MAKE POWER AVAILABLE

“ The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] ”  James 5:16 AMP Have you ever carefully considered the fact that there’s enough power in you to turn any situation around in your favor? You can change anything because the divine power necessary to cause that change is already inside you; it was deposited in you the moment you received the Holy Spirit into your life:  “ But ye shall receive  power , after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you …”  (Acts 1:8) The word “power” here, refers to the dynamic ability to cause changes. However, the presence of this power alone doesn’t guarantee its availability. “So how do I make power available?” You may ask. The answer is in James 5:16 AMP:  “… The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available …”  Jesus referred to this kind of prayer in Matthew 6:6. It’s done with so much passion and em...

PRAYER FINE-TUNES YOUR SPIRIT

“ The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly ” (Proverbs 20:27) God leads and guides you through your spirit, not through your mind, and that’s why the Bible calls your spirit ‘the candle of the Lord.’ Your spirit functions like an antenna, scanning the spirit realm to pick the signals of the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is always speaking, but sometimes you may not be alert spiritually as you should to hear what He is saying. This is why praying in tongues is so important: it makes your spirit more sensitive to God. Praying in tongues fine-tunes your spirit, much the same way you fine tune your television or radio set to get perfect signals. Spiritual signals are always being released from the realm of the Spirit, but your spiritual antenna has to be raised and tuned to receive those divine words of blessing, instruction, direction and counsel coming forth from the throne of heaven. When you’re in tune with the Spirit you won’t...

READ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. “STEP OUT OF THE BOAT” – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SUNDAY, JUNE 19TH, 2016

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:29). In Matthew 14, Jesus walked on water and showed us something remarkable about the life of faith; the life of the Spirit we’ve been called to live. When His disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were scared, thinking He was a ghost. However, Jesus allayed their fears and said, “…it is I; be not afraid” (Matthew 14:27). When Peter heard the Master’s voice, he spoke up,“…Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water”(Matthew 14:28). Jesus obliged and said, “Come.” Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water to meet Jesus. Shortly afterwards, Peter began to drown in the water when he saw the raging tempest; fear gripped his heart and that dissipated his faith. Walking on the water is a life of the Spirit where you don’t consider anything else but God’s Word. It’s when you come out of that comfort zone and security of the boat, and take...

MAKE YOUR FAITH PROCLAMATIONS

“ We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak ”  (2 Corinthians 4:13) Proclaiming what you already believe in your heart strengthens your spirit and causes the Word to be active in your life. Our confessions of faith change and transform us, causing us to experience the realities of the Gospel in our lives. God created the world by His spoken Word. He said “ let there be …”  (Genesis 1:3, 6, 14) , and there was! In other words, whatever He spoke came into being. Hebrews 13:5-6 says,  “ for he  hath said …So that we  may boldly say …”  He taught us to boldly make faith proclamations. Jesus taught us the same when He said in Mark 11:23  ‘you shall have whatever you say.’ When you speak God’s Word in faith, the Spirit of God causes it to come to pass. So today, proclaim the Word boldly in faith concerning any challenging situation you may be f...

DON’T VACILLATE!

When you look at the past months in retrospect, can you convincingly say you did everything God told you to do at the beginning of the year? Whatever your answer might be, I want you to know that God loves you and He desires for you to make much more progress than you’ve had since the year began. He may have already started showing you the changes He wants you to make and the things He wants you to do in order to reach the place of your dreams by the end of the year. Therefore you must be prepared to follow through with the decisions you made because the adversary seeks to stop you from reaching the place of your dreams. The major issue with many people is inconsistency. They easily change with the tides. It’s a good thing to have good plans; it’s great to make Word-based decisions, but it is another thing to follow through with them. Those who don’t follow through with the right decisions, are as unwise as those who didn’t even make any decisions at all. You don’t get the results...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. DON'T NEGLECT THE WORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. SATURDAY, JUNE 18TH, 2016.

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life (Proverbs 4:13). Imagine that you’re a student, and prior to your exams, your teacher gives you all the relevant textbooks and materials to study, points out the very chapters you should focus on, and even the questions to expect. What do you think of the student who says, “I really want to pass this exam, but I don’t have enough time to study?” He has set himself up for failure. Likewise, in Christianity, we’re in life’s exam; the Holy Spirit, our Teacher, has given us the Word, and He’s shown us how to use it. He’s told us that every problem that’s going to be solved, and every question that’ll be answered, is in the Word. Nothing outside it is coming your way; therefore, study it, understand it, live by it, and you’ll be a success. However, if someone says, “I want to please God, and do His will. I want to be everything He destined me to be, but my problem is that I really don’t have the time to st...

READ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. HE WENT IN YOUR PLACE – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY, JUNE 17TH 2016.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (Colossians 1:18). The phrase in the theme verse, “the firstborn from the dead,” doesn’t mean the first to be raised from the dead. Prior to Jesus’ vicarious death, there were those who had been raised from the dead; so what the Apostle Paul communicates by the Spirit here, is different. When our sins were laid on Jesus on the cross, He died spiritually. Spiritual death is separation from God. Only through a spiritual rebirth does one awake from this death. Jesus Christ was the first born from spiritual death. As Jesus hung on the cross, He suffered the agony of being separated from the Father: “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? Which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34). This was a result of His being made the sin sacrifice, which automat...

READ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. WE’RE GOD’S HABITATION THROUGH THE SPIRIT – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.. THURSDAY, JUNE 16TH 2016.

What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19). In Exodus 25:8, God expressed His desire to dwell in the midst of His people. He said, “…let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.” Notice He didn’t say, “…that I may visit them,” no; not a visit. He said, “…that I may dwell among them.” Moses implemented God’s instruction. He rallied the children of Israel, to bring all the necessary offerings, and they built a beautiful sanctuary in accordance with the pattern and plan that God gave to Moses. However, that wasn’t good enough. God wanted a new sanctuary and showed David a vision of the new sanctuary; He gave him every detail of what it should be like. David was excited, and laid down a lot of gold and silver for the building of the temple. Nevertheless, it was Solomon, David’s son, who was approved of God to build the temple, and he built for God a magnificent t...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE CHURCH IS MARCHING ON – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15TH 2016.

And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). Over the years, the Church of Jesus Christ has continued to wax stronger and stronger, marching on in glory, regardless of the many persecutions and oppositions orchestrated against it by the adversary. The Church has remained unstoppable to this day, and will remain so for all time, because the Lord meant it when He said, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). The word “Gates” is symbolic in prophetic language for “power and dominion.” So, the powers of hell, the dominion of hell, shall not, and cannot prevail against the Church. It doesn’t matter what they do. The Church, right from inception, has survived and endured many terrible persecutions. There have been kings who threatened to annihilate the Church. Some even boasted that when they were through with the Churc...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. EQUIPPED FOR THE MANDATE – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. TUESDAY, JUNE 14TH 2016.

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established (Romans 1:11). Hosea 12:13 tells us that “…by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.” Notice, He didn’t say, “…by an angel,” but “…by a prophet.” God preserves or establishes His people through His servants; His chosen and anointed ministers. He equips them and sends them to those He wants to bless. Ephesians 4:11-12 says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” This lets us know why Paul could affirm boldly in his letter to the believers in Rome, “…I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift to the end ye may be established” (Romans 1:11). He knew he was a custodian of divine verities; he knew he had something to give. One of the reasons there...

READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. BLESS YOUR WORLD WITH THE ANOINTING – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. MONDAY, JUNE 13TH, 2016.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you… (1 John 2:27). Acts 19:12 tells us that handkerchiefs and aprons were taken from Paul to the sick: “…and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” This is just wonderful! The handkerchiefs, of course, had no intelligence whatsoever, but they contained the power of God. Paul transferred the anointing of the Spirit to the handkerchiefs, and when the handkerchiefs made contact with the sick, healings took place; demons checked out. If handkerchiefs that had no intelligence could contain the power of God, how much more could you? Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, meaning that you’re a God-carrying vessel. You embody the very power of the Spirit. Be conscious of it. With this power, you can accomplish tasks that are humanly impossible. You have to acknowledge that the anointing is in you. The Bible says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledgin...
