READ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. WATCH YOUR HEART – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. . SUNDAY, JUNE 12TH 2016.

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). On a certain day, Samuel the prophet went to the house of Jesse to anoint one of the sons of Jesse to become king of Israel. As soon as Samuel saw Eliab, Jesse’s first son, he said, “Behold the Lord’s anointed is before Him,” and wanted to anoint Eliab to be the king. But God stopped Samuel and said, “I have refused him.” God didn’t say, “I have not chosen him”; if He had said so, that would have been rather okay, because He had the right to choose whomever He wanted to be king. However, He said, “I have rejected him,” meaning that He considered Eliab and found him unsuitable. God must have seen something in his heart that made him unfit to be king; none of his other brothers were chosen either. David, who at the time was tending h

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

1 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” The opening scripture is quite instructive as to what a Christian must do in trying moments, when faced with unpleasant experiences and pains. The Apostle Paul, in those verses, acknowledges the tribulations he encountered and the ensuing comfort he received from the Lord. He added that the comfort he received was to the intent that he might be able to comfort others who are in any trouble, by the same comfort with which he was comforted by God. In other words, Paul chose to see his trials as moments of training, to prepare and equip him with the ability to help others in their time of trouble. What an attitude! He didn’t grumble, complain, become discouraged or blame God for allowing such pa

THE POWER OF YOUR WORDS

“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!” (James 3:5) One of the greatest gifts that God gave to man is the power to use words. Words are the building blocks of life; they create the image of a man’s life, and the circumstances in it. Words direct the course of life for every man, and they are the power to control your future. Also, words are spiritual elements. This means, words don’t die; they are never lost! Jesus admonishing the Pharisees said, “…every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment” (Matthew 12:36). This shows us the value of words, and why we must consistently speak the right words – faith filled words. Only use words that are consistent with what God has said about you in His Word. Speak words of faith, love, hope, health, prosperity, success and victory always. Don’t say what you perceive with your physical senses; rather, agree with, confess,

A STRESS-FREE LIFE

The Christian life is a life devoid of struggles! The reason some Christians struggle and are weighed down by the cares of this world is that they haven’t fully grasped the message of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It important to realize that Jesus completely finished the work of redemption; opening to us the door to a life without stress and worry. So He invited everyone, “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 CEV). Peter walked on water to meet Jesus because he had faith in the Master’s Words. The moment he took his eyes off Jesus, he saw the boisterous winds and raging waves and he began to sink. His struggle to keep afloat was to no avail, and he began to drown despite his efforts. But when he cried out to Jesus for help, the Master pulled him afloat. Are you struggling in your life right now? Maybe you’re facing financial challenges. Stop struggling! Jesus said “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature (Colossians 1:15). The Lord Jesus is the visible, physical representation of God, the very image of God. He said in John 14:9, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father….” God is invisible; you can’t see Him with your optical eyes; so Jesus came as the outward expression of the invisible God. Colossians 2:9 says, “For in him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Jesus represented God to the whole world when He walked the earth. Whatever men required from God was embodied in Jesus. When you saw Jesus, you saw God. Colossians 1:16-17 tells us that “…by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Jesus holds all things together by the Word of His power. For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts (Malachi 2:7). In Christ, we’ve been made kings and priests unto God (Revelation 1:6). Thus, we have a ministry in Christ as king-priests of God. The priest’s tongue should keep knowledge. That means your lips should flow with the knowledge of God, to teach others the ways and life of Christ. The Living Bible Translation renders the latter part of our opening verse thus: “The priests are the messengers of the Lord Almighty, and men should come to them for guidance.” 1 Peter 4:11 says, “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” If anyone wants to know something about God, they should come to you. They should find the Word of God and the knowledge of th

PRAYING IN OTHER TONGUES REFRESHES YOUR SPIRIT

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day” 2 Corinthians 4:16 you can be renewed every day by the Word of God and through praying in tongues. This spiritual renewal and refreshing is what keeps you afloat with joy, even in the midst of challenging situations. Praying in other tongues refreshes your spirit, your soul and your body; never forget that. Thus, the next time you feel as though you’re almost overwhelmed or wearied with the hustle and bustle of the day’s activities, take some time to refresh yourself by praying in other tongues. There’s no dryness at all in the lives of those who pray often in other tongues, for out of their innermost beings flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). Make a habit of praying in tongues at all times, and it’ll keep you continually refreshed, vitalized, strengthened and renewed. Praise God!

READ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE WORD IS YOUR REFLECTION – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. THURSDAY, 9TH JUNE 2016.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22). The Word of God is for us to live by; it's for doing; it's for us to live out. But some Christians are trying to "obey" the Word, and that's where their problem is, because the Word isn't for us to obey. In the Old Testament, God gave the children of Israel laws, commandments to obey, but they failed. So, He changed the order. He said, "I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people" (Jeremiah 31:33). As a result, in the New Testament, you're not called to obey the Word, because you're born of the Word; you're one with the Word. The Word of God is your reflection, a mirror that shows you who you are, so that you can know and act accordingly. We hear, study, understand, and meditate on the Word, to act accordingly. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all, with open fa

Salvation in Christ Jesus is a calling to God's Kingdom of glory, excellence, dominion and power. . That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory (1 Thessalonians 2:12). The statement, “Thy kingdom come...” in Matthew 6:10 were the words of the Lord Jesus, in giving His disciples a format for prayer. That prayer has however been answered, for the Kingdom of God has come. It’s a real kingdom operating now on earth, and we’re a part of it: “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem...” (Hebrews 12:22). We’re not on our way to Zion; we’re there now. The Bible says the Father “...hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13). We’ve been called into the Kingdom of God, but according to our opening verse, our calling isn’t only about the Kingdom. We’ve been called unto His glory! These two aren’t separate: if we answered the calling for the Kingdom, we’ve answered the calling for the glory: “ Where unto  he called you by o

BE MINDFUL OF YOUR NEW NATURE

“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him” (Colossians 3:9-10). God has brought you out of darkness into His Kingdom of light: the Kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:13). Therefore, it’s important you recognize that you’ve been completely delivered from the worldly lifestyle. Galatians 3:27 says, “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” You’re not the same man you were before you were born again. Your old nature has been supplanted with God’s nature of righteousness. The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have disappeared, and-look!-all things have become new!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 ISV) People may still call or address you by the same name with which they knew you prior to your rebirth, it makes no difference; now you’re a new man in Christ. God wants you

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THINK BEYOND YOURSELF - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. TUESDAY, JUNE 7TH 2016.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). Our opening verse shows that there’s power working in us; power from within. It’s the power of the Holy Spirit. You can make that power work for you every time. The onus is on you to put it to work, for it’s in your spirit. 2 Timothy 1:6 says, “...Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee....” We see a demonstration or release of this kind of power from the Master Himself in Matthew chapter fourteen. A great multitude had thronged Him, and He was moved with compassion towards them, and He ministered to them and healed many who were sick and afflicted. However, when it was evening, His disciples suggested He dismiss the crowd: “...It is already very late, and this is a lonely place. Send the people away and let them go to the villages to buy food for themselves” (Matthew 14:15 GNB), they urged Him. Now, something remarkable happened. I

JUNE: THE MONTH OF PRAYER AND RESTORATION

"There will be a restoration in many areas; this restoration includes a refreshing," Pastor declares! "Have no fear whatsoever!" With these words, courage was imparted to thousands at the O2 Arena and in several auditoria around the world, as Pastor Chris declared the message of the Spirit for June 2016. The man of God, following His announcement of 'the Month of Prayer and Restoration', quickly instructed everyone under the influence of His voice to meditate on Psalm 23 and 27 in this special month. In this anniversary month of the Pastor Chris Live prayer network, we are set to fellowship with the Spirit like never before and receive God's touch of replenishing and blessing throughout the month. Pastor said admonished us to meditate on Psalm 23 and 27 PSALM 23 (KJV) 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 H
