Christians who still struggle with sin do so as a result of an identity crisis; they are yet to understand from the God’s Word, who they really are. The new creation in Christ is dead to sin (Romans 6:2). Being dead to sin simply means, sin has no power over you. Romans 6:14 says, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Your understanding of the righteousness of God liberates you from sin consciousness.
