RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. WALK IN THE LIGHT OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD SUNDAY, 10TH APRIL 2016

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus (Romans 3:26). Jesus Christ has become your righteousness. That’s why in Christianity, we don’t walk in our righteousness; rather, we declare and boldly affirm that He’s become our righteousness. We stand in the presence of God with the righteousness of Jesus Christ; and we walk in the light of that righteousness. It’s like hiding in His glory or being covered in His glory; you’re not seen. It’s His light that’s seen; it’s His glory that’s seen. It’s His power that’s made manifest, as you walk in His righteousness. His own righteousness is what’s demonstrated in your life. That’s Christianity. It’s a walk in His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Now, you’ve become a demonstrator of His righteousness, because He manifests His righteous

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. PRACTICE THE WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD SATURDAY 9TH APRIL 2016

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:46-48). The Word of God will only profit you when you live it, when you consciously practice or do what it says. For example, our opening scripture is something you should practice. Live in that scripture and let it be your daily walk. A learner can make mistakes. So in practicing the Word, you may miss it, but don’t give up and say, “Well, I tried.” Keep at it, and you’ll surely get better. The latter part of our opening verse says, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). As you keep at it, you’d discover that you’re making lesser mistakes, until you can confidently say, “I have the mind of Christ.” As a Christian, practicing the Word is how you can enjoy

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. HE'S OUR MERCY SEAT - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD FRIDAY, APRIL 8TH 2016

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God (Romans 3:24-25). Due to Adam's transgression, man was separated from God. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Sadly, many have only stayed on the negative part of this scripture, without taking a step further. The twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth verses have so much faith-building thoughts. Yes, all men sinned in Adam, and fell short of the glory of God, but the problem was fixed in, and by, Jesus Christ. We've been justified, declared righteous freely, by the grace of God through the redemption that's in Christ Jesus. In our opening scripture, the Greek word translated "propitiation" is "hilaste?rion," and it means the place of mercy, or "

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. ACKNOWLEDGE THE GOOD IN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD THURSDAY, APRIL 7TH, 2016.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6). Your faith will be ineffective when you don't know who you are, what you have, and your abilities in Christ. It's so important to recognize and acknowledge your God-given potentials and blessings in Christ Jesus. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels...." In your spirit, there're treasures and virtues; there're good things in you. Everything about you is perfect and excellent! You have an exceptional quality of spirit; an excellent spirit. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Look at 2 Corinthians 5:17-18. It says "...if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all th

Jesus has taken responsibilities for your errors and your sins. His name is Jesus. S et your gaze on the Master. Don't look at the problems. Stop seeing yourself brought down. Stop seeing yourself defeated. All you have to do is to say, "Lord, I cast my cares on you". As you take the communion, have a remembrance that someone has taken all your cares and burden. Jesus is more than able! Hear this. The Lord's mighty hand is taking you through. Your set time has come. He's more than able” Go ahead and pray...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. WORDS FROM THE FATHER - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD WEDNESDAY 6TH APRIL, 2016

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). The Lord Jesus was a master of words; He had, and spoke, wisdom all the time. He was wisdom personified. He knew exactly the right words to say in every situation, to everyone, and concerning everything. His words were filled with inspiration, healing, comfort, hope, love, and power. He had words for everything. Imagine what transpired in Luke 7:11-17. He was on a journey to the city of Nain, and as He arrived at the gate of the City, He saw a funeral procession of a young man, who happened to be the only son of a widow. Moved with compassion, He touched the casket and said, “...Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother” (Luke 7:13-15). He raised the dead body of that young man back to life with words! Once, His disciples were startled amidst a raging tempest. Te

BORN INTO WEALTH UNTOLD!

“ The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ …” (Romans 8:16–17) Being born again, you have an inheritance in Christ, Apostle Paul described this as unsearchable riches (Ephesians 3:8); wealth untold! It was bequeathed to you by the Monarch of the Universe – the One who said  “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine…”  (Haggai 2:8). All the wealth in this world belongs to God and by extension to you, for you are His heir. You are the heir of the mega-rich God; the fountain of riches. His wealth is limitless, inestimable and unquantifiable. Thus you’re born into wealth untold! Your Father’s wealth isn’t subject to the market forces of this world, or the stability of the world’s economy. That’s why it’s an insult to God for His kids to be broke and live beggarly lives. What you must learn to do is tap into this limitless wealth through your confessions of faith. Decla

MAKE YOUR TONGUE YOUR TREE OF LIFE!

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit (Proverbs 15:4). Using your mouth rightly is a vital key that unlocks the blessings of salvation in your life! Stressing the importance of this, 1 Peter 3:10-11 says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” Though your tongue is small, it controls everything in your life; with it, you can chart your course in righteousness, dominion, success, and prosperity. There's no situation that can’t be changed, and no wound in your body that can’t be healed, if you'd make your tongue your own tree of life by declaring God’s Word over your life and situation. The word, “wholesome” in our opening verse is translated from the Hebrew word, “marpe,” which means healing and health. A “wholesome” tongue, therefore, is a tongue that’s curative, a fountain of life, because it's filled with the Word of God! Speak

ANOINTED FOR THE MIRACULOUS

“ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him ” (Acts 10:38) Jesus’ ministry began in full when He received the Holy Ghost. Prior to His baptism at the Jordan, there was no record of Him performing any miracles. It was after He received the Holy Spirit that He went about doing good, healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). The Holy Spirit enables us for the miraculous; Jesus Himself testified that “ the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works ” (John 14:10); He was referring to the Holy Spirit in Him. It was the Holy Spirit who brought all the power into Jesus’ life. Now, for us who are born again, we’ve been anointed with the same Holy Spirit for good works. Romans 8:11 lets us know that the same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in us today; He vitalizes, enables and energizes us for good works. This is why in

LIVE A LIFE OF GRACE

“ For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ ” (Romans 5:17) The word receive in the verse above is translated from the Greek word, “lambano,” which means to “take” or “catch” something as yours; to get hold of something; to seize it and make it yours. Abundance of grace, on the other hand, means overflowing grace; unlimited overflowing grace. This means it’s up to you to take as much grace as you want.  This is what the Apostle Paul meant when he told Timothy “… Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus ” (2 Timothy 2:1). That means take advantage of the grace. Don’t take a little of it; ‘lambano’ as much as you require. Receive grace for your reign in life. To reign is to exercise control, influence and authority. It means to rule and be in charge; in essence, live as a king.  This overflowing grace only works for those who receive it. It’s your

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE VICTORY SHOUT - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD TUESDAY, APRIL 5TH, 2016

Listen to the glad shouts of victory in the tents of God’s people: The LORD’s mighty power has done it! (Psalm 118:15 GNB). Chapter six of the book of Joshua tells us how the walls Jericho fell down flat for the children of Israel to take over the city. They didn’t need cranes or heavy duty equipment to crumble the walls; they did it with a shout! Read the inspiring account in Joshua 6:2-5; they had wanted to go into Jericho, but the wall prevented them, for they were too high and too thick. However, God gave them an instruction. He didn’t instruct them to pray, or beg. All He asked them to do was to march round the wall without saying anything, and then give a shout at the appointed time. What followed was breathtaking: the walls fell down, flat. There’s something about our shout in the Holy Ghost; it’s not ordinary. When people haven’t received the Holy Spirit, that’s when things like this mystify them. If you go to a Church where they never shout, something is surely missin

RECEIVE FORGIVENESS

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9) Jesus is the propitiation and appeasement for our sins. The Bible says in 1 John 2:1-2, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” The Blood of Jesus is the remedy for every sin; there’s no sin that can’t be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. So as a Christian, if you’ve done anything wrong, God’s not mad at you; what He expects is that you take advantage of the provision He’s made for the forgiveness of your sin. Forgiveness of sins is an aspect of our inheritance as God’s children, therefore be quick to take advantage of it. Christians have the right to receive forgiveness for sins, but this doesn’t apply to the unconverted, as what th

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL EMPOWERED TO PROSPER - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, 4TH APRIL 2016

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and  ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and  that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall  ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (John 15 :16). Psalm 1:3 reveals something phenomenal about you, and the life of extraordinary prosperity God has called you to. It says, “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” This should let you know that your prosperity isn’t dependent on the economics and economies of this world. The people of the world spend time looking for the moving or “booming” business or trade to invest in. That shouldn’t be your thinking, as the seed of Abraham. Think from a higher level. Notice again the words of the Spirit in Psalm 1:3: “…and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” He didn’t say you’ll prosper if the business is what’s trending or b

APRIL, THE MONTH OF LIFTING...

If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord , honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord ; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. Isaiah 58:13-14 KJV To ride upon the high places... God's about to do a great thing in your life... When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. Job 22:29 KJV Did you hear that? Don't join others to talk about the casting down... Lift - To raise from a lower to higher position. Lift is a verb 1. it means to raise to a higher position or level. “He lifted his trophy over his head" 22:30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by
