READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. IT’S A PERSONAL FIGHT – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SUNDAY, 25TH SEPTEMBER 2016.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12). Observe that the Apostle Paul didn’t say to Timothy, “I’ll fight the good fight of faith for you”; the fight of faith is a personal fight; howbeit, a good one. It’s a good fight because you always win. It’s the only fight God expects us to fight and the weapon you need is the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. You engage in the fight of faith by holding onto God’s Word, maintaining your confessions, in the face of staggering oppositions. Perhaps, you lost your job and every effort to get a new one has proved abortive; or maybe you’re married and haven’t been able to have children. You may have even been told it’s medically impossible for you to conceive, because the fallopian tubes are damaged; whatever the case may be, refuse to panic or be agitated. Fight the good fight of faith. Against hope, believe in hop

BUILD ON A FIRM FOUNDATION

In architecture, the higher you want to build a house, the deeper the foundation has to be. The great buildings we see all over the world, were not built in a hurry or carelessly. The Lord Jesus highlights this same principle in Matthew 7:24-25, which states thus; “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which buildeth his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” The foundation of a man’s life, determines how successful he will be in life. This simple, yet powerful principle, underscores the importance of the right foundation for the structure you want to build. It is applicable to whatever you want to build in life; it may be your career, business, finances, family and relationships. The reason for the problem inherent in some people’s lives is the absence of a deep and firm foundation; and that is th

HOW TO KNOW THE VOICE OF THE SPIRIT BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” - John 10:27 One question many Christians have sought answer for is: “How do I know when the Holy Spirit is talking to me?” The first and most important thing is to receive the Holy Spirit into your heart. When this happens the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within you and mingles with your spirit. The Bible says, “ he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit… ”-(1 Corinthians 6:17), thus you become one with Him. Soon, you’ll hear His voice talking to you from your spirit. Romans 8:16 says the Spirit, “ beareth witness with our spirit ”; so you’ll have the witness in your spirit that He’s the one talking to you. He is the best One to teach you how to know His voice, so first you receive Him, then He’ll be the One to talk to you and teach you to recognize His voice. Another important thing to do in knowing the voice of the Spirit is to learn the Word of God, for His voice bears witness with the Word. He never says anythi

DEATH HAS BEEN DEFEATED!

Until Jesus came, Satan had the keys of death. The Bible lets us know that men and women were, all their lifetime, subject to bondage because of the fear of death. But Jesus put an end to that through His victory over death and the grave and liberated all men from the fear of death: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Hebrews 2:14-15). As a result of Adam’s disobedience, the Bible says death came upon all men (Romans 5:12). When Adam committed high treason back in the Garden of Eden by obeying Satan, death began to work in every man. The devil gained liberty to afflict men with sickness, disease and destruction. But blessed be God! When Jesus died on the cross, He went right into hell, the devil’s territory and took back from hi

EFFECT THE CHANGE THROUGH PRAYER

Let’s get ready to experience more joy unspeakable and full of glory as we effect more changes through our prayers. Glory! But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you… ( Acts 1:8 ). There isn’t a thing you can’t change when you pray. The reason a lot of God’s children feel despondent and helpless when they go through difficult situations is that many don’t pray; and for those who pray, many do so amiss.  Life may be replete with challenges and persecutions; however, as Christians, we need to realize that even when we’re going through such, we can still be filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Our continuous fellowship with the Lord through prayer helps us live in victory every single day. It’s high time you started praying, and it’s not difficult at all. As you continue in God’s Word, the Holy Spirit will guide you on how to pray. When you find yourself in difficult situations, first consider what the trouble is all about. Then, ask yourself,

PRAY FOR GOD’S PEOPLE

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you… (2 Thessalonians 3:1). It’s our priestly ministry as believers to pray for our fellow brothers and sisters everywhere in the world, that through them, God’s Word will be preached in the nooks and crannies of our world. Paul in his epistles, admonished believers to pray for his missionary work: “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us as a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds” (Colossians 4:3). This lets us know that we also must pray that the Holy Spirit will grant God’s people utterance and opportunities to preach the gospel where they are. In the scripture we just read, Paul highlighted two important points: utterance and opportunities. You might have the utterance and not have the opportunity to preach the Gospel, and vice versa; this is the reason we must intercede as admonished by the Spirit throug

STRENGTHENED TO DO ALL THINGS

The bible says in  Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. The Apostle Paul had such a beautiful and powerful revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Imagine what he said in the verse above, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. “Notice he didn’t say, “Some things” but “ALL things”; that means, no more weakness. Having embraced the Gospel of Christ, you’ve become invigorated with might for every task. There’s no place for timidity in your life. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Romans 5:6 says,  “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. “Yes, before we received the Gospel, we may have been weak and timid; everything broke us and melted us; we gave up so easily and couldn’t face anything. We were easily discouraged, afraid and without strength; but when the Gospel came, and we embraced it, we were turned on from within by His divine power. Now, we’re bold

GREATNESS IS IN YOUR SPIRIT

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). From the scripture above, we notice that it was God who spoke to Abraham and said, “I will make you great”; it wasn’t Abraham who cried out, “O Lord, make me great!” It was God’s choice to make him great, and from that point on, the man did great things. He defeated five kings and their armies with three hundred servants trained in his house (Genesis 14). His wealth and influence outweighed those of the nations where he dwelt. He was a force to be reckoned with by kings of nations around him because of how great he was. The Bible says,  “If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). If you’re born again, you’re the seed of Abraham; the seed of greatness is in your spirit. Therefore, you ought to do great things. Great people do great things. When the seed of greatness is in a man, he’ll undoubte

PLUGGED TO AN UNENDING SUPPLY!

“Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver” (Job 22:24-25). If you’ve ever wiped a table clean of dust, you’d have observed that after some time, some dust still managed to accumulate on the same surface you wiped so clean. This parallels the prosperity of the believer in Christ. When the Bible says you shall lay up gold as dust, it’s telling you your supply will never end! So you don’t ever have to think or talk lack, for you’re plugged to an unending supply. No wonder David said, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures…” (Psalm 23:1-2). Therefore, never be afraid when it looks as though you just used up your last savings. Here’s what you should do: say, “I lay up gold as dust; I’m plugged to God’s supply system. The money I give comes back to me in a harvest, in the Name of Jesus.” God is the One Who supplies al

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18). The above scripture is extraordinary; it reveals something striking about the believing ones: they’re supernatural beings. As a believer, there’s something about you; you’re not ordinary, because you have the divine life. It’s the reason you can’t be poisoned or destroyed; the life of God in your spirit has supplanted the human life! You’re now a partaker of the divine nature; an associate of the God-kind. It doesn’t matter what the enemy concocts against you; it makes no difference how the poison gets into your system; it shall have no power over you. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. A STRONG DESIRE FOR THE WORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23RD 2016

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever Amen (2 Peter 3:18). As a child of God, you must relish the Word of God; you must enjoy the Word. Your most exciting times should be when you’re in fellowship with the Word. God’s Word is everything; it’s what you need to be all that God has destined you to be in life. Having come to Christ, you must have a strong desire to grow in your spirit. Just like a new-born baby is fed with natural food to enhance its growth and well being, so also does God expect the one who’s born again to feed, and keep feeding, on the Word. We’re born of the Word: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1 Peter 1:23). And then 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby.” Nothing else will make you grow spiritually, except the Word. God’s Word will build you u

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come (Revelation 2:25). The Lord won’t ask you to hold fast to that which you’ve received if there wasn’t the possibility of losing it. For instance, people lose their healing; they receive healing from God and after sometime, maybe due to carelessness or not walking in the Word, they lose the healing. So, as a Christian, it’s important you stay in the Word. The Word of God is your life, and every day presents opportunities for you to live-out the Word; to keep the faith and maintain your confession of who Jesus is and all He means to you. Nothing should ever make you take your gaze and focus off the Master; He’s all that truly matters. Protect your love for Him, and your passion for the Gospel. Love the Lord selflessly, with an undying passion. Refuse to allow anger or bitterness douse your zeal, fervency, and effectiveness in ministering to others. Hebrews 12:15 says, “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; les

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. NO CONDEMNATION…NO DEATH – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER, 2016.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1). Nobody will go to hell today or be condemned because of sin, for Jesus was already condemned for our sins; He paid the full penalty for sin. Therefore, the primary reason people will go to hell is unbelief; it’s for not believing and accepting God’s testimony of His Son. It’s for rejecting God’s love which He demonstrated in the sacrifice of His Son, for the propitiation of our sins. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). To reject His love is to embrace eternal condemnation. When you love the Lord with all your heart, you’re free from any form of condemnation. And that love has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5), such that not only are we able to love the Lord, we also walk in, and

Sunday Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Topic - Training for Spiritual Authority

The almighty God reigns through me, that is the only legal way He reigns in the world today. God cannot legally do anything in my world except He does it through me. Most Christians don't know that the only way God reigns in the world today is through us. This is amazing reality, It takes the mystery out of life, it makes life more practicable. I can determine what my life will be like. In Christ Jesus I can chose the life I want to live. I can chose to be successful and healthy. God wants me victorious at all times, He doesn't sponsor flops. He wants my life to be great. He doesn't want me to be afraid or apologetic in life. The Jewish people knew God as the God of judgement. The father introduced to us by Jesus is a loving father. Jesus called God His father that was why they picked up stones to killed Him. He dared to call God His father. Religious people will do anything to keep their religion including religious Christianity. The father knows even whe

…for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (2 Corinthians 6:16). God lives in you. You have to become conscious of this. You’re the temple of the living God; He’s made His home in you now. He no longer dwells in earthly tabernacles. The day Jesus was crucified was the day God left earthly temples. While Jesus was on the cross, the Bible says there was darkness in the earth for three hours. The rocks began to split; the earth began to quake. The presence of God had been in the Holy of Holies, separated from the Holy Place with a thick curtain. But when Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished,” that thick curtain was cut from the top to the bottom, and the Holy of Holies was opened, and the presence of God departed from that temple. This symbolizes that the most Holy Place is open to everybody. Before then, only the High Priest could go into that most Holy Place where the
