RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THE LORD'S SUPPER AND THE HOLY COMMUNION - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SUNDAY, APRIL 3RD 2016.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come (1 Corinthians 11:26). Even though many use these terms synonymously, there's a big difference between the Holy Communion and the Lord's Supper. They're not the same. What some celebrate as the Lord's Supper is the Passover meal; the last meal the Lord shared with His disciples. That's like the Love Feasts we have in our cell or church groups today; we come together once in a while and eat together. Paul referred to similar feasts in 1 Corinthians 11:20-22 where he rebuked some people for not waiting for their brethren, but over-ate till others had nothing to eat. He said to them, "If you can't be kind to one another during love feasts, then eat at home before coming." This definitely wasn't the Holy Communion. On the night Jesus was betrayed, as He ate the Passover meal with His disciples, He took bread separately, broke it, and gave it to ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. CONSTANTLY AFFIRM HIS WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME SATURDAY 2ND APRIL 2016:

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men (Titus 3:8). The Christian walk is that of continual affirmation of the Word. Jesus said, “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak” (John 12:49). Thus, what you re-echo must be the Father’s words. The Father’s words are words of the Kingdom; words of life. When we say we have the God-life in us, or talk about being born again, or the new creation life, these aren’t religious clichĆ©s derived from philosophy. These are expressions of the Word. In Christianity, we affirm the Word; we confess the Word. Whatever we say or speak should, and must always, be in conformity with the Word of God. Constantly affirm that you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus, infused with the life of God, not vulner...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE POWER OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME FRIDAY, APRIL 1ST 2016

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed (Acts 16:25-26). Acts 16 chronicles how songs of praise from Paul and Silas resulted in a divinely orchestrated earthquake that saw to their release from an obnoxious incarceration. When you praise the Lord from your heart in the beauty of holiness, the result is a divine explosion of glory. Praise and worship the Lord in the face of daunting challenges, and His glory will be manifested in your behalf. If you desire a miracle today, whether it's in your job or finances or even trouble at work; or perhaps it has to do with your heath or that of a loved one; whatever it is, as an act of faith, set this matter before you, and begin to sing songs of praise in the spirit and also in your understanding again and ag...

MONEY AFFIRMATIONS; MONEY EVERYWHERE !!!

THE TRIUMPHANT CHURCH

“ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus ” (Ephesians 2:4-6). We are living in the day of the triumphant Church. The triumphant Church is the Church that has been awakened to the reality that we have been raised up and made to sit together with Christ in the heavenly places. God Himself has positioned us to sit in the seat of authority. We’ve been established in righteousness, and we use the Word by the anointing of the Holy Spirit to establish God’s righteousness in the hearts of others in our environment. Now we are the righteousness of God in Christ, so we declare boldly that we are not subject to sin, and its consequences; rather, we are alive to God! Also, Romans 5:17 declares, “ For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which ...

PRAYER FOR YOU

Dear Father, I thank You for Your Word that gives me insight into Your perfect will, and guides me in the path of victory, divine health, and dominion, causing me to deal wisely in the affairs of life. Today, I manifest the glories, beauty and power of the life of Christ in me, in Jesus name. Amen.

LIVE FOR A CAUSE

“ Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall ”   (2 Peter 1:10) Many live their lives without ever knowing their reason for being. There’s no life more frustrating than one lived without purpose. As Christians, we have a responsibility in Christ, and we must be consistently conscious of that responsibility. We’re the ones to influence those in our sphere of contact and win our world to Christ. That’s our purpose and reason for being. The Bible says,   “ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation .”   (2 Corinthians 5:19). This is God’s purpose for our lives. He has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation. Thus the reason we live is for the salvation of the souls of men. Jesus knew His reason for coming. He declared in John 10:10,   “… I am come...

GOD’S CHOSEN BREED!

“ But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light ” (1 Peter 2:9) The Bible describes those who are born again as a chosen breed; a chosen species; a new type of people – God’s dream people. This is what God longed for when He told the Jewish nation – if you obey my voice, I’ll make you a peculiar treasure, a peculiar people, a kingdom of priests, a holy nation  (Exodus 19:5) . Now, we are God’s dream fulfilled, and we didn’t have to sweat or struggle for it. We didn’t beg for it or do anything by ourselves to earn it; the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ conferred it on us. We got it by inheritance! In our opening scripture, when God described the new creation as a chosen generation, He meant that he belongs to a new generation of supermen with the divine genetic material! This means you have God’s DNA in you. No wonder the Bible say...

ZOE – THE LIFE WITHIN

“ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life (ZoĆ«), and this life is in his Son ”   (1 John 5:11) God’s testimony is that He has graciously granted you ZoĆ«, the God-kind of life. He didn’t give it to you sparingly but lavishly. It’s so important for every believer to recognize this truth. That’s why John declared,  “ These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God ”   (1 John 5:13). Now, not only does the Lord want you to be fully conscious of eternal life in you, He also wants you to activate it within you. Jesus didn’t die to produce weaklings, victims, or failures; He died to raise up a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, a holy nation. The life in you is the superior life; it’s a life that repels sickness, disease and infirmity! When the forces of ZoĆ« are activa...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. SPEAK BLESSINGS TO EVERYTHING AROUND YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME THURSDAY 31ST MARCH 2016

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). God wants us to take His Word to the nations, and that means a lot. But you see, when He said to preach the Gospel to every creature, He wasn’t only referring to preaching to someone who doesn’t know Jesus. Preaching the Gospel to every creature means preaching to EVERYTHING that exists! Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” The term “creature” actually means “creation.” So, it’s saying, “The earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.” There’s depreciation in the human world, including human life; and so, everything in life is waiting for your manifestation; waiting for you to liberate them. All around the world, there’s fear. Many scientists provide evidence of ozone layer depletion. Global warming remains an issue of widespread political debate, with world le...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. ''PRAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY'' - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30TH.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty   (1 Timothy 2:1-2). As a Christian, it’s important to pray always for your country and the leaders; be it your country of residence or earthly nationality. Some people don’t know this: many a time, there’s a strong spiritual conflict for the soul of nations. In the days of Daniel, an angel had to fight the Prince of Persia (Daniel 10:10-13). Such spiritual conflicts still happen today, over countries of the world. There’re forces fighting for the destruction and impoverishment of nations. But there’re also angels, sent by God for the protection and prosperity of those nations. There’re very difficult days ahead, for many nations of the world. But the Lord wants His people prepared and ready. As we pray, angels sent by God are able to ful...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. YOU HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME TUESDAY, MARCH 29TH 2016.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). In life, people may find themselves in certain circumstances they weren't responsible for. Yes, others can create situations or circumstances—pleasant or unpleasant—for you, but ultimately, you have a role to play in determining the final outcome of your life. The circumstances of your birth may not have been so palatable. You may have been born into a poor home; and you had nothing to do with that. That was another person's responsibility. But don't maintain the status quo, because someone else was responsible; change things! You may have been born poor, but you weren't born to be poor. If you were attending a particular school, and for some reason the school closed up, are you going to say, ...

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. WALKING IN PREARRANGED PATHS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME MONDAY, 28TH MARCH 2016.

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMP). As a child of God, you're not an accident in this world. God isn't surprised about you, because He knew you, ever before you came. There's a path prearranged by God for you; and it's a path of greatness. Everything you'd ever do, and achieve in life, have been prearranged! The question is, are you walking in that prearranged path? In that path, there's no failure! In that path, there's no defeat! In that path, there's no death! In that path, there's no poverty! In that path, there's no sickness! It's a path prearranged by God Himself. If you're meeting with frustrations in your life, what path...

THE VICTORY OF CHRIST’S SACRIFICE

HAPPY EASTER BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ! There’re those who ignorantly weep over the sufferings of Christ on the Cross for us, lamenting what pain and humiliation He suffered for our sakes; but that suffering brought us life eternal, and ushered us into the life of victory. It was God-ordained that Christ should suffer and that the result of His suffering be glory, victory, success and prosperity for us all: “ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow ” (1 Peter 1:11) . So, rather than lament we ought to declare, everyday, the victory of His death. Jesus didn’t die for nothing; His death gave mankind victory over sin and its attendant effects. By hanging on the cross as God’s sacrifice for sin, He took your place and gave you the victory. Now, God wants you not only to proclaim that victory, but to live every day in the victory of His death, burial and gl...
