READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. ABILITIES OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. SUNDAY, AUGUST 7TH, 2016.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV). The Bible shows us that there’re three important virtues that God has given to human beings. Cats and dogs don’t have them, neither do demons nor angels; only human beings express these three virtues, as clearly delineated for us in the above scripture. Now, faith is the ability to acknowledge the invisible and to act, in spite of sensory perceptions. Hope is the ability to expect and to project into the future. Love is the ability to give and accept value, trust, and fellowship. If you observed these definitions closely, you’d have noticed the emphasis on the word, “ability.” In reality, these three are abilities; they’re important abilities and virtues. God gave these abilities of the human spirit to us as tools. If they’re tools, then we must use them. Let’s take faith for example: Jesus was with His disciples in a boat and was sleeping at the rear. A strong wind a...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE WONDER OF HIS WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. SATURDAY, AUGUST 6TH, 2016.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11). It would seem paradoxical to think that some people who go to church don’t have time to listen to the Word. Some of them love the music; they enjoy the music ministrations, after which they leave the church service. They don’t wait for the message, because they have no value for the Word. The Word of God is too important. To value the Word is to value Jesus, for Jesus is the living Word. The Bible says, “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be” (Genesis 49:10). When the Word of God is taught in church, it’s not only so we can learn it or just for us to believe and act upon it, but it’s also for the Word to reproduce itself in us. It’s the greatest benefit we derive from the W...

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - FRI AUG 5TH 2016

Your life is the character of your words. Words never die. They form your spiritual image. Learn more in today's Rhapsody or download from http://rhapsodofrealities.org Ephesians 5:18-19 says: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord". At 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in other tongues for all 15mins, speaking forth the prophetic word as the spirit gives us utterance. Pray also for countries where Christians are persecuted, that there be a change in those nations and that God's people be protected and preserved from every evil work; that they be strengthened by God's Spirit and filled with more boldness to declare the Word with power, that many through them may be saved. Hallelujah! God bless you.

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. YOU’RE THE EXPRESSION OF YOUR WORDS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. FRIDAY, AUGUST 5TH 2016.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). The most important natural gift given to human beings is the ability to talk. God gave us this special ability so we can be like Him. Words are not a language; words are spirits. Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). Your life is the character of your words. You’re what your words, your ideas, your thoughts, and your opinions express. What you see when you look at “you” every day at home, in the office, in the streets, or at the marketplace, is the outward embodiment of your words, ideas, and opinions. You are your words. No man is ever different from his words. If a man’s words are defective, then his character will be...

THIS IS MY TESTIMONY

I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water, my leaves are evergreen and shall never wither. I am flourishing like the cedars of Lebanon. I don't know when dryness comes. I function under the unction of the Holy Spirit and I know all things. I am like the city set on a hill, I cannot be hidden. I am the light of the world. I am the salt of the earth, I preserve the earth. I do not walk in darkness because my path is that of a shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. I am walking in divine health because I have got the life of God in me, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. Every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, every cell of my blood is inundated with the life of God. I am a champion for life. Prosperity is mine, Favor is mine. My victory is sure. I am making progress, I am moving forward and upward only, No stagnation in my life. I am a success for life because of the Holy Spirit. I deal excellently in all my affa...

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - WED AUG 3RD 2016

True faith must be definite and directed. Learn more from today's Rhapsody or download from http://rhapsodyofrealities.org Ephesians 6:18-20 says: "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak". In both 15mins sessions at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in tongues, and specially for our fellow saints around the world, that the Word of the Lord will have free course in and through them and be glorified. Pray also for Pastors and leaders in ministry, affirming that they are continually filled with boldness to declare the Word with power, and are strengthened daily with might by God's Spirit in their inner man, effectively carrying out the...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. FAITH IN THE WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME . WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3RD 2016.

And Jesus said unto them…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20). Have you ever heard someone say, “I have faith in the Bible?” That doesn’t really make any spiritual sense. You can have faith that the Bible is true, and that it contains the Word of God, but to have faith that it’ll protect you if you place it under your pillow at night won’t work. Don’t rest your faith on “the Bible,” but in the Word of God contained therein. Remember, we observed in our last study that the Bible is the testimony of God, but it contains the words of men, Satan, demons, and even a donkey. So to have faith in the Bible in that generic sense isn’t what works. Your faith has to be in God’s Word, and by that, faith requires to be definite and directed. True faith originates from God’s specific Word; and that’s what produces results. The “logos” of God is...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE BIBLE IS GOD’S TESTIMONY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY, AUGUST 2ND 2016.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (2 Peter 1:21). Many, out of ignorance, treat the Bible like any other book. They say, “Inspired men wrote the Bible the same way William Shakespeare was inspired to write ‘Julius Caesar.’” That’s not true. There’re different kinds of inspirations. There’s the inspiration of a poet, which has nothing to do with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. A poet could look at nature and be inspired, but the inspiration that comes from the Holy Spirit transcends such; it’s divine inspiration. The Bible is a revelation; a compilation of the out-breathings of God; its God’s revelation given in words. Yes, it contains history, poetry, prophecy and so on; but these are all according to the Spirit of God and from His perspective. You’ll find in the Bible what God said; what angels said; what Satan said; what demons said; what prophets said; what men and women said, and what ...
