK RIGHT- PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

For as he (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he... (Proverbs 23:7). Change is something we all want, should have, and continually crave; change from glory to glory. Change, whether positive or negative, results from the words you pay attention to, and the thoughts they stir up in your heart. The Lord Jesus taught His disciples to hear and think right. In Mark 4:24, He said, “...Take heed what ye hear....” Then in Luke 8:18, He said, “Take heed therefore how ye hear....” How you hear is as important as what you hear, because how you hear often determines your response and attitude, as well as the ability to appropriate the power of the words that come to you. Words make or mar. Our lives are influenced by words; the atmosphere in your home depends on the words that are spoken therein. Your relationships are built on words. Our lives are so dependent on words that, not only do they affect our attitudes, they also affect our health and living conditions. Whether or not you’re liv...

THINK…TALK…AND ACT THE WORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME .

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32). Being born again, you were born by the incorruptible Word of God. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). So, you ought to learn how to use the Word of God. Learn to think, talk, and act as though the Word of God is true, because it is. Jesus said, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). If you don’t think, talk and act as though the Word is true, what you’d have will be mere religion, and there’s no life in religion. The Bible says, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away... Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:5-7). You can bet your life on the Word; its integrity is unquestion...

As a Christian, it’s important how you think and what you think about. You’re not of this world; therefore, you shouldn’t think like an ordinary person. Don’t say, “I’m American or I’m Australian, as a result, there’s a way I think.” No! When you’re born again, you cease to be of your earthly nativity, because your spirit is recreated. You should therefore only think the Word-way. God’s Word must form the basis for the kind of thoughts you process and allow. Now that you’re in Christ, you have a new culture: the Ch...

Season Greetings Beloved Saints of God! Imagine someone who’s been given up by doctors to die. If he hears and believes in the love of God, hope will be rekindled in him and he’ll immediately start seeing the possibility of a better life. The Bible says, “…hope maketh not ashamed…” (Romans 5:5);  in other words, hope that’s anchored on God’s Word will never be dashed. This is why we must keep preaching and teaching about the love of the Father, so the people of the world can hear and dare to believe, that hope may blossom in their hearts. As they continue to hear and med...

This is what the Lord wants. He desires to change your opinion about Him, about other people, about the world, your perception about life, and even about yourself. He wants you to think right all the time. If you had fear in your life, for example, He wants you to replace it with faith, boldness, and confidence. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” The Word is the solution fo...
