READ YOUR RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. BE FAITHFUL WITH THE ANOINTING - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD SUNDAY APRIL 24th, 2016

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you... (1 John 2:27). As a child of God, there's an anointing on your life; it's a divine enablement. Many mistake the anointing for the Spirit, but the anointing isn't the Spirit. The Spirit gives the anointing: the anointing is a divine power. It's that power of God that heals, delivers, removes burdens, and causes you to prosper. It brings you victory. It opens doors for you. It uplifts you, and causes you to  fulfill  the will of the Father. It accomplishes works beyond your human ability. Another beautiful thing is that the anointing on your life can increase. Sometimes, people want to do more; they want to make more impact with the Gospel by reaching more people. Yes; that's possible and commendable, but you need increased grace. God will have to increase the authority given to you; but first, you must be faithful with what you already have. If you're faithful in using what you currently hav

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. NO FAILURE OR DEFEAT - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD SATURDAY, 23RD OF APRIL 2016.

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). The life that we’ve been called to live in Christ is the transcendent life. It’s far removed from failure and defeat, because we’re associates of the God-kind. We’re joint heirs with Christ. Why then should any Christian suffer defeat and pain, when he’s a joint-heir with Christ? God had a plan, to make you one with Christ. That plan has already materialized. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” Now that you’re born again, you’re one with the Lord. You’ve come into union with Christ. You’re not one who’s struggling to attain God’s level; you’re already one with Him. Therefore, sickness, disease and infirmity shouldn’t have a place in your body. Failure of any kind isn’t, and shouldn’t be, a part of your life. Satan isn’t a factor either, because you’re seated

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - FRI APRIL 22ND 2016

The Word tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 -18: "Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you". At 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervently in the spirit for all 15 mins, praising the Lord for the glory of His Word in our lives and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter: Counselor, Intercessor, Advocate, Helper, Strengthener, Standby and Teacher. Let your heart be full of praise and gratitude to the Lord, knowing that all things are yours, and all things are working together for your good; you have within you the solution to every problem and through the Word, you're taking paths pre-ordained for you by the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! God bless you.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE ANSWER IS IN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD FRIDAY, 22ND APRIL 2016

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMP). As a Christian, there’s no challenge or problem strong enough to destroy you, because the greater One lives in you. You’re more than a conqueror. Before you were born, God already knew every problem you’d ever face, and made you a victor. The reason God allows problems or challenges come to you is that He already put the solution inside you. Problems gravitate towards their solution. So, when you face challenges, don’t cower or fret; rather, rejoice, for it’s your opportunity to manifest the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “...but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able....” God doesn’t mind tha

PRAYER FOR YOU

I take unto myself the whole armor of God and stand firm as a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have truth as my belt, righteousness as my breastplate, the gospel of peace on my feet, the helmet of salvation and faith as my shield. I am fully equipped to extinguish all the fiery darts of the devil and render all his stratagems futile and empty. My armor is ever on, in the name of Jesus. Amen..

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. UNDERSTANDING YOUR TRUE NATURE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD THURSDAY 21ST APRIL, 2016

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Galatians 5:22). You might want to ask, “If someone who's born again realizes that he has hatred, anger, bitterness, jealousy, envy, pride, etc., in his heart, how should he get rid of them? Should he pray to God to take them away?" First, you need to know who a Christian is; he's someone whose spirit has been recreated by God; and the recreated human spirit has certain distinct features, such as love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, and faith. Hatred, anger, bitterness, jealousy, envy and pride aren't features of the recreated human spirit; so, refuse to harbor them. Look into your spirit and bring forth love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. You have these beautiful features in your spirit. You may call them the "produce" of human spirit, because you're a tree of righteousness. The Bible says the love of God is shed ab

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - WED 20TH APRIL, 2016

In today's Rhapsody, we're reminded of the importance of earnest intercession for all men, our countries and leaders, according to 1 Timothy 2:1 - 4 which says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth". RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. EARNESTLY INTERCEDE FOR YOUR COUNTRY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. WEDNESDAY, 20TH APRIL 2016

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.... (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Our theme scripture is the Spirit’s admonition through Paul to the Church on the importance of earnest intercession for all men, our countries of domicile, and the leaders therein. The result of such is an overwhelming experience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” This is part of what you do in obedience—praying, contending for the hearts of men in your country, and around the world, that His righteousness will be established, and all forms of evil, turmoil, wickedness, and terror, be thwarted. Today, the security and economic situations of the world are of great concern. But the Church holds the solution. The Church is the only

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. DON'T ASSUME YOU KNOW - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY 19TH APRIL, 2016

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). As you grow in Christ, one important decision you must make is to continually increase your knowledge of the Word. Be passionate to know the Lord more through careful and diligent study of the Scriptures. Give more attention to the Word of God; digest it into your spirit; meditate on it. Never assume that you already know enough of the Word. There are people who just believe they've known the Word enough; they've become so familiar with the Word, and think they know everything in the Scriptures. Such people only realize the paucity of the Word in their spirit in the hour of crisis; that's when they find themselves acting in fear and anxiety. That's proof that the Word was really not inside them. Colossians 3:16 says, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly..., not scarcely. Abide in knowledge. The more you study the Word, th

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE WORD GIVES YOU STABILITY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD MONDAY, APRIL 18TH 2016

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). Too many people are tossed back and forth in life; they're as unstable as water. That's not God's desire for you. He wants you steadfast, stable, consistent, always abounding in the work of the Lord. He wants you firm and stable in your faith. And the Word of God is what brings that balance and stability into your life. To become a stable person, you have to become stable in the Word. Some people are easily moved and dissuaded from the faith by what they see and hear; they run their lives on the basis of their emotions and experiences. Every little thing shakes their faith. Never find yourself in that class. Believe with all your heart that the Scriptures will give you light, and direction, and that it holds the solution to every problem. Therefore, irrespective of the troubles,

JUDGE NO ONE!

Have you ever met people who have a judgmental attitude to life? They judge everything and everyone with one standard and judge themselves with another; believing they know what’s in everybody’s heart. God is never pleased with such people because it is a wrong attitude to life. When you see a brother behave in a certain manner you don’t agree with, first get more information for the cause of action before reacting. Don’t reject anyone on hearsay; don’t join the multitude to condemn! The Bible says the Lord Jesus has been “…ordained of God to be the Judge of the quick (living) and dead” (Acts 10:42). He alone is the true Judge; nevertheless, He’s rich in mercy. His mercy knows no bound and you can have it increased in your life by being merciful to others. Never reject a man because he doesn’t conform to your beliefs. You may not have been exposed to some information he’s exposed to. Rather, make up your mind to journey the way of Christ.

STOP BROODING OVER THE PAST!

FORGET THE PAST! Saul, who was later known as Paul; one of the greatest Apostles ever, was a bitter persecutor of the Church. Acts 8:3 says, “As for Saul, he made havoc of the Church, entering into every house, and hailing men and women, committed them to prison.” This was the extent of Saul’s desperation to execute the Christians; but when he encountered Jesus, his life took on a new course. After that, he completely let go of the past and never ever berated himself for persecuting the Church. He had the revelation of the new creation and as such knew that old things were passed away and all things had become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Addressing the Philippians, in Philippians 3:13 (TLB), he said to them, “…forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” All through his ministry year, he talked about the Lord Jesus Christ as though he walked and dined with Him. Everything he knew about Christ was not after the flesh, rather it was by revelation, and that’s why he

DELIGHT IN HELPING OTHERS.

It’s not enough to live long; it’s what you live for that really matters. There are people who lived far more than a hundred years, but made no impact in the lives of those around them; there was nothing significant about their lives. Such people constitute problems to the economy of the world because they contribute anything; they only take, they never give back. You should learn to contribute positively to the advancement of lives around you. You must make up your mind to live a meaningful life; one that will make the world move forward and touches the lives of others in a positive way. When you bless people, you will always be lifted. Know that your promotion is embedded in your promoting others, and you would only be a success when you make others successful. You will never discover the treasure God has kept in you until you reach out to help someone else become something. That’s where real joy is! The Bible says, “the liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth sh

BE PURPOSEFUL!

Many years ago, a gentleman told me that he wanted to be a businessman. When I asked “why?” he stared at me wondering what I meant by that question. You see, it is not enough to be a businessman; that’s not a vision. Being a doctor, lawyer or an accountant is not a vision either because your profession shouldn’t be your vision. You may need to ask yourself this; “what is God’s purpose for me in this profession?” The lack of a purpose in life has led to the frustration of so many lives. Some have become millionaires only to discover that money doesn’t bring satisfaction, and soon they are looking for something more. Only the Lord can show a man the purpose for his life. God’s Word says, “moreover whom he did not predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified” (Romans 8:30). When we talk about destiny we are making reference to God’s purpose in your life. Your profession is not the end in itself but a m

MAKE MELODY OF THE WORD IN YOUR HEART

“ And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit ” (Ephesians 5:18) Reading the Scripture above further into the nineteenth and twentieth verses tells us exactly how to be filled with the Spirit: “ Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ ” (Ephesians 5:19-20). These psalms, hymns and spiritual songs you’re required to speak in order to be filled with the Spirit must be based on God’s Word, for the Word and the Spirit are one: “… the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life ” (John 6:63). This lets us know that one of the ways to be filled with the Spirit is to sing or make melody of the Word in your heart to the Lord. That means wherever you are, you can muse over, ponder or mutter the Word to yourself until it forms a melody in your heart that will burs

A BRAND NEW LIFE!

“Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP). The Greek rendering of the phrase “passed away” in the scripture above means “gone out of existence.” So as a new creation you’re a brand new man; not one who was merely forgiven his trespasses. The Bible says, “…we are buried with him (Christ) by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Realize that you didn’t merely turn over a new leaf when you were born again; you were recreated as a new species. You may still look the same way you did before you received Christ; as a matter of fact, your physical appearance remains the same; but your spirit is new! It’s a brand new life; that’s why the Bible says “all things have become new!”

A NEW LIFE OF VICTORY!

“ Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life ” (Romans 6:4). The Bible says, “ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new ” (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means, old things, old limitations, old troubles, old pains, are passed away and all things have become new. A brand new life of victory is what you receive when you are born again; not when you get to heaven, but right here on earth. You’ve been given the right to live a good life and walk in supernatural prosperity and divine health. It’s also a life of soul-winning, for you’ve been called into the ministry of reconciliation: “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18). This means you must also openly testify of Jes
