READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL YOUR INHERITANCE THROUGH THE WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SUNDAY 5TH MARCH 2017 .

The concluding part of the verse above says the Word is able to “give you” an inheritance among them that are sanctified. The Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, wrote this to the Church. Why would He say this to Christians who already have an inheritance in Christ Jesus? The reason is clear. First, understand that He wasn’t talking about the ownership of the inheritance, but the inheritance being delivered into your hands. Yes, legally, all things are yours in Christ Jesus, but there’re rebel holders of authority—

ACQUIRE SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord… (Hosea 6:3) Consider the Lord’s loving admonition and invitation in Isaiah 1:19 TLB: “If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich!” Many don’t know this, and as a result, haven’t consciously given the Lord the chance to help them; no wonder they live in defeat, poverty, sickness, and penury. Let this loving admonition and invitation of the Father resonate in your heart today. The King James Version says, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” We already fulfilled the act of obedience when we made Jesus Lord of our lives. No wonder He calls us obedient children (1 Peter 1:14). Now, you’re to live in God’s Word; not to obey, but to do the Word. If you do the Word, you’ll eat the good of the land. The Bible says the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord (Psalm 33:5). Therefore, affirm that the lines are fallen unto you in pleasant places; you have a goodly h

YOU’RE AN OVERCOMER - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). You’re a victor in Christ Jesus; you were born that way. Refuse to allow the circumstances of life get you to think otherwise. You’re born of God, and have therefore overcome the world and its systems: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). Through faith you have overcome the world! What is faith? It’s the evidence of unseen realities. While others may not see you as an overcomer, you know you are, because you’re born of God; your evidence is the infallible Word of God. The Spirit of God also bears you witness that you’re an overcomer! Have, and live with this confidence. Anything that hails, proceeds or originates from God is an overcomer. The Word of God proceeds and originates from God, which means the Word is an overcomer. So, what are you suppos

LIVING IN HIS VICTORY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Nay, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that loved us (Romans 8:37). Notice the underlined statement in the opening text. It says, “…we are more than conquerors….” This suggests that the victory over the adversary is an old conclusion, and not only that, we’re already basking in the victory; it’s already a vital part of our existence. The reality is this: we’ve gone past the stage of celebrating our victory in Christ. We celebrated when we found out about His vicarious sacrifice on our behalf; now we’re living out that victory. “More than conquerors” means you’ve passed conquering; you’re now living in the victory; it has become your daily experience. Take for example, an athlete who competes in the Olympics, and wins the Gold Medal. At that instant, he joyously celebrates his victory with other well-wishers. When he receives the prize-money and starts spending or living off it, it’s no longer an expression of celebration; he’s now living in it. It’s bec

When we talk about worship, there’re those who don’t understand what it is. They wonder, “Who do you worship?” “Why do you worship?” “What are the benefits of worship?” Worship is the recognition and appreciation of the goodness, blessings, kindness and righteousness of God. It’s the recognition, appreciation or confession of His character. For example, when you give thanks to God and say, “Lord, you’re good; you’re kind; you’ve blessed me; you’re righteous,” etc., you’re defining, recognizing, and appreciating His character. God likes it when you worship Him like that because it shows who He is in your

Some Christians are agonized because their personal experiences don’t seem to be in sync with the realities and provisions of the Gospel, even though they “believe” the Word of God. That you believe the Word doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. Believing isn’t enough. It’s like having faith and not using it; it’s not going to work; you must use your faith for it to produce result. As the principle in our opening verse reveals, even though you’ve believed the Gospel and are made right with God, you may not enjoy the benefits of salvation and righteousness until you act on the underl

You’re a spirit being. When you were born again, you received the life and nature of God into your spirit; the forces of life are domiciled in your spirit. This is why you have to nurture and develop your spirit, because it’s through your spirit that you make contact with God. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep thy heart (spirit) with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” God’s light is in your spirit. He directs and guides you from your inner man. A literal interpretation of our opening verse would mean that the new creation is one who was called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, meaning he had a past of darkness. This, however, isn’t true, because the new creation never existed before, and therefore couldn’t have a past. He has a new life. The idea of the new creation having a past is mostly common amongst believers

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL HE’S THE SON OF GOD INDEED - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2017

Gracious Greetings Dearly Beloved of God! (John 14:8-9). There’re still many who don’t know who Jesus really is; to them, He’s a great religious leader. But Jesus isn’t a mere religious leader or reformist; He’s Himself God. You have to study the Word of God to discover this. In John 5:39, He said, ‘search the Scriptures, for they testify of me.’ The Scriptures testify of Jesus as Deity; He’s co-equal with God. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This is talking about Jesus; He’s the living and incarnate Word. A certain preacher told the story of a professor who came to his church on a Sunday morn

LET CHRIST BE MANIFESTED IN YOU – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The greatest thing that could ever happen to you isn’t only to have and know Jesus Christ, but to also have Him manifested in your life. If you’re sick in your body today, what you need is the manifestation of Christ in that part of your body. The Bible says, “... For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). When He’s manifested in your life, everything that’s not of God will give way. When Christ is manifested in the life of a sinner, the power of sin is broken, and righteousness takes effect. When He’s manifested in the life of one that’s bound, the chains are broken, and deliverance takes place. Christ is the answer. Christ is all you need. Christ is everything. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Let Him be manifested in you—spirit, soul, and body. Subject your

SEE WITH HIS LIGHT – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:13). Our opening text states your present position in the presence of God. You’re located there now. You’ve been translated from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. That’s where you live, and that’s the perspective from which you should see everything in life. You’re not weak or poor. You’re loaded and sufficient in all things; you have everything you’ll ever require for life and godliness. You’re a success and you’re moving from glory to glory. See the glory of God on your life, and refuse to see things from another perspective. The Bible says, “Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God” (Psalm 87:3). Live in the reality of who you are in Christ. God’s Word is light; use His light to see the glorious things that He’s spoken concerning you. When an X-ray is turned on you, it has no consideration for whatever is placed under it; i

SET YOUR FAITH ON COURSE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). God loves you and cares about you, regardless of the challenges and difficulties you may be facing right now. He always wants to see you win and live happy every day. Jesus said, “...In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Never allow anything get you frustrated; train your faith. Tell yourself, “Against hope, I believe in hope that all things are working together for my good” (Romans 8:28). The triumphant life is yours in Christ Jesus; refuse to settle for less. Things might not exactly be going as you’ve expected, but maintain your confession of the Word. Don’t accept defeat and don’t give in to sickness or anything that hurts. Don’t say, “I’ve been infected,” just because you noticed some symptoms in your body. Faith does

YOU’RE THE BLESSED OF THE LORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Notice the construction above; the Apostle Paul wasn’t praying or making entreaties or begging God for spiritual blessings, no! It’s an energetic outburst of luxuriant, profuse, and exuberant worship. He glorifies the Lord who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms. He had the mentality that he was already blessed with all spiritual blessings that exist, and became poetic in praise. This should be your testimony! Be full of praise to God because there’s nothing you don’t have, and there’s nothing you can’t do! You’ve been endowed spiritually with all things, and for all things. Why did Paul use the phrase “spiritual blessings?” It’s because if you have the spiritual blessings, then you have all earthly blessings, because the spiritual gives birth to the physical. The lesser is included in the greater. Thi

…THEY DON’T COUNT AT ALL - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

How terrible when all people speak well of you; their ancestors said the very same things about the false prophets (Luke 6:26 GNB) God desires that every one of us be successful. And depending on your level of success, you’ll automatically become a persona non-grata to some; you’ll attract adversaries. This isn’t out of place. Never be worried, downcast, feel rejected or sad if there’re those who are against you, or those who don’t accept or approve of your success. Actually, when you identify those who are against your success, you should be glad! The reason is that this world is so big, with a population in excess of seven billion people. Those who are against you left everything else just to be against you; that shows you’re very important. So, get excited when you’re criticized by your adversaries. There’s something inspiring in what T.L Osborn said several years ago; he said, “When you see a man with many or powerful or influential enemies, mark that man, for he’s going places

MAINTAIN YOUR CONFESSION OF THE WORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee (Isaiah 43:2). When you study God’s Word, the economic problems and upheavals in the world today wouldn’t be a surprise to you. The socio-economic conditions in our world today must not dictate the circumstances of our existence. They must not control our faith in the Word of God. The Bible says those who know their God shall be strong and shall do exploits (Daniel 11:32). As a child of God, the troubles in the world are not set against you. Your prosperity is independent of inflation, economic meltdowns and downturns. You’re not of this world. You’re the seed of Abraham. Refuse to fret or be anxious, for if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small (Proverbs 24:10). The Lord is your strength. Remain strong in Him and in the power of His might. Read

THOUGHTS OF POSSIBILITIES - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).  Imagine someone who’s been given up by doctors to die. If he hears and believes in the love of God, hope will be rekindled in him and he’ll immediately start seeing the possibility of a better life. The Bible says, “…hope maketh not ashamed…” (Romans 5:5); in other words, hope that’s anchored on God’s Word will never be dashed.  This is why we must keep preaching and teaching about the love of the Father, so the people of the world can hear and dare to believe, that hope may blossom in their hearts. As they continue to hear and meditate on the message of His love, their hope will translate to faith. No matter what despicable condition people might be in, if they can trust in God’s love for them, there’ll be a change.  Someone might say, “But I’ve been in this terrible condition for as long as I can remember; I’ve done everything I know, to no avail.” Well, first, that may be t

THINK…TALK…AND ACT THE WORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME .

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32). Being born again, you were born by the incorruptible Word of God. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). So, you ought to learn how to use the Word of God. Learn to think, talk, and act as though the Word of God is true, because it is. Jesus said, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). If you don’t think, talk and act as though the Word is true, what you’d have will be mere religion, and there’s no life in religion. The Bible says, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away... Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:5-7). You can bet your life on the Word; its integrity is unquestion
