The parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 reveals the Father’s unconditional and unfailing love for us; love so real, so intense, and so sublime. In that story, after living a riotous and profligate life, the prodigal son suddenly came to himself and decided to go back to his father (Luke 15:17-18). As soon as his father saw him from afar, he ran to him and embraced him. The first thing he told his father was, “Forgive me,” and his father did! This describes the love nature of our heavenly Father towards us. Once you re

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL GOD IS LOVE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, 19TH OCTOBER 2016

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (1 John 4:7-8). Love is the totality of God’s nature. This is beyond someone having love in his heart or the ability to love; it means that He’s love personified. God is love! And because He’s love, He doesn’t have the capacity to hate; it’s not possible for God to hate. Hate is of the darkness. God is light, and in Him, there’s no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Someone may reference Romans 9:13 and ask, But didn’t God say, “...Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated?” (Read Malachi 1:2-3). GOD CARES FOR YOU

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32 It’s easy to deduce from the Scriptures that the Lord knows how to look after His own. Sadly, some have never understood this fact. The Lord Jesus asked the people a profound question in Matthew 7:11: “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Long before you showed up on the scene, God already made provision for you to live in wealth and unending prosperity; all you need to do is discover your rich inheritance in Christ, by looking into God’s Word. Psalms 35:27 says, “…Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” No wonder David declared boldly: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1) This is the reason you ought to be of good cheer always, knowing that the Lord has brought yo
