PRAYER FINE-TUNES YOUR SPIRIT

“ The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly ” (Proverbs 20:27) God leads and guides you through your spirit, not through your mind, and that’s why the Bible calls your spirit ‘the candle of the Lord.’ Your spirit functions like an antenna, scanning the spirit realm to pick the signals of the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is always speaking, but sometimes you may not be alert spiritually as you should to hear what He is saying. This is why praying in tongues is so important: it makes your spirit more sensitive to God. Praying in tongues fine-tunes your spirit, much the same way you fine tune your television or radio set to get perfect signals. Spiritual signals are always being released from the realm of the Spirit, but your spiritual antenna has to be raised and tuned to receive those divine words of blessing, instruction, direction and counsel coming forth from the throne of heaven. When you’re in tune with the Spirit y...

NOT GUILTY!

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1) The Bible lets us know that Jesus wasn’t only delivered on account of your sins, He was also raised for your justification(Romans 4:25). To be justified means to be declared not guilty; that is, to be declared righteous. Thus, in the eyes of God, you never sinned. There’s a difference between justification and forgiveness. The Apostle Paul, in the opening verse, wasn't talking about forgiveness, or remission. He was talking about justification – to be declared not guilty. The Bible says God justifies the ungodly: “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5). You might be wondering, “How could that be?” Simple, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The new creation is a new being; a ...

BUILD ON A FIRM FOUNDATION

In architecture, the higher you want to build a house, the deeper the foundation has to be. The great buildings we see all over the world, were not built in a hurry or carelessly. The Lord Jesus highlights this same principle in Matthew 7:24-25, which states thus; “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which buildeth his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” The foundation of a man’s life, determines how successful he will be in life. This simple, yet powerful principle, underscores the importance of the right foundation for the structure you want to build. It is applicable to whatever you want to build in life; it may be your career, business, finances, family and relationships. The reason for the problem inherent in some people’s lives is the absence of a deep and firm foundation; and that is the...

BEWARE OF EARTHLY WISDOM.

There is a certain system the world operates. And Apostle Paul calls it: ‘the wisdom of this world’. I am making reference to that system of the world headed by Satan. Concerning this wisdom, the Bible says, “This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish” (James 3:15). The wisdom of this world is foolishness unto God. The danger is that the wisdom of this world usually presents to you nice-sounding, common sense, savvy principles which appear very appealing to the senses. They sound like good advice, but as far as God is concerned they are foolishness. For example, the wisdom of the world says “the flu is in town so be careful when you are around sick people, so you don’t get infected” but the wisdom of God says they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:18). As a Child of God, you have to be careful not to get carried away with the wisdom of this world. The Bible tells you to guard your heart diligently (Proverbs 4:23). Don’t al...

YOU’RE THE CROWN OF ALL GOD’S CREATURES

The Bible teaches, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God gave us His best, because we’re His best. The value of something can only be determined by what was paid for it; God saved us with the precious blood of Christ: “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:18-19). This scripture is a testimony of our value to God. James 1:18 says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” God did this on His own accord; by His choice He made us the first and best! The Message Translation puts it this way, “He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatu...

RECOGNIZE YOUR INHERITANCE TODAY!

The identity crisis is probably the greatest problem in the world today. It is the root of all wars, genocides, civil unrest and racial discrimination. Sadly many of God’s children are caught in the web of this crisis; they still don’t understand who they are in Christ, and until we are fully acquainted with our true personality in Christ, we can’t effectively impact our generation. We need to take out more time to study and meditate on God’s Word until its truths completely soak into our Spirits. Never base your understanding of the scriptures on another man’s assumptions; find out the truth by yourself from the Word. As you do, the Lord will impart wonderful revelations to your spirit, and you will better understand who you are in Him. According to the Scriptures, we have become sharers of God’s nature through the Word of God. This is not futuristic; it is in the ‘now.’ It is something that has already taken place. This is the greatest revelation the Church will ever have i...

THINK FRESH;THINK SUCCESS!

Part of the reason young people can be very successful, where older people fail, is that many young people don't know enough to be afraid. Most older people know too much; they have too much information about what doesn't work. They remember when they tried something and it failed, and so they become cynical. It's a lot harder to inspire such people to make a fresh move or have a fresh start. Understand that being old in this context isn't so much about a person's age, but about the state of his mind. Your body might age, but refuse to age in your mind. Think fresh; think success. God loves to use young people, because they think fresh all the time; they easily believe, and are always passionate about learning something new What will you be like when you're ninety-two? I can tell, if you put this message to work: You won't be crying that nothing works. Instead, you'll be the one teaching and imparting faith to the younger generation. You'll be ...

MINISTER TO THE LORD

“Now there were in the church at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; …as they ministered to the lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said…” (Acts 13:1-2) It’s vital to learn how to minister to the Lord, and more importantly, to know when to pray the prayer of worship. The opening scripture says ’’…as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said…’’; letting us know that the power of God’s Spirit is manifested as we minister to the Lord, in an atmosphere of true worship. To minister to Lord is to pray and worship according to His Word and to make confessions to His Name. Confession comes from the Greek word ‘Homologia’ which means speaking the same thing in consent or consonance with God; to say what God has said in agreement with Him. So in ministering to the Lord you say beautiful things about Him and revere His awesome majesty in line with the revelation of His personality in the Word. Ministering to the Lord is a very important aspect of our Christian service. ...

OUR EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH THE FATHER

“…men ought always to pray, and not to faint” Luke 18:1 Communication is probably one of the most important activities in life, and communication between man and God is established through prayer. Man is a spirit and his needs are essentially spiritual. This is why he always craves for that spiritual contact with God, who is described in Hebrews 12:9 as “the Father of spirits.” What a blessing to know that you can communicate directly with your heavenly Father; that you can have His hundred percent attention through prayer: “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” (1 Peter 3:12). This is one reason you ought to always be excited to pray. Some people only pray when they need something. That’s wrong! The time of prayer isn't just a time to ask God for things; it’s a time to commune and fellowship with Him. That’s the time to hear what He has to say and receive direction ...

TRAIN YOURSELF TO RECOGNIZE GOD’S VOICE

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27) There’re those who don’t believe God still talks to people today like He did in Bible days. So when they hear someone say, “God talked to me,” it beats their imagination. Well, the truth is God loves to talk to His children. He’s a master communicator who thinks you’re important enough for Him to talk to. If you've never heard Him, maybe you've not been listening. It’s also possible that God could have been talking to you and you didn't know it was Him. Remember the story of the little boy, Samuel. God called him three times, but he thought it was Eli the priest (1 Samuel 3:3-10). Why? Because, a lot of times when God talks, He uses a familiar voice. God still talks to us today; in fact, He does every day! He can talk to you in a familiar voice, and in a language you understand. Start training yourself to recognize His voice. The more you study and familiarize yourself with God’s Word, the ea...

PRAY FOR NIGERIA

It's October 1st, and today, Nigeria marks her 55th Celebration of Independence. Congratulations to all our partners and brethren in Nigeria who are commemorating this event by distributing 30 million copies of our daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities. Take time out to pray for Nigeria today. God bless you.

YOUR RIGHTS IN CHRIST

The Christian life is not an ordinary life. It is a supernatural life for supernatural men. As Christians, we must live with the consciousness of who we are in Christ. You have to leave the realm of the ordinary and come to the realm of the supernatural where you take control of the affairs of your life. We are citizens of Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem; this is the city of the living God. As a citizen of this city you have undeniable rights; the right to live, the right to choose and the right to receive God’s blessings in Christ. It’s also important that I remind you that we have an adversary (the devil) whose mandate is to stop you from enjoying and exercising your God-given rights in Christ Jesus. If you don’t know your rights in Christ, you’ll be at his mercy, and that’s a dangerous way for you to live as a Christian. Start today by digging into God’s Word and searching the Scriptures for yourself. Discover your rights and privileges in Christ- what He has said you can do and ...

ALL THINGS ARE YOURS!

“Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ’s and Christ is God’s” (1 Corinthians 3:21-23) God didn't create you to suffer a nd struggle through life, but it’s sad that some have settled for the lesser things in life because they've ignored God’s Word. God’s Word, apart from showing you His will for your life, also reveals your inheritance in Christ. 2 Corinthians 8:9 declares, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Jesus became poor, that we might become rich. So all you've got to do, to enjoy the life of prosperity He’s brought you into, is to live in His Word! In Isaiah 1:19, (TLB) says: “if you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, I will make you rich.” Your submission to God’s Wor...

CONFESSION FOR YOU

I'm energized for victory and positioned for the transcendent life by the Spirit of God who lives in me! By Him, I labor, striving according to the working of His power that works within me mightily. I'm excelling in every area of my life, because the competence and excellence by which I function is by the Spirit. Hallelujah!.

PRAYER AT 12 NOON AND 10 PM (LOCAL/GMT) - WED SEPT 30TH 2015

Luke 1:46 - 50: "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation". At 12 noon (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in the spirit, bringing to remembrance all the great things that the Lord has done for us this month of September; glorifying Him for his faithfulness, love and mercy. Recognize His mighty hand at work in your behalf and testify before Him, of His glorious and marvelous works, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. Declare also that you walk continually in His perfect will and worthy of His calling, pleasing Him in all things, and bringing glory and honor to Him always. At 10 pm, we'll pray for all 15 mins in tongues, glorifying the Lord...

THE NEW CREATION REALITY

It is amazing that even today a lot of Christians don’t understand what Christianity really is. Some think to be born again means to change your ways. Others think being born again is making good New Year resolutions.  Irrespective of what you may think, the Word of God still remains the same on the topic. There is a difference between the ‘you’ before and the ‘you’ after you receive Christ.  The person before had the nature of the devil, therefore he sinned at will. But that person is dead! Right now you are a brand new person. The new creation has no past. When you know who you really are in Christ, such statements as, “when I used to do this or that…” or “when I was…” will completely leave your vocabulary because it was never you. The new creation is like a new baby; he has no past, because old things are passed away, and all things have become new. As far as God is concerned, you never existed before; your past has been buried in the grave from which Jesus arose victo...

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - MON SEPT 28TH 2015

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 says "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain". The Bible also says in 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be  ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord". Today at 12 noon and 10 pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in other tongues for most of 15mins, meditating on these scriptures above. Pray specially for members of your local Church and also for other saints around the world, that they hold firmly to the Word of God which they have received, that they continually experience victory through the Word in all areas of life, their testimonies being a witness to the reality of Christ and His Kingdom; Pray that they stand firm in the faith, giv...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY, 28TH SEPTEMBER : INVEST YOUR TIME IN SPIRITUAL THINGS.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-16). Time is an asset, which you must learn to invest wisely. Investing your time wisely means investing your time in spiritual things. Moses had this on his mind when he prayed to the Lord to "...Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). Each day you live is an opportunity to accomplish so much, but the question is: How well do you schedule your day? When you wake up in the morning, don't just roll off your bed and stumble blindly into the day. Spend quality time first to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in prayer and in the Word. Ask Him to guide you as you schedule your activities for the day and prioritize your daily activities. Ask Him to help you save time, and you'd discover how much you're able to accomplish for the Kingdom on a daily basis. Then, you'll become more productive, eff...

THE WORD: YOUR EVIDENCE!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). The Scripture above is the best definition of faith you can get. Faith is the substance of your hope; it’s the tangible expression of your hope. The Bible tells us of Abraham, who ’’being not weak in faith, considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God’’ (Romans 4:19-20). Abraham tangibly expressed his hope by giving praise to God; he didn’t allow his physical condition to discourage him. If there’s no substance or tangible expression to your hope, then there is no faith. Faith is the evidence–the title deed–of things not seen. A title deed is a legal document proving your right to a property; it maybe a piece of land or a house. This document authenticates your claim to the property. In the same way, the...

PRAYER FOR YOU

I thank You dear Lord for bringing me out of darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son, where I reign by grace through righteousness, and enjoy the glorious liberty of the sons of God. You're the light of my life, by which I navigate my way excellently through life in victory, health, dominion, and success, in Jesus name. Amen

‘JESUS’ THE NAME YOU CAN TRUST

“The mere sound of his name will signal hope, even among far off unbelievers” (Matthew 12:21 MSG) In today’s world, people would judge the quality of a product and use it based on the strength of its brand name. Our God has his own “brand name” as it were. It’s the Name of Jesus! The Name of Jesus has been given to us (Acts 4:12). Therefore learning to live in and function by the power of that Name is what guarantees the upward and forward life. Philippians 2:10 describes for us the efficacy of the power in the Name of Jesus. The Bible also chronicles testimonies of healings and miracles done through the apostles, as they exercised the power of attorney to use the name of Jesus. “There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirit: and they were healed every one” (Acts 5:16). Other names may have their limitations, weaknesses and restraints, but Jesus, “being made so much better than t...

HEAL THE SICK

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick” (Luke 9:1-2). God has given us the authority in the Name of Jesus to issue decrees with daring audacity and have them established. That’s why we can speak and act in boldness because of who we are in Christ. For example, when you study the Scriptures, you’d realize that God never asked us to pray to Him to heal the sick; rather, He says we should to heal the sick. In Matthew 10:8, Luke 9:2, Luke 10:9, Jesus charged the disciples to heal the sick; He didn't ask them to pray to Him or to the Father to heal the sick. In Mark 16:17-18 He said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and the...

GROW UNTO MATURITY

“And if ye be Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). As one who is born again, you’re Abraham’s seed, and therefore, all of God’s blessings belong to you (Galatians 3:29). But to effectively appropriate these blessings to your life, your words must align with the Word of God, and the realities of the new creation. For example, when a Christian says “O Lord, heal me; I just caught the flu and I am so sick”; you can immediately locate him as a babe in the things of the Spirit. The spiritually mature would rather speak the wisdom of God. Rather than talk sickness, he’d speak health and life. He’d say “The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me therefore I cannot be sick; I’m vitalized by the power of God – spirit, soul and body!” There’s a clear difference. The babe in Christ seeks to be healed; but the spiritually mature knows he cannot be sick, because he is the righteousness of God in Christ and therefore s...

MAKE TODAY COUNT!

“For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee; behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Regrets of yesterday and fears of tomorrow are enemies of today’s happiness. It doesn't matter that yesterday’s assessments of you weren't favorable; that was yesterday, and it’s gone. God doesn't live in your yesterday; His Name is “I AM,” not “I WAS.” Now, focus your attention on God’s Word to you now. A life of faith is not about yesterday or tomorrow; it’s about now! Meditate on God’s truth about your personality and identity in Christ, and not on the failures of the past or the fears of tomorrow. Today counts; so make a move to be your best today. Tomorrow only belongs to those who take a hold of today, because, today is the springboard for tomorrow. Make the best of your today!

TRIUMPH IN HIS AUTHORITY

“ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19) When were born again, you were born into a life of greatness and royalty – you were born to reign. Revelation 5:10 says, Christ Jesus has, “…made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” This clearly shows us that we were raised to reign in Christ Jesus; we’re kings and priests; we’re men and women of honor and authority. In Mark 6:7, the Bible says “And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits.” The Greek word for “power” here is “exousia” and it means “authority”. Jesus has given us authority over unclean spirits; we live in His victory and triumph over them: “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15). Hallelujah! So every Christian has ...
