Read Your Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional Your Words Rule Your Life - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome . Saturday 22nd October 2016.

Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth (Proverbs 6:2). There is a spiritual language for the Christian. That’s why, as a child of God, you ought to practice speaking the Word only, and always, because the supernatural life is based on your tongue. Your tongue rules your life. The Apostle James likened the tongue to the rudder of a great ship, which the captain uses to direct the ship wherever he wants (James 3:4-5). In Matthew 12:36-37, Jesus said “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Literally, this means a man will go to heaven or hell because of his tongue-work; what he said or didn’t say. The Apostle Paul’s words on salvation in Romans 10:8-10 buttresses this: “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath ra

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL GIVE HONOR TO WHOM IT IS DUE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2016.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth (Ephesians 6:1-3). Primarily, honor means to show respect towards another. It means to give recognition to; to esteem. It also means to give preference. Our opening verse admonishes children to honor their parents. When you honor your parents, God says you’ll have a long and happy life. That means God’s going to specially preserve you in the earth, and see to it that you have a prosperous and glorious life. There’re lots of people who’re looking for jobs, and not getting any, neither do they have the right ideas to start up their own business; things aren’t well with them. It’s possible they haven’t been honoring their parents or those whom God has placed over them. You’re indebted to your parents and those who nurtured and brought you up in life. You owe them; and it’s a debt

How then shall they call on him  in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"  In both 15mins sessions at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in the spirit worshiping the Lord for His abundant grace and love lavished on us in Christ, thanking Him for all our evangelical efforts around the world. Thank Him for the souls won to Christ, praying for them, that they might be strengthened, retained and nurtured in the church

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL GOD IS LOVE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, 19TH OCTOBER 2016

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (1 John 4:7-8). Love is the totality of God’s nature. This is beyond someone having love in his heart or the ability to love; it means that He’s love personified. God is love! And because He’s love, He doesn’t have the capacity to hate; it’s not possible for God to hate. Hate is of the darkness. God is light, and in Him, there’s no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Someone may reference Romans 9:13 and ask, But didn’t God say, “...Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated?” (Read Malachi 1:2-3). This is where understanding the place of poetry and prophecy, and the dichotomy of expression in the Scriptures come in. The language of the Proph

THE NEW CREATION REALITY

It is amazing that even today a lot of Christians don’t understand what Christianity really is. Some think to be born again means to change your ways. Others think being born again is making good New Year resolutions. Irrespective of what you may think, the Word of God still remains the same on the topic. There is a difference between the ‘you’ before and the ‘you’ after you receive Christ. The person before had the nature of the devil, therefore he sinned at will. But that person is dead! Right now you are a brand new person. The new creation has no past. When you know who you really are in Christ, such statements as, “when I used to do this or that…” or “when I was…” will completely leave your vocabulary because it was never you. The new creation is like a new baby; he has no past, because old things are passed away, and all things have become new. As far as God is concerned, you never existed before; your past has been buried in the grave from which Jesus arose victorious. Isn'

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TRAIN YOURSELF TO LOVE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY, 18TH OCTOBER 2016

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10). Everyone deserves and qualifies to be loved, including those you may perceive to be “your enemies.” Jesus said, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). You don’t only love those who love you; you love everyone with the unconditional love of Christ. All people are the same when it comes to love. Everyone has the capacity to give and receive love. Everyone wants to be loved, though not everyone wants to give it or respond to it. Love is the greatest power in the universe. It goes beyond cultural divides, religious barriers, ethnic differences, and social  stratification . Train yourself to walk in love. It’s a conscious choice you have to make; it’ll transform your life. In John 13:34, Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love on

We'll also pray specially for fellow Christians and missionaries around the world who are being persecuted for the sake of the Gospel; that they be strengthened with might by God's Spirit in their inner man, and overcoming all opposition and adversity through faith; that they be delivered from wicked and unreasonable men and preserved by the Spirit, the Lord working in and through them to turn many unto righteousness to the glory of His Name. READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL BE CONSCIOUS OF THE POWER THAT WORKS IN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, 17TH OCTOBER 2016

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21). 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” The Holy Spirit is the power of the Godhead and He lives in you in His fullness: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...” (Acts 1:8). His power is working in your spirit. Our theme verse says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us....” What an inspiring thought! Notice that it didn’t say, according to the power that worketh in heaven.” This explains that you have a role in the operations of the miraculous and supernatural in your life. The glory of God is manifested in your life accordi
