WATCH WHAT YOU SAY

“ But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned ” Matthew 12:36– 37 Our opening scripture expresses the paramount importance of words as taught by the Lord Jesus. Interpreting His words literally, He said, a man will go to heaven or hell because of what he said or didn’t say; but beyond that, your life is the character of your words. If a man’s words are wholesome, his life would be wholesome as well. This is why you must watch what you say! Don’t make careless statements for they’ll produce results for you, and never joke against the Word of God. This is why you must only say what you mean, and mean what you say. Remember, God holds you accountable for the things you say. So build your life with your words. Your life can’t be different from the words you speak. Therefore make it a conscious exercise to store God’s Word in

TAKE POSSESSION IN THE SPIRIT

The Bible lets us know that God has set eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Meaning there’s no limit to what you can possess by faith! You have the capacity to contain eternity itself in your spirit. This was how Abraham became the possessor of the whole earth. The Lord said to him in   Genesis 13: 14-15, “…Lift up now thine eyes, look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever”. Abraham knew that the Lord wasn’t talking about physical lands. By faith, he saw the whole world with his spiritual eyes, and once he was able to see it, God said “it’s yours!” Start practicing how to see and take possession from your spirit for that’s where God guides you from. He doesn’t function in the realm of the senses. With your faith, you can take businesses, corporations, cities and ultimately the whole world with the gospel. You can open the doors of every nation to

YOU’RE THE CROWN OF ALL GOD’S CREATURES

The Bible teaches, “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life ” (John 3:16). God gave us His best, because we’re His best. The value of something can only be determined by what was paid for it; God saved us with the precious blood of Christ: “ Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot ” (1Peter 1:18-19). This scripture is a testimony of our value to God. James 1:18 says, “ Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures ” God did this on His own accord; by His choice He made us the first and best! The Message Translation puts it this way, “ He brought us to life using the true Word,  showing us off as the crown of all his

LOOK THROUGH THE MIRROR OF GOD

“ Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionist, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God ” (1 Corinthians 6:10-11). Notice that our opening verse didn’t say “… and such  are   some of you …” rather it says “… and such  were   some of you …” this is because now that you’re in Christ, you’ve been cleansed of all unrighteousness. You’ve put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him (Colossians 3:9-10). The Christian has been separated from sin unto God, and declared righteous, in the Name of the Lord, and by the Spirit of God! So now you are only to look at yourself through the Word; the new creation can only know what he looks like by looking into the mirror of God – His Word. It’s the mirror that shows your real picture in

REQUEST AND RECEIVE

“ And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me ” (John 5:5-7). Some people don’t know the difference between complaining to the Lord and making a request of Him. When Jesus met the sick man at the pool of Bethesda, He asked him, “Do you want to be made whole?” Instead of the man to request His help, he started complaining. This was his character, and he could have missed his miracle, but for the compassion of Jesus. Your attitude in prayer determines whether or not you’ll receive what you desire. Don’t have a complaining attitude. Complaints don’t work with God. He has shown us what works in His Word; it says “ Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. Wit

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - FRI MAY 13TH 2016

The Word instructs us to make the most of every opportunity to tell others about Jesus and His saving grace. While the doors to cities, nations, families and even individuals remain open, we must act before they're shut. Learn more in today's Rhapsody or download from http://rhapsodyofrealities.org James 5:16 tells us that the earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. For most of 15mins at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray fervidly in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Pray specially for salvation of souls through the gospel of Christ around the world. God bless you.

GOOD MORNING SAINTS! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. SEIZE THE MOMENT: PREACH THE GOSPEL NOW - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD. FRIDAY, MAY 13TH 2016.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2). Our opening verse was Apostle Paul's charge to Timothy. He said, "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season...." This is God's charge to you today; preach the Word, in season and out of season. There're nations today where you can't preach the Gospel openly, but some years ago, they were open. Preach the Word now before the doors of some nations are closed; some cities will be closed very soon, and you won't be able to preach the Gospel there, like you can now. There're many ways that a nation or city gets closed. For instance, when in a country, there're cities and states where you can't organize open-air gospel meetings because of prohibitions, it means that city or nation is closed. Even when you attempt to organise such meetings, the security agencies will tell you, "We can't accept or

GOOD MORNING SAINTS! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. BEING A TRUE MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD THURSDAY MAY 12TH 2016

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew5:11-12). When, as a Christian you’re effective in soul-winning, ministering faith, hope and love to others, you become an easy target for persecution. Not everyone will accept you. Nevertheless, remember, not everyone accepted Christ either. That’s why He said in Matthew 10:24-25, “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?” You shouldn’t be surprised when, after you’ve acted in love and shown kindness to some people, they turn against you and do terrible things to hurt you. It’s not right to get angry and

GOOD MORNING SAINTS! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. THE WORD IN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD WEDNESDAY MAY 11TH 2016

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God (Luke 8:11). The Lord has given us His Word. The Bible says in Psalm 107:20, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” If you’d receive God’s Word into your heart, it’ll change your life. I’m convinced that if you’d place yourself under the ministry of the Word long enough, you’ll make tremendous progress and your life will be a display of the efficacy of the Word. Some people may not agree with this because their experiences have been different. They’ve been in church for so long, yet they’re confused about life. They say, “I’ve been going through so much, yet nothing has changed. I’m confused.” Such people might have been long in the church, but they haven’t given themselves to the Word. They may have messages on DVD and other formats, but the message isn’t in them. You need the message in your heart, not on your shelf or device. Until and unless the Word takes root in your heart, it won

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. YOU RULE ON HIS BEHALF - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD TUESDAY, MAY 10TH 2016

The LORD will send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thy enemies (Psalm 110:2). Talking about the Lord Jesus, the Bible says, "...he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet" (1 Corinthians 15:25). This isn't about Him reigning in heaven, but in the earth. Legally, God has put all things under His feet. Ephesians 1:22 says, "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church." So, Jesus is the head over all things. Isaiah 9:6 says, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder...." Notice, it doesn't say the government shall be upon His head, but upon His shoulder. Jesus is the head; the government is upon His shoulder, that is, His body—the Church. Therefore, when the Psalmist declared, "The LORD will let your power reach out from Zion, and you will rule over your enemies" (Psalm 110:2 CE

PRAYER AT 12NOON AND 10PM (LOCAL/GMT) - MON MAY 9TH 2016

You can live to your highest potentials in life by training in the Word. Read more in today's Rhapsody or download from http://rhapsodyofrealities.org Psalms 141:2 says: "Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice". In both 15 mins sessions at 12noon and 10pm we'll pray fervently in the spirit, setting forth our prayer before the Lord as incense, lifting up our hands in worship and giving thanks unto His Name for His Glory and abiding presence in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Affirm your love for the Lord Jesus and your passion for the house of God, declaring that you pursue the cause of the Gospel with increased zeal and speed, walking in the knowledge of His perfect will and purpose for your life. Pray also for the spread of the Gospel around the world, and affirm that the knowledge of the saving power of Christ and the Glory of God covers the whole earth as the waters cover the sea. Halle

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL ENJOY WHAT HE'S GIVEN YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD MONDAY, 9TH MAY, 2016

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). Galatians 4:1 says, “Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” The heir is one who has an inheritance. However, though he owns everything, as long as he’s a child, he can’t enjoy his inheritance; rather, he’s placed under tutors and instructors, to bring him up to maturity. This is what God does for us through the ministry of His Word. We’re taught and tutored on our inheritance in Christ. Even though all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21), you’ll not be able to enjoy your inheritance, if you’re not trained in the Word. It’s the reason the Lord gave the ministry gifts to the Church: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints...” (Ephe

HE COMMANDS HIS BLESSINGS

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” (Psalm 133:1-3) When you take a closer look at verse 3, you would notice David was talking about the anointing of the Holy Ghost. David referred to the anointing ‘as the dew of Hermon’. Mount Zion and Mount Hermon, according to the Bible, are one and the same. “And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sun rising; From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,” (Deuteronomy 4:47-48) When I studied more about Mount Hermon, I discovered that it always had dew on it; morning, noon an

YOU ARE A BLESSING

God is a “blessing-God”; He always loves to bless people. The Bible says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). In other words, He’s constantly looking around for someone to do something good for, someone to bless. But to do this, He won’t come down from heaven; He needs someone in the earth to bless another person. That’s why He trains us by teaching us to give, to be caring and concerned about the needs of others. Realize that you’re God’s point of contact to your world; you’re His contact-point of blessings! You’re not the one trying to get blessed, for you’ve already been lavishly blessed; now you’re a blessing (Genesis 12:2). When God is looking for whom to bless, He wants to use you, because your life is overflowing with blessings. Abraham was a blessed man; he was prosperous in all things, for God had blessed him abundantly. Just by associat

THE EFFECT OF THE BLESSING

When God blesses a man there’s really no word to describe it. I’ll call it the supernatural elixir. Everything you do just turns out right; everything you touch turns to success. When that blessing is on you, favor will come to you and you can’t help but succeed in everything you do. This starts up in your life when God visits you. Now you can understand something of the force field we talked about earlier. Everybody desires to be successful in whatever they do; and this is perhaps why some people look for charms to help them. Some go to the extent of traveling to other countries to get these charms. Everybody wants that supernatural ‘thing’ that can open up doors everywhere. When the anointing settles on you, as the dew of hermon, its effects are beyond human description. Everything you touch starts prospering as that anointing keeps working. When God gives the word for your blessing, it settles on you like dew, and prospers you in every way. This comes from the Presence of t

THE BLESSING IS YOUR ADVANTAGE

“ Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing ” (1 Peter 3:9). Some people complain bitterly about how they’ve been cheated, victimized or marginalized by others. They give these excuses as reasons for their failure in life. But that’s not your lot if you’re born again. You’re the seed of Abraham: “ And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise ” (Galatians 3:29). The blessing of Abraham is at work in you, and that blessing guarantees your prosperity no matter where you find yourself in life; it gives you the advantage. It was that blessing at work in Isaac that gave him the advantage, causing him to prosper exceedingly, wax great and make progress until he became the envy of the Philistines (Genesis 26:13-14). The blessing worked so much for him that in a time of drought, where others experienced no harvest, Isaac sowed in the same

GOD’S ABUNDANT BLESSING

As a Christian, God has blessed you beyond measure. You have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Moreover, God didn’t bless you because you were good and kind. Your good works didn’t make God bless you more that He has already done. Jesus already died for you and made you his joint heir, He doesn’t need to bless you more than He already has. The truth is; you cannot but be blessed! There is nothing too good for you because you are a child of God. So, you don’t need to ask God to bless you anymore because everything he owns belongs to you. No wonder the Bible declares that all things are ours (1 Corinthians 3:21). The Psalmist acknowledged that ‘the earth is the Lord’s and its fullness thereof ‘, and the Lord has willingly bequeathed His entire wealth to you, as you are His heir. It was His choice and a function of His Grace, not because of what you did. As Christians, we have been predestined to enjoy the infinite wealth and

ACTIVATE HIS BLESSINGS IN YOUR LIFE.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Often times, people say, "I'm waiting on the Lord to do such-and-such for me." And by that they mean they're expecting Him to "do" something about their cases. If there's anything you're waiting for God to do for you, then I'll like to announce to you: God is waiting for you to do something and effect the change that you desire! Our opening verse doesn't say God is going to bless us; it says He's blessed us! This is an amazing reality, and the most beautiful part is, there're no conditions attached. You've been blessed already. There're two things to understand from that verse: the first one is that the spiritual controls the physical; meaning, if He's blessed you with all spiritual blessings, then you're blessed with all earthly blessings! The lesser is included in

CONFESSION

I'm the seed of Abraham, born to reign and rule the world! I'm walking in abundance, because all things are mine! My life is the testimony of God's grace, glory, and greatness. Not only am I blessed, I'm the dispenser of God's blessings and goodness. Hallelujah!
