OBTAIN FORGIVENESS.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The Bible tells us in Ephesians 1:3 that God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Forgiveness is one of these blessings that we've been given in Christ Jesus. God already made forgiveness available to you; what He wants you to do is to obtain forgiveness when you need it; just receive it. This is different from asking God for forgiveness of sin. You don't need to keep asking for forgiveness over and again for the same offence; receive His forgiveness as an act of your faith. The Greek word translated "forgiveness" is "Aphiemi", which means to let go or have freedom. So, the Father's focus is your freedom from sin. By that, I don't mean freedom from the bondage of sin, but freedom from sinning. You were already removed from under the bondage of sin and darkness into the Kingdom of God

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORDthy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest (Joshua 1:9). The scripture above was God’s message to Joshua, as he led the children of Israel through the wilderness. God said to him, “Be not afraid.” Why? Because there were frightful experiences in his way. But God said, “Be not afraid.” Then He took it further; He said, “…neither be thou dismayed.” When things begin to look like you’ve been defeated, don’t be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you. What an assurance! Many years ago, I heard a story that’s remained indelibly on my mind. A Pastor told a story of how God visited a certain man

It means to walk in the light of those things that are consistent with God’s provisions for the new creation as revealed by the Word. If we’re not walking in the light, there’s no fellowship because light is inconsistent with darkness. The Word reveals, for example, that as new creations, we have justification. You’re to walk in the light of your justification. You’ve been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). You’re to walk in the light of your righteousness.

Selah (Psalm 68:19). In Matthew Chapter 6, Jesus gave His disciples a format on how to pray, and in verse 11, He said, “Give us this day our daily bread.” When He taught them this format of prayer, He hadn’t died on the cross; the New Testament hadn’t started, because a will doesn’t come into existence until the death of the testator. After the death of Jesus Christ, the New Testament was sealed; meaning that every provision from His will had become legal; you could now take advantage of it. Jesus’ teaching in that prayer does suggest that every day, in the mind of God, there’s a blessing for you; there’s more than enough supply

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PROCLAIM THE WORD TO EVERYTHING AROUND YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. MONDAY 30TH JANUARY 2017

Jesus didn’t send us to preach the Gospel to human beings only; He said, “Preach the Gospel to every creature.” That’s quite instructive. It means you can proclaim the Word to anything and everything around you, because everything in life has intelligence. Everything God made can hear and recognize His voice. Jesus proved this true. Once, He spoke to a tree and it withered from its roots (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21). Perhaps your car has been grounded; if you’d talk to it; if you’d release words of power to that car, before long, it’ll be back on the road. Maybe your house and everything in it is getting old, you can call forth a renewa

LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life (2 Corinthians 3:5-6). The society can place limits on us; our family background can place limits on us; the nation where we live, our education, our job description, our business, our finances can place limits on us. Anything could place a limit on you. But our opening verse shows that there’s a life without limits. Someone might think, “Does such a life really exist?” Well, if you don’t know about such a glorious life, you’ll never live it. If you’ve never had it, why would you think there’s none? After all, there was a time it seemed impossible to fly an airplane, and many thought the speed was too much, and no one would survive in it. There’re many things that people thought were impossible many years ago that have become common

THE KINGDOM IN YOU!

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, the kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:20-21). The Lord Jesus makes it clear that the Kingdom of God is within you. What an extraordinary communication of spiritual truth! This doesn't mean the Kingdom is inside your body. It also doesn't mean it's in your imagination. First, notice He wasn't talking about the "Kingdom of heaven", which has to do with the work that He came to start here in the earth. Rather, He said, "the Kingdom of God is within you". The Kingdom of God is all of that sphere that is under the influence of God Almighty in heaven and in earth. That Kingdom is where God resides. That's big! Try to imagine how big God is; all the heavens and the earth are inside Him. He surrounds everything, and His presence is every

ELIMINATE FEAR!

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). There’s no reason for you to be afraid of the devil, because Jesus defeated and paralyzed him, and gave you the victory. So, you’ve triumphed over Satan already; never be afraid of him! Jesus has the keys of hell and of death, which means you don’t even have to be afraid of death. Death has also been defeated; it’s the last enemy that shall be destroyed (1 Corinthians 15:26). So, why would you accommodate fear? Jesus said, “...the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” (John 14:30). This was the testimony of the Son of God. This should be your testimony as well. Every now and then, you should declare: “Satan has nothing in me! He doesn’t have his doubts in me! He doesn’t have his fears in me!” Thoughts of fear will cripple your faith, and stop the power of God from flowing in your direction. So, when negative though

MAKE POWER AVAILABLE, AND GIVE THE WORD!

...The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16 AMP). Power is the dynamic ability to cause changes. This means we can actually effect changes in our lives, in the lives of our loved ones, tame natural forces, and influence circumstances in our favor. There's a kind of prayer that never fails to produce this kind of result. That's what we read in our opening verse. This isn't the kind of prayer that lasts two minutes and you go away, no; it's earnest, heartfelt, and continued! You press with your spirit in prayer! This kind of prayer makes tremendous power available. This explains the reason many are praying, but things aren't happening; the power isn't made available. Make power available for that change that you so desire; that change that you want in your family, in your finances, and in your job! There's got to be power for the change, and the Word already shows us

FAITH DOESN'T GIVE UP!

...for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20). Sometime ago, a young lady narrated how disappointed she was with God for not answering her prayer. According to her, she had prayed for her sister to receive healing, and did everything she knew to do, yet her sister died. She believed she had faith, but couldn't understand why she didn't get the results she expected. Faith always works; if it didn't work, then it wasn't faith. God is always disposed to answering our prayers; the problem is always on the received end. This dear lady said she did everything she "knew to do", yet her sister died. Notice that she didn't say she did everything she was supposed to do, according to the Word of God. That's different from doing all that you know to do, because all you know may not be enough.

REPEL WORRIES!

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). This is why we should never worry about any situation or anything in your life. Worrying will short-circuit His power that's at work on your behalf. So, rather than worry, trust Him, for He never fails. Most people have a "worry list" that's endless. If they're not worried about the future, then it's about their marriage, or about their children, money, education, business, health etc.; that's not the life of a Christian. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." This is God's will for your life; He wants you free from struggles, worries and the troubles that weigh men down. Someone might ask, "If I have lots of problems, isn&#

YOU MUST GO TO CHURCH!

B ut if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD, THE PILLAR AND GROUND OF THE TRUTH (1 Timothy 3:15). You may ask some people, “Do you believe in Jesus Christ?” and they’ll say, “Yes”; but surprisingly, they don’t go to church! Of course, they’ve got a lot of excuses. Some would say they just don’t believe in any church, while some others say there’re different kinds of churches and so, they don’t want to get confused. There’re also those who stopped going to church because they were offended. However, there can be no excuse good enough to justify not going to church. Fellowshipping with other believers is a crucial part of your walk with the Lord. It must be a priority. Our opening verse says, "…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." It’s letting you know the ministry of the Holy Spirit that takes place in the church. Your being in church makes it pos

“MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!”

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). The Lord once said to me, “I don’t want something good to happen to you, and I don’t want something bad to happen either.” He said, “If you’re still living at that realm where you still think something good is going to happen to you, then you’re not living a mature Christian life.” So I asked, “What then is going to happen, since I should expect neither good things nor bad things to happen to me?” Then He said, “Make things happen”; “You happen!” Think about it: Could anything good or bad ever happen to God? Did you ever read in the Scriptures that God was happy because something good “happened” to Him? Or that He was sad because something bad happened to Him? He doesn’t function in such a realm. He makes things happen. In the same way, you’re a child of God, made in His image, born after His kind; you belong in His class. So, you shouldn’t have anything “happening” to you; instead, you should be the one

GRACE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me (1 Corinthians 15:10). The Apostle Paul in the verse above celebrates the grace of God that was upon his life. From the human point of view, he never would have qualified to be an apostle. Nonetheless, he became such an outstanding apostle who labored for the Gospel more than all the other apostles. He acknowledged the grace of God as the one factor that made all the difference in his life. It brings to mind the encounter between Gideon and the angel of the Lord in the sixth chapter of Judges. The angel appeared to him and said, “…The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor…Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?” (Judges 6:12-14). Gideon, evaluating himself from the natural standpoint, didn’t believe he was a mighty man of val

SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING THROUGH THE WORD.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9). There's such a thing as spiritual understanding; but sadly, many lack this important spiritual virtue. Many actually function in human, worldly, or carnal understanding. When you talk with such people, you can understand why they reason differently; they only think from the world’s perspective, because they lack spiritual understanding. Spiritual understanding comes by the Holy Spirit, and is granted you through the Word. In our opening scripture, the word “understanding” is translated from the Greek “Sunesis.” It’s an interpretation; a way of thinking; a mentality. So, the Apostle Paul, in that verse, was dealing with a certain kind of understanding—a revelatory understanding—which the Word of God gives us! This is why you need to stay in God’s Word, studying, learning,

CREATE THE REALITIES YOU DESIRE

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13). Your faith proclamation of God’s Word strengthens your spirit and causes the Word to be active in your life. Your confessions of faith change and transform you, causing you to experience the realities of the Gospel; therefore, you ought to boldly proclaim the Word in faith. There’s power and life in the Word, which gives it the ability to change hopeless situations and cause circumstances to conform to God’s plans and purposes when applied. Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…for he hath said …So that we may boldly say…” Here we are taught to boldly make faith proclamations; Jesus also taught us the same when He said in Mark 11:23, “you shall have what you say.” When you speak God’s Word in faith, the Spirit of God incubates upon it and brings it to pass. So, proclaim the Word boldly in faith concerning your health, finan
