READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL HE LIVES IN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SUNDAY, MAY 21ST 2017 .

Joyous  Greetings Saints of God!   Download your complete e-copy of May Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional for free in any language of your choice just click here  http://dl.rhapsodyofrealities.org/en/ro/home/Pst%20John  Or http://bit.ly/2dvYHJ9 God bless You Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  (1 Corinthians 3:16). The Spirit’s communication in the verse above is a very enlightening one. He emphasized a similar thought in 1 Corinthians 6:19, drawing attention to who we really are: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Many in the Church today are ignorant of this deep spiritual truth. If you’re conscious that the Spirit of God, who is the conveyor of the blessings of God, and of all that’s been given to us in Christ Jesus, lives in you, how could you live an ordinary life? Even if your body has...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TRUE FULFILLMENT - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SATURDAY, MAY 20TH .

Courteous  Greetings Saints of God! Download your complete e-copy of May Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional for free in any language of your choice just click here   http://dl.rhapsodyofrealities.org/en/ro/home/Pst%20John  Or http://bit.ly/2dvYHJ9 God bless You There is far more to your inner life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body (Luke 12:23 MSG).  Life has much deeper fulfillment than money, material things, and earthly pleasures. Some people have amassed so much wealth and abundant material possessions, yet they aren’t fulfilled. Some think that by acquiring more money and properties, making more friends, having more children or getting more famous, they’ll finally become fulfilled, but they’ve realized it’s not so. True fulfillment is in discovering your divine purpose; God’s will for you in Christ, and accomplishing it. Jesus said, “…My meat is to do the will of him t...

TRAIN YOURSELF TO LOVE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10). Everyone deserves and qualifies to be loved, including those you may perceive to be “your enemies.” Jesus said, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). You don’t only love those who love you; you love everyone with the unconditional love of Christ. All people are the same when it comes to love. Everyone has the capacity to give and receive love. Everyone wants to be loved, though not everyone wants to give it or respond to it. Love is the greatest power in the universe. It goes beyond cultural divides, religious barriers, ethnic differences, and social stratification. Train yourself to walk in love. It’s a conscious choice you have to make; it’ll transform your life. In John 13:34, Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one ...

GOD IS LOVE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (1 John 4:7-8). Love is the totality of God’s nature. This is beyond someone having love in his heart or the ability to love; it means that He’s love personified. God is love! And because He’s love, He doesn’t have the capacity to hate; it’s not possible for God to hate. Hate is of the darkness. God is light, and in Him, there’s no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Someone may reference Romans 9:13 and ask, But didn’t God say, “...Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated?” (Read Malachi 1:2-3). This is where understanding the place of poetry and prophecy, and the dichotomy of expression in the Scriptures come in. The language of the Prophe...

THE TRUE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE

By him (Jesus Christ) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrews 13:15) Just as the priest offered sacrifices of burnt offerings and incense in the Old Testament, today, we offer sacrifices of praise to God with the fruit of our lips, which are the words we speak in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. The sacrifice of praise transcends superficial statements like, "Lord, I thank you for everything." For it to be a true sacrifice of praise to God, it must be mixed with substance from your spirit; you must have definite reasons for praising Him, and then voice those reasons. If I said to you, "Thank you for cleaning the house so well," I've praised you. In the same vein, praising God means giving Him thanks in the Name of Jesus for specific reasons. The sacrifices of praise are confessions, declarations, psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that you render to Him for His...

FOCUS ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance (Luke 15:7) Living for Jesus Christ and making yourself His partner in building and transforming lives around the world is what counts the most in life. God did the ultimate: He gave His Son to die to bring us to Himself; to win us to Himself. So everything in your life—your thoughts, ideas, the excellence in your life—should be about soul-winning. Many are concerned about the lesser things of life; but you must focus on the Gospel. True fulfillment and satisfaction in life is only derived from living for the Lord, fulfilling His dream. Many get carried away by their needs or their personal dreams; that’s wrong. Take your eyes off yourself; pursue and fulfill God’s dream. Live your life as an ambassador and steward of the mysteries of Christ; that’s what your life is for. He already said all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:...

DON’T COMPLAIN… ACT ON THE WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). Oftentimes, you’ll find certain people whose everyday life is filled with pain, discouragement and defeat. You’d expect such folks to be quick to accept help at the slightest opportunity; but they’d rather gripe and whine about the difficulties they’re going through. We find a typical example with a certain man Jesus encountered at the pool of Bethesda. He had suffered a paralytic condition for thirty-eight long years. Though Jesus knew the man had been sick for so long, He still asked him, “Do you want to get well?” The man didn’t answer the question, but got defensive and started complaining about how he had been abandoned by everyone, with no one to help him into the pool every time the angel stirred the water. He didn’t ask Jesus for help either; he ignored the important question and griped about the situation. That’s the way som...

HEAR AND THINK RIGHT- PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

For as he (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he... (Proverbs 23:7). Change is something we all want, should have, and continually crave; change from glory to glory. Change, whether positive or negative, results from the words you pay attention to, and the thoughts they stir up in your heart. The Lord Jesus taught His disciples to hear and think right. In Mark 4:24, He said, “...Take heed what ye hear....” Then in Luke 8:18, He said, “Take heed therefore how ye hear....” How you hear is as important as what you hear, because how you hear often determines your response and attitude, as well as the ability to appropriate the power of the words that come to you. Words make or mar. Our lives are influenced by words; the atmosphere in your home depends on the words that are spoken therein. Your relationships are built on words. Our lives are so dependent on words that, not only do they affect our attitudes, they also affect our health and living conditions. Whether or not you’re li...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL LIVE THE HIGHER LIFE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY, MAY 19TH .

Affable Greetings Saints of God! Download your complete e-copy of May Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional for free in any language of your choice just click here  http://dl.rhapsodyofrealities.org/en/ro/home/Pst%20John Or http://bit.ly/2dvYHJ9 God bless You These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).  These are the words of Jesus; such powerful, comforting, lifting and encouraging words! He said, “…In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” What a confession. He lived the higher life. When He physically walked the earth, even though He was in a world plagued with gross darkness, economic hardships, sickness, oppression, disasters, death, etc., He was so detached from the problems and the influences of His day. He lived in another realm, unscathed by the vagaries of nature and corrupting i...

SEVEN THINGS THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL DO FOR YOU BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

1. HE WILL BRING YOU GOD’S PRESENCE The Holy Spirit has a beautiful Identity. He is called the” ANGEL OF GOD’S PRESENCE”. He is the one that brings us the presence of God and makes it real to us – Isaiah 63:9,10a When we pray, it is the Holy Spirit that makes the divine presence real to our Spirits, and we are spiritually overwhelmed by His Glory. David understood the Important of that presence in has life – Psalm 51:11b Moses also recognized the Important of the divine presence – Exodus 33:15 God’s presence brings joy to the heart of a believer – Psalm 16:11, Romans 14:17. Joy is the fruit of the human spirit and it is Independent of circumstances. 2. HE WILL TEACH YOU The Holy Spirit unveils God’s word to us; He reveals the things of God to us – because the things of God can only be spiritually understood. – I Corinthians 2:14 He will teach you and unveil the things of God to your spirit – John 14:26 God’s word is truth, it is the reality and it is the Holy Spirit that ...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THE WRITTEN WORD IS FOR MEDITATION - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, MAY 17TH .

Flourishing  Greetings Saints of God!    Download your complete e-copy of May Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional for free in any language of your choice just click here http://dl.rhapsodyofrealities.org/en/ro/home/Pst%20John  Or   http://bit.ly/2dvYHJ9 God bless You Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (1 Timothy 4:15).  In our previous study, we alluded to the fact that God commanded His prophets to write the Word for the purpose of witness and evidence. But there was something more—a better purpose for which He wanted the Word written: It was for meditation. Having the Word in written form created images in their minds, far better than what anyone could tell them. They could read it repeatedly, and communicate the same truths, without having to alter any word or sentence. When you deliver information by oral tradition, there’re bound to be changes as it moves from one genera...

THERE’RE HIGHER PURPOSES OF PRAYER - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). Our theme verse is quite profound. The Amplified translation makes it clearer; it says, “Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty….” Prayer is very important. Oftentimes, when we talk about prayer, what comes to people’s mind is asking God for things, making entreaties and requests; that’s all they’ve known about prayer. Yes, such a prayer has its place, where you make requests, but prayer has higher purposes than asking God for your needs. Praying for material needs, that is, asking God for something for yourself is actually the lowest kind of prayer. When you pray like that, you’re praying at the babyhood stage; it’s the prayer of spiritual babies. Someone could pray, “Oh God, I need a job,” or “Lord, I need some money,” or “Dear Father, give me a car, a ...

PRAYER FOR YOU

Dear Father, I thank you for showing me the importance and value of words. I live by your Word; therefore, my communication is modeled in line with your thoughts, precepts, and direction for my life. I speak faith-filled words always, knowing that my words are filled with power to transform my life and chart my course in victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WORDS MEAN EVERYTHING - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37). The greatest gift given to man in his natural life is the gift of words; the ability to express himself in words. It’s an extraordinary gift from God to human beings. Your inner personality comes out in words. Your words are important; words mean everything. Sadly, many haven’t realized this, and it’s the major reason they live ordinary lives here on earth. Everything God gave us is activated through words. Our very salvation depends on words. You received salvation by words; you maintain salvation by words. Whether you live or die is dependent on your words. Whether you live in sickness or health, poverty or wealth, victory or defeat, depends on your words. The Lord gave you the ability to speak; to use your mouth to chart your course aright in life. Your mouth wasn’t given to you primarily for eating and drinking and communicating with others; the primary function of your mouth...

APPLY THE WORD FOR CHANGES – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16) As a Christian, it’s important that you keep making progress, and using the Word of God to improve the quality of your personality. You ought to be able to testify of definite changes in your personality in recent times, through the application of the Word of God. There should be something positive and definite that you’ve built into your character or something negative that you got rid of from your character, by using the Word of God. Subject yourself to the Word for it to effect changes in your spirit and in your soul. The change in your physical body is easy; the focus now is the change from within. You have a responsibility in building and upgrading your life with the Word of God; no one can do this for you. There’re people who haven’t changed in ten years. The same things that offended them years ago, are still offendi...

SEE THE GOOD ONLY– PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD (Psalm 33:5). Some people are always fishing for the wrong things; they never see good in anything or anywhere. They know all the bad things happening around, and are prompt to spread gossip, falsehood and negative information. Such people end up twisted in life, because they never see or celebrate the good in anything. Whereas, there’re those who always think and care about the good; they see good in everything. No matter what it is, they only look out for, and celebrate the good. They’re forever “good-conscious”; not because they’re naive, but because of the excellence of their personality. That’s how God expects you to live. The Bible says the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord; that’s all you should see—only good things. People who peddle rumors and bad news, and only see the negative side of everything can’t make much progress in life. Their values keep depreciating, and everyone who ...

BE CHRIST-INSIDE MINDED – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

…for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (2 Corinthians 6:16). God lives in you. You have to become conscious of this. You’re the temple of the living God; He’s made His home in you now. He no longer dwells in earthly tabernacles. The day Jesus was crucified was the day God left earthly temples. While Jesus was on the cross, the Bible says there was darkness in the earth for three hours. The rocks began to split; the earth began to quake. The presence of God had been in the Holy of Holies, separated from the Holy Place with a thick curtain. But when Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished,” that thick curtain was cut from the top to the bottom, and the Holy of Holies was opened, and the presence of God departed from that temple. This symbolizes that the most Holy Place is open to everybody. Before then, only the High Priest could go into that most Holy Place where the ...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL CHRISTIANITY IS A REAL LIFE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, MAY 15TH .

Luxuriant Greetings Saints of God!   Download your complete e-copy of May Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional for free in any language of your choice just click here http://dl.rhapsodyofrealities.org/en/ro/home/Pst%20John  Or http://bit.ly/2dvYHJ9 God bless You   The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). When we say Christianity isn’t a religion, there’re those who wonder, “What exactly is the difference?” There’s a great difference. Even though there’s religion in Christianity, Christianity in itself is a real life. Religion is about man’s belief in what he assumes to be: some divine being or some form of spirituality or spiritual consciousness to which he devotes himself. In other words, it’s man’s exploration of that which is spiritually unknown. In religion, man tries to find out if there’s a God. He then hopes that whatever...
