Prayer at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT) - Fri Oct 7th 2016

Prayer is much more than asking God for things; it has higher purposes. Find out more in today's Rhapsody or download your October edition from http://rhapsodyofrealities.org or through the Rhapsody of Realities app. At 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray in the spirit for all 15mins, fellowshiping with the Father through the Holy Spirit, praising Him exuberantly, expressing our love and dedication to Him; acknowledging the wonderful things He's done for you and in you, giving Him praise, for He is great and greatly to be praised. In Him, we have no reason to fear or worry; therefore, minister to Him with your whole heart. As you do, He'll cause His grace and glory to be manifested in a greater way in and through you. Hallelujah! God bless you .

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THERE’RE HIGHER PURPOSES OF PRAYER - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2016.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). Our theme verse is quite profound. The Amplified translation makes it clearer; it says, “Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty….” Prayer is very important. Oftentimes, when we talk about prayer, what comes to people’s mind is asking God for things, making entreaties and requests; that’s all they’ve known about prayer. Yes, such a prayer has its place, where you make requests, but prayer has higher purposes than asking God for your needs. Praying for material needs, that is, asking God for something for yourself is actually the lowest kind of prayer. When you pray like that, you’re praying at the babyhood stage; it’s the prayer of spiritual babies. Someone could pray, “Oh God, I need a job,” or “Lord, I need some money,” or “Dear Father, give me a car, a w...

DON’T STOP PRAISING HIM!

“ Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places ” (Habakkuk 3:17-19) Sometimes, some Christians easily give up and succumb to the challenges that life throws at them. This is because they are yet to understand that if you’re a child of God, you aren’t a victim! Paul and Silas set a good example; things couldn’t have looked more hopeless for them, as they were bound in chains in the dark dungeon of that maximum security Roman prison. But instead of cringing in fear and hopelessness, they decided to praise God, and this resulted in their remarkable deliverance from that situation (Acts 16:23–36). This should b...

ANOINTED FOR THE MIRACULOUS

“ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him ” (Acts 10:38) Jesus’ ministry began in full when He received the Holy Ghost. Prior to His baptism at the Jordan, there was no record of Him performing any miracles. It was after He received the Holy Spirit that He went about doing good, healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). The Holy Spirit enables us for the miraculous; Jesus Himself testified that “ the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works ” (John 14:10); He was referring to the Holy Spirit in Him. It was the Holy Spirit who brought all the power into Jesus’ life. Now, for us who are born again, we’ve been anointed with the same Holy Spirit for good works. Romans 8:11 lets us know that the same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in us today; He vitalizes, enables and energizes us for good works. This is why in Ma...

GRACED FOR INCREASE AND EXPANSION

“ Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited ” (Isaiah 54:2-3). Being born again, there’s an anointing in you for increase and expansion. You received that anointing when the Holy Spirit came to live in you.  That anointing causes everything you do to grow and expand, and makes your experience in life characterized by constant increase and expansion in an extraordinary way. That anointing makes everything you do multiply far above what you could ask, think, or imagine. God’s desire is that you recognize this anointing and let it function in you and through you. Philemon 1:6 says, “ That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus .” The anointing...

BE A FERVENT SOUL WINNER!

“ And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature ” (Mark 16:15). As a child of God one of topmost priorities should be to lead those in your world who have not yet known the Lord into salvation. This is something you must take very seriously, because it’s an assignment committed to us by the Lord Himself. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation .” God did not only call you into the fellowship of His Son Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:9), He’s also called you to partner with Him in soul winning. In Romans 12:11 we’re admonished not to be slothful in business, but to be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. It’s talking about being fervent in God’s number one business, which soul winning. People are God’s greatest assets on earth. Until you start winning people for Jesus, you’re not involved in God’s ass...

STEER YOUR LIFE IN GOD’S DESTINY FOR YOU

“ Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! ” (James 3:4-5) A rudder is a small piece of wood or metal used by the captain of a ship to set it on course to his desired direction. The Apostle James in our opening scripture likened the tongue to the rudder of a great ship. Though so little, the tongue can accomplish anything–good or bad:  “ Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof ”   (Proverbs 18:21). The life you have today is as a result of your tongue-work; that is, everything you’ve been saying. Your words direct the course of your destiny, positively or otherwise. This is the reason you shouldn’t talk poverty, defeat, sickness or death; rather, talk prosperity, victory...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PRAISE HIM - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME THURSDAY 6TH OF OCTOBER 2016

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them (Acts 16:25). Something remarkable about the way Paul and Silas praised the Lord in Acts 16 was that they were exuberant in their praise and worship of the Lord. It was supposed to be for them a moment of gloom, loneliness and despondency, but rather than be overwhelmed with despair, they sang praises unto God. They didn’t just mutter songs quietly, fearful of the prison guards, they sang as loud as they could such that the prisoners heard them. This is one of the faith-ways to respond in the face of contrary situations; you praise and worship the Lord exuberantly, knowing that in Him you’re more than a conqueror. If it seems as though you’re in the “darkest hour” of your life, don’t despair! Don’t try to remind God of the problem, no; praise Him! You might say, “But if I don’t tell Him my problems, He won’t know what’s on my mind”; you’re wrong. He knows everything, because He’s God. Tak...

EDUCATE YOUR SPIRIT

Your physical body is not the real you, it’s your house. When God looks you He sees your spirit. He's the Father of spirits. You relate with Him from your spirit and it's your spirit that's born again. God gave us the life of the Spirit. The divine life is not subject to our flesh. You’ve got your two optical eyes in your body but your spirit also has two eyes which are the eyes of your spirit. Your spirit has the shape of your physical body Yes it does. So what changes it? Can there be a change you may ask, yes! Emphatically Yes! Your spirit begins to change based on what you see as you start building your spiritual life. God's Word gives you a mirror with which you can look at yourself. If you can catch the picture and desire to see a change, have a desire to become what you see, then you must proclaim and be the change you want to see. For example a crippled man that just got born again has a crippled spirit, then he begins to see himself from the Word of God and s...

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: -- He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform". READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THERE’S MUCH MORE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, 5TH OCTOBER 2016

And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers (Deuteronomy 6:23). The construction in our opening verse is about one word—“purpose.” The reason for bringing them out was so He could bring them in! This is how He wants us to approach our salvation in Christ Jesus; He saved us (brought us out of sin), that He might bring us into our inheritance in Him; our place in Him. This mentality will make a huge difference in your life; it’ll completely change your destiny, and make it one of greatness only. He didn’t just save us; He did it for a reason. The real message of Christianity isn’t just about the “savior”—Jesus. Yes, He’s the Savior, but He did much more than “saving us.” If “saving us” was all He came to do, that wouldn’t be Christianity. Being saved was a means to an end. Now that you’re saved, welcome to a new world, but it’s much more than that. He saved us so He could bring us into oneness with Himself; ou...

That grace is what covers you and protects you in the things that God has called you to do." Be inspired as you watch the video above, and remember to share with your friends and family. LIVE A LIFE OF GRACE

“ For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ ” (Romans 5:17) The word receive in the verse above is translated from the Greek word, “lambano,” which means to “take” or “catch” something as yours; to get hold of something; to seize it and make it yours.  Abundance of grace, on the other hand, means overflowing grace; unlimited overflowing grace. This means it’s up to you to take as much grace as you want. This is what the Apostle Paul meant when he told Timothy “… Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus ” (2 Timothy 2:1). That means take advantage of the grace. Don’t take a little of it; ‘lambano’ as much as you require. Receive grace for your reign in life. To reign is to exercise control, influence and authority. It means to rule and be in charge; in essence, live as a king. This overflowing grace only works for those who receive it. It’s...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4TH 2016

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). When God looks at you, He sees that whatever might have been wrong in your life before you were born again is now passed away. You may not “feel” or think so, but that doesn’t negate His truth. Besides, that’s the reason He told you, because you couldn’t know any other way, except through the Word. So now, you’re to act on His Word. If it’s true that old things are passed away, then it means you can’t have “inherited curses” or an inherited sickness or disease. There couldn’t be such a thing as a generational curse, because you’re a brand new species—one that never existed before. What if you were born with leukaemia or a heart condition? Well, old things are passed away, and all things are now new. The eighteenth verse explains that all the new things are of God. Leukaemia isn’t of God! Heart condition isn’t of God! Therefore, you say, “...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. TRUST HIM FOR A MIRACLE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME D.SC, DD MONDAY 3RD OF OCTOBER 2016.

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? (Hebrews 2:4) The New Testament gives numerous accounts of the miracles Jesus did during His earthly ministry. John 2:23 tells us that many believed in Him when they saw the miracles He did. But there were also many in His day who didn’t believe in Him despite the miracles. It’s the same thing today; there’re some who say that miracles don’t exist; but theirs is a twisted opinion. Some of us have lived in and experienced, the miraculous; we see, breathe, and experience miracles all the time. The very idea of the existence of a God is to believe in the supernatural. If you don’t believe in miracles, then you don’t believe in God! A miracle is God’s supernatural intervention in the affairs of men. God is a Spirit, and He lives in the realm of the spirit. When you pray to Him, a God that you can’t see with your physical eyes, and He answers you f...

WELCOME TO OCTOBER - THE MONTH OF INCREASED GRACE

Ephesians 4:7 "But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ." 1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." There's a difference between the two scriptures above; apart from the fact that God gives us general grace, He also gives special and personal grace to each one of us according to the ministry He's called us into. Romans 12:3,6-8 "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.  12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 12: 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our m...
