GOD IS YOUR ALL IN ALL FOR REAL (YOUR DADDY)

Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek :) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things (Matthew 6:31-32). How comforting, and what a blessing to know that the Almighty God is truly your heavenly Father. This should give you extraordinary confidence and boldness to win every day in life. Think about it: you’re the child of the Monarch of the universe! Now that you’re born again, you’ve been baptized into Christ, and awakened to the fatherhood of God. Observe again the inspiring teaching of the Lord Jesus in our opening scripture. He’s saying, “Relax, be at peace, and be full of joy! Refuse to fret over what you’ll eat or drink, what to wear, or where to stay! I know everything you need, and I’ve already made provision for you.” 2 Peter 1:3 lets us know that our heavenly Father has already given us everything we need for life and god

PLUG INTO THE FLOW

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day” (Deuteronomy 8:18 ) Did you just get a promotion or a raise in your salary? Have you just bought a new car or moved into your new home? Well if you have, what is the significance of your promotion in God’s Kingdom? What impact has your pay-raise had on the things of God? How many people were won to Christ, rejoiced, and gave God praise because of it. When you got that new car, how many people embraced Jesus for it? How many had their faith inspired by your testimony? When I receive money, you can be sure God has more finances to reach others. When you receive money, can anything of the Kingdom of God progress? If not, then something is wrong! There are some who think they don’t have much, but even from the little they have, God can’t speak to them to release something to Him. They simply wouldn’t believe e

GOD COLLECTS WHAT’S HIS!

“ And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord” (Leviticus 27:30). I once read about a pastor who was asked how many members he had, and he answered, One hundred and fifty. He was asked again, how many of them are tithers? One hundred and fifty of them! He answered. The man asking him was surprised, you mean you have one hundred and fifty members and all of them are tithers? He queried. Yes, replied the pastor, but some bring their tithes and God collects it from the others! He added quickly. In other words, those who wouldn’t bring their tithe willingly, God collects it from them, because the tithe belongs to Him, and they’re all supposed to be tithers anyway. The point is this: Whether or not you know it, since you’re in the Kingdom of God, you’re a tither. If God doesn’t get it from you willingly, He’ll surely get it one way or the other, and then with interests! The tithe is not a contribut

REJECT POVERTY….!

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). According to this Scripture, the Lord Jesus came to make us rich. But there are Christians who assume poverty is necessary to live a godly life. I’ve even heard a minister pledge to poverty. I think that’s absurd! Poverty might be the mark of religion but it’s definitely not the mark of Christianity. In 1980, at a ministers’ conference that I was privileged to attend, T. L. Osborn made a remarkable statement that stirred much controversy then. He said, “Poverty is a sin. “I’m sure this statement will stir up as much controversy today as it did then. It’s imperative that we correct the impression that poverty is a prerequisite for serving God. Otherwise, 2 Corinthians 8:9 will be false and meaningless. Poverty is contrary to the provisions of God in His Word; reject it in its entirety. No father would want his ch

DON’T STOP UNTIL THERE’S A CHANGE!

Do you know your persistency in prayer is absolutely vital to changing your circumstances? Sometimes when you have a matter to settle or you desire a change in a situation you don’t have full jurisdiction over, you have to continue in prayer until that change comes. Now this doesn’t negate faith nor mean you’re unbelieving. Actually, the reason you choose not to give up or shift grounds is because you’re acting your faith. The Bible says that ’’…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working) (James 5:16 b AMP)’’. Many are too used to praying “emergency prayers” that don’t work. They wait until the pressure mounts and then start pushing panic-buttons and praying fast prayers for fast answers. But Elijah knew better. We read in our opening scripture what he did when he wanted a miracle: he cast himself down upon the earth and put his head between his knees, praying heartfelt, continued prayer (1 Kings 18:42-44). He

JUST KEEP GROWING

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed” (Acts 19:20) This is the best day to be alive! There’s a strong move of God’s power in our time. We’re seeing the goodness of God in our time like never before. It’s the day of perpetual prosperity and victory. If you’ve received Zoe (the God-kind of life), no longer should you cry for anything or be discouraged. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1 Peter 1:23). In other words, everything that’s connected to you takes its life from the Word. This means your prosperity, victory, promotion, success or health lives and abides forever. The life inside you is the life of God’s Word. According to the Bible, one of the unique characteristics of the Word of God is the ability to grow mightily and prevail in spite of any situation (Acts 19:20). Likewise, your finances ought to grow mightily and prevail in spite of the economic situation. It mak

GET GOD’S ATTENTION

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15) I’ve seen people try to bring down the heavens with their praise. They praise God so loud with their voices until they shout themselves hoarse. Anybody can sing, dance and shout to praise God. Now, there’s nothing wrong with praising God with dancing and shouting and singing; the Word actually says to do that. However, there’s a kind of praise that gets God’s attention. I am talking about a kind of praise God cannot but respond to.  That was the kind of praise Solomon gave God. Indeed, Solomon praised God with his voice and danced, but he didn’t stop there. He thought much of this great God of glory and honored Him with his substance. He offered such sacrifices to God as no king ever had a thousand burnt offerings (1 Kings 3:3-4), and that got God’s attention. Later that same night, God showed up in his bedroom and told him, A

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:19-20). That’s a profound sovereign declaration of Deity; an absolute statement of truth! So, if you’re there wondering, Why couldn’t I get the money? Why couldn’t I get the job? Why couldn’t I get that promotion for which I prayed and fasted? Jesus gives you the answer: it’s because of your unbelief! Someone may say, We prayed that my uncle wouldn’t die; we even got a prophecy from God that he wouldn’t die but he still died. Oh God, why? Stop asking why! The man died because of your unbelief, period! Check out the Lord Jesus: they sent a message to Him Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:19-20). When it c

MAINTAINING YOUR VICTORY THROUGH GRATITUDE

…Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen (Revelation 7:12). One important thing you can give to God is your praise and thanksgiving. In Luke 17:17, Jesus asked the leper who returned to give thanks, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine.” In Matthew 26:27, Jesus gave thanks to God for the cup – His own blood that would be shed! David wanted to show kindness to anyone who was left of the house of Saul, because of his gratitude to his friend Jonathan (2 Samuel 9:7). Elisha prayed for the woman who provided him with food and shelter to have a child – that was his expression of gratitude for the love she had shown to him (2 Kings 4:12-17). Maybe you’re thinking to yourself that there’s particularly nothing to be thankful for; you’re thinking, “After all, I’m sick” “I’m unhappy”; “I have bills to pay.” Well, if you’re a Christian, your life ought to be radiant and full of thanksgiving. E

LIFE BEYOND LIMITS!

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:7). The Lord has ordained for your life to be full of His glory through Christ Jesus. There’s no limit to how glorious and blissful your life should be. There’s no end to your prosperity, victory, success and advancement! Christ in you takes away the limits. The glory of God came into your life the day you were born again. Therefore, your life ought to move from one realm of glory to another and from faith to faith. Tomorrow should be better than today, next year should be greater than this year; that’s the life of the Christian! You can have the glory of God manifested in your life, your job, your finances, your family, everyday in an ever-increasing measure. The path of the righteous is as a shining light that shine

MAKE YOUR TONGUE YOUR TREE OF LIFE!

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit (Proverbs 15:4). Using your mouth rightly is a vital key that unlocks the blessings of salvation in your life! Stressing the importance of this, 1 Peter 3:10-11 says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” Though your tongue is small, it controls everything in your life; with it, you can chart your course in righteousness, dominion, success, and prosperity. There's no situation that can’t be changed, and no wound in your body that can’t be healed, if you'd make your tongue your own tree of life by declaring God’s Word over your life and situation. The word, “wholesome” in our opening verse is translated from the Hebrew word, “marpe,” which means healing and health. A “wholesome” tongue, therefore, is a tongue that’s curative, a fountain of life, because it's filled with the Word of God! Speak

PECULIAR, SUPERNATURAL, AND EXTRAORDINARY!

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). Being born again, you're a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), having the life and nature of God in your spirit. See His description of you in 1 Peter 2:9: "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light". You're peculiar, chosen, royal, supernatural, and one of a kind! See yourself in this light. The Word of God is God's mirror, which He gave to you, so you can look and see who you really are. For example, in His prayer to the Father, Jesus said "...the glory which thou gavest me I have given them... (John 17:22); that's God holding up His mirror for you to see that you're a partaker of His glory. You've been glorified with Jesus. Ponder again on His

CARRY THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE

“ But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice ” (Psalm 68:3). It’s amazing how anyone could go on for prolonged periods with a sad face day after day, and week after week; that’s inconsistent with the nature of a child of God. A look that carries the presence of sadness cannot release joy, happiness, meekness and calmness; this is why the Christian must not carry a gloomy countenance. The presence you carry around you speaks louder than how you smell or what you wear; it tells the condition of your spirit. The life of a believer ought to be exciting – not ordered by the dictates of this life but by the Word. The recreated man is victorious, peculiar, and more than a conqueror; he walks with zest and dispenses life to everything in his environment. His lips are a spring of life that refreshes the hearts of those who hear him. His lights up wherever he is – his countenance creating an atmosphere of joy and peace, and no one is unco

WHERE THE WORD OF A KING IS THERE IS POWER

One of the most profound truths revealed to us in God’s word as evident in the teachings of Jesus is that we can have what we say. As a Christian, your words are not empty; what you say comes to pass. You can talk to anything, including your body. You can talk to negative situations such sickness and disease, and they will surely obey you. Someone may say, “I have a growth in my stomach and it’s hurting so bad, the doctor says it is cancer.” Stop talking about the growth; talk to it instead. Tell it to die and pass out of your body! In mark 11:23, Jesus didn’t say we should talk about the mountain or say what the mountain is doing; he said, “Talk to the mountain! Tell it to move.” In same way, don’t complain about the severity of the pain or trouble you‘re feeling in your body. Talk to your body; tell the pain to cease and tell your body to function rightly in line with the life of God that’s in your spirit. Remember, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It’s not for Sickness,

Words mean everything. Learn why in today's Rhapsody. If you don't have your October copy yet, download from http://rhapsodyofrealities.org Revelation 5:10 says: "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth". READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL WORDS MEAN EVERYTHING - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY 14TH OCTOBER 2016

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37). The greatest gift given to man in his natural life is the gift of words; the ability to express himself in words. It’s an extraordinary gift from God to human beings. Your inner personality comes out in words. Your words are important; words mean everything. Sadly, many haven’t realized this, and it’s the major reason they live ordinary lives here on earth. Everything God gave us is activated through words. Our very salvation depends on words. You received salvation by words; you maintain salvation by words. Whether you live or die is dependent on your words. Whether you live in sickness or health, poverty or wealth, victory or defeat, depends on your words. The Lord gave you the ability to speak; to use your mouth to chart your course aright in life. Your mouth wasn’t given to you primarily for eating and drinking and communicating with others; the primary function of your mouth

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TURN THE SEARCHLIGHT ON YOURSELF - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME THURSDAY 13TH OCTOBER 2016.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you…? (2 Corinthians 13:5). Everyone is the expression of what he or she believes. Your daily life is the loudest voice that gives expression to your belief. As a Christian, therefore, it’s easy for you to review what you truly believe, and determine whether or not you’re living the authentic Christian life by examining yourself and your actions. Turn the searchlight on yourself. Ask yourself, “What kind of life am I living?” “What have I been like?” “Am I expressing the love of Christ in truth?” “Has the Word affected my communication, to manifest the Kingdom of God in humility and in righteousness?” You need to ponder on such thoughts from time to time as you evaluate your life with the sole purpose of building and maintaining an excellent character. Be sure that you’ve been putting the Word to work in your personal life. Be sure that your will and emot

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL GOD’S RESPONSE TO THE CRY OF HUMANITY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY, 11TH OCTOBER 2016

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:13-14). All around us, we see many whose stories depict frustration and despair, pain and poverty; they’re broken, displaced, and helpless. Some people see this terrible picture of the needy and ask, “Isn’t there a God? Couldn’t He have done something?” Yes, there’s a God; and He already did something. First, He gave us the mind to think about such people, see the state they’re in, and then imbued us with the ability to pitch in and help. But you see, much greater than whatever help we could render is what He did in sending Jesus Christ to the world. Jesus is God’s answer to all of man’s challenges, the solution to every problem. Man needs much more than food, water, shelter, medicine and money; man needs divine life. And only Jesus gives that life. He said, “…I have come that they may have life, and have i

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THE RIGHT SONGS IN WORSHIP - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY 10TH OCTOBER 2016

But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him (2 Kings 3:15). It’s so important to worship the Lord. Through worship, you set up an atmosphere for miracles in and around you, and create the right environment for the Spirit of God to operate. It may be with a song or a scripture; as you sing or declare it in worship, the presence of God can literally overwhelm your situation, resulting in a miracle. It’s one of the several reasons we make music unto the Lord. The right spiritual song of worship can position you to hear from God. Once, Elisha was with three kings who came to him for counsel. But because he was offended at one of them, the king of Israel, and had responded to the king in anger, he couldn’t minister under the anointing (2 Kings 3:13-14). The kings wanted to receive the Word of God from him, but he couldn’t readily prophesy. So, what did he do? He said, “Bring me a musician.” The Bible says when the
