RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. BLESS THE WORLD WITH YOUR GREATNESS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SUNDAY, MARCH 27TH, 2016.

GOD said to Joshua, This very day I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all Israel... (Joshua 3:7 MSG). There're different kinds of greatness. And those whom the Scriptures describe as great are marked by certain traits and qualities, such as the demonstration of supernatural power, signs, wonders and ability, supernatural wisdom, or enormous wealth. Take Moses for example; his life was characterized by different signs and wonders. Deuteronomy 34:10-12 tells us, "And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel." Isaac, the Bible shows us, was wealthy. In spite of the famine and drought in the land, the Word tells us: "...the man waxed great, and went forward, and ...

UNLIMITED ACCESS TO THE FATHER

“ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh ” (Hebrews 10:19-20) In the Old Testament, no one could enter “the Holy Place” except the high priest, and he could only do so once a year and not without the blood of atonement. But today, as God’s children, we live in “the Holy Place” because we live in God’s presence. Now you don’t need to rely solely on the prayers of others for you, or for any man to go into the presence of God on your behalf. The moment you were born again, you were catapulted into the very presence of God; you can make requests directly to the Father, as you have unlimited access to Him. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” With a right of hearing before the Father, you can talk to Him and fellowship with Him direc...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL GET THE WORD…GET WISDOM - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SATURDAY, MARCH 26TH, 2016

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness (1 Corinthians 3:19). If you’re going to live a victorious, prosperous and glorious life, you have to know, understand and live by the Word. The Lord Jesus once made a remarkable statement to the Jews, saying, “…Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God” (Matthew 22:29). Many miss it, and function outside of the wisdom of God because they’re ignorant of God’s Word. That’s why the accurate teaching of the Word is so important. God’s Word empowers and propels you to live the transcendent life. The Word of God is the wisdom of God. It doesn’t matter what you’ve experienced in life, who your advisers are, how many books you might have read, or what you’ve seen in life, if you don’t have the Word in you, you don’t have the wisdom of God, and therefore can’t excel. The wisdom of men may take you some distance, but only the wisdom of God will take you all...

THE DEPTH OF THE FATHER’S LOVE

God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life… (John 3:16 CEV). John 3:16 is probably the most popular verse in the Bible, but many haven’t understood the revelations that lie therein. What world did God love? Was it the hills and the mountains? Was it the vegetation and the rivers? It was none of these. He loved the world of human beings, as sinful and wicked as they were! Doesn’t it amaze you that even when Adam sinned back in the garden, it was still God who came looking for him? (Genesis 3) Adam was hiding from God, because he had sinned, yet God still covered his nakedness with animal skin, showing that He loved him. The Bible says “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). So, clearly God demonstrated His great and boundless love for us, while we were yet in sin. You may be reading this today and per...

DEAD TO SIN

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin,   live any longer therein?”   (Romans 6:1-2) As one who is born again, you no longer have a problem with sin. This is because according to the Bible the old nature of sin has been replaced with a nature of righteousness. Christians who still struggle with sin do so as a result of an identity crisis; they are yet to understand from the God’s Word, who they really are. The new creation in Christ is dead to sin (Romans 6:2). Being dead to sin simply means, sin has no power over you. Romans 6:14 says, “ For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace .” Your understanding of the righteousness of God liberates you from sin consciousness. The Lord Jesus has given us victory over sin, death and the grave! If you ever find you did something wrong, don’t cry, or feel condemned. Rather get on your knees before God; ask H...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL VICTORY AND DOMINION IN CHRIST JESUS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Friday, March 25th 2016

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children (Hosea 4:6). God said through the Prophet Hosea that His people are destroyed, defeated and broken because they lack knowledge. Meaning that, their bane isn’t that they lack faith or aren’t making the right effort; the reason they‘re not walking in victory and dominion is their ignorance. This, therefore, means that as God’s children, we must keep making conscious efforts to learn and be taught God’s Word. If you have more accurate knowledge of the Word, you’ll live in victory and dominion every day of your life, irrespective of any adversity. Some people think that living in constant victory and dominion isn’t possible, and they’re wrong. To hold such a belief is to ignore what Jesus came to do. He came to give us the life and nature of God: the transcenden...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. SET YOUR FOCUS ON ETERNITY- PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME THURSDAY, MARCH 24TH, 2016.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable (1 Corinthians 15:19). God always connects everything He does with eternity, because He thinks in terms of eternity. He’s the eternal God, and always, He deals with things that last forever. In Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV), the Bible says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men….” He brought eternity to men so they can see beyond this world. Sadly, some Christians don’t realize this; hence their business, family plans, interests and relationships aren’t connected to eternity. Everything God is interested in, and all that He does, is connected to eternity. So, set your focus on eternity. Set your mind on God’s purpose for your life. That’s what counts! It has to be a revelation that you accept, endorse and imbibe into your spirit; a knowledge that’s a controlling principle in your life. That means everywhere you go, and everything you do, you’re inspired ...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. A GLORIOUS DESTINY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23RD, 2016.

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:4-6 NKJV). Our opening scripture reveals something profound about our destiny in God. Read the fifth and sixth verses again, this time, from the Amplified translation: “For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]-- [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” It’s our destiny to live to the praise of God’s grace; He chose and destined us for the glorious and transcendent lif...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. YOU'RE THE FATHER'S PRIORITY- PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY,MARCH 22ND,2016.

You’re the father’s Priority Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (1 Peter 5:7). As Christians, our connection to our heavenly Father is absolute; it’s not something that changes. We’re connected to Him by spiritual birth. So, whatever is important to you is important to Him. He cares about you affectionately; you’re the Father’s priority. Think about this: an earthly parent can go to any length to ensure his children have a good life. He ensures his children are protected, and that their feeding, shelter, clothing, are all well taken care of. Some even go as far as taking care of their children’s friends. They just love and care for another child, simply because that other child is friends with their own child. Now, if earthly parents can care that much for their children, what do you think of your heavenly Father? God loves you more than you love yourself. He loves you as much as He loves Jesus. He’s more ambitious about your success than you are for yoursel...

@PastorChrisLive PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - MON MARCH 21ST, 2016.

The most important thing in your life is your words. Words are spiritual elements. Your words will decide the quality of your life on earth, your relationship with God, with human beings, and where you go eternally: heaven or hell. Read more in today's rhapsody or download from http://rhapsodyofrealities.org 1 Corinthians 2:12 tells us: "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spi ritual things with spiritual". In both 15min sessions at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in the spirit, meditating on these scriptures, and speaking forth blessed words, consistent with God's thoughts and perfect will for us, appropriating to ourselves that which is freely given to us in Christ: wisdom, health, strength, wealth, fav...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. WORDS ARE SPIRITUAL ELEMENTS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, MARCH 21ST, 2016.

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire… (James 3:5-6). There’s something inside your mouth that’s so powerful; it’s your tongue. It’s given to you by God to form words; words with which to control, create or recreate the circumstances of your life. James 3:6 says the tongue is a fire; the power for any change that you desire is in your tongue. Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). If you speak confusing words, the result is that your life will be confusing, because you’re giving confusing signals. Words are spiritual elements. They don’t die. That’s why Jesus said, “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment” (Matthew 12:36). One day, all your words will be shown to you by God, as to what they built, what they created, the image of your life and the circumstances of your life created by yo...

BORN A SUPER BEING

“ These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God ”   1 John 5:13 As a born again child of God, the Father wants you to know that the life in you now is not the natural human life you got from your human parents when you were born into the world. That human life was supplanted by divine life when you were born again. So you’re not just a mere human but a super-being indeed; born into God’s class. 1 John 5:13 shows you the importance God attaches to you knowing the life in you. He wants you to know (comprehend; come to the awareness and full perception) of what you have, and who you are: “… that ye may know that ye have eternal life .” He wants you conscious of the fact that you’re a super-being; one that’s superior to Satan, sickness and disease, and has authority over the powers of darkness. God wants you to have this knowledge about yourself be...

ETERNAL LIFE

“ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son “ ( 1 John 5:11). Eternal life is not a promise from God that we look forward to Him fulfilling in our lives when we get to heaven. It’s His gift to us NOW:  “… the gift of God is eternal life ”   (Romans 6:23). Eternal life has been freely given to everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ:  “ For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life ”   (John 3:16). This is worth celebrating: that God has given to us eternal life, a life greater than sickness, disease, failure and death; a life that makes us superior to Satan. That life is what Jesus brought to the world. When the angels rejoiced and heralded the birth of the savior, they were celebrating and publicizing the glorious news that humanity can now receive the divine life, and live as champions on earth. Jesus came tha...

BOUGHT WITH A PRICE

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20) The salvation we have in Christ was purchased for us with His own blood. Jesus saved you by giving His life for you. He paid a huge price by giving Himself in our place so we could go free. You therefore can’t afford to live life the way you choose anymore, for a price has been paid; you’ve been bought. Now you belong to Him and not yourself. Many years ago, a Chinese brother was traveling on the same train with three gentlemen who wanted to play a game. They required a fourth person to play with them, so they asked him to join in. “I’m sorry,” he replied. “I didn’t come with my hands.” The men stared at him in astonishment because to them, he seemed complete, yet, he said he didn’t come with his hands. “What about these ones?” they asked. Then he replied, “They’re not mine; they belong to Jesus because He bought me with a price. Now I only use them for ...

THE GOD LIFE

“ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son ” (1 John 5:11) The Greek word for “life” in our opening verse is ZoĆ«; it means the God-life, or the God-kind of life! This is the essence of divinity, the very life of God. The same meaning of the word “life” is also conveyed by Jesus in John 5:26: “ For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself ” and John 3:16: “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life . ” Thus, “everlasting life” or “eternal life” doesn’t refer to life that goes on endlessly; it means the life of God; the essence and quality of divinity! If you’re a Christian you have received this eternal life, and this means that your human life was supplanted with the life and nature of God the very minute your received Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. God ...

ONENESS WITH JESUS CHRIST

“ Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life ” Romans 6:3-4 One of the glorious truths of our Christian life is that we’ve been called into an inseparable oneness with the Lord; we were baptized into Jesus Christ, and are now members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. In this inextricable union with Christ, God no longer distinguishes you from Him. No wonder Jesus said, “… I am the vine, ye are the branches …”  (John 15:5) . He was pointing out that we now share the same life with Him, because life comes through the vine, into the branches.  Another beautiful part of our oneness with Jesus Christ is that it didn’t end with our baptism into His death, but continues in a newness of life by His resurrection from the dead. Romans 6...

THE PEACE THAT LASTS

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). In these present times, there’s something the whole world longs for, and that is lasting peace. The events in the world today testify to the fact that the peace initiated by man is temporary and fragile. But Jesus tells us in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you…” These aren’t mere words of comfort; this is what legally belongs to us in Christ Jesus; the peace of God that by far surpasses the understanding of man; it is our present hour possession! The world does give peace, but its peace is short-lived. God’s peace is everlasting. Many might seek for peace from the government, their family, neighbors and everybody else, yet God gives the kind of peace that man needs; the happiness and joy that lasts, all come from Him alone. That peace is inside you ...

JESUS WAS NOT A MARTYR

“Surely he hath borne our grieves, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed”(Isaiah 53:4-5). The Scripture above is about Jesus, the Lamb of God Who was slain from the foundation of the world. Some people think He was a great martyr, but that’s not true. Jesus was not a martyr; He didn’t die for His beliefs. He was a sacrifice, and there’s a great difference between the two. As a sacrifice, He died for us. Notice the Bible says, “…he was wounded for our transgressions” not for His transgressions. According to God’s Word, Jesus bore our grieves and carried our sorrows. Why? So we don’t have to bear them anymore! He suffered for us so we don’t have to suffer anymore. This is so important; in fact, this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He brought salvation to us, that if we would bel...

YOUR WORDS ARE POWERFUL; WATCH WHAT YOU SAY"

"Every time you talk, you're painting a picture of your life before God." In this insightful teaching with Pastor Chris, the man of God shows another dimension to the importance of the believer's words. Pastor emphasized on our responsibility in aligning our words with God's Word, assuring us that, according to the scriptures, no idle word will go unaccounted for in the presence of the Father.  "Train yourself to say the right things," everything we say goes out and never returns, but it is never destroyed.
