“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20).
A lot of people were healed through the ministry of Jesus Christ, and there were many miracles. People came from afar and wide to hear His Words and receive a touch from Him. His prayer life reveals to us His dependence on the Holy Ghost and lets us know how He was able to do all these. In the midst of His glorious ministry, we find the Lord separating Himself to go into the wilderness to pray. The Bible lets us know that when He came out of His praying place, He went to teach and the power of the Lord was present to heal. That power was healing power.
There’s something about the power of the Lord being present. Several years ago, I was conducting a crusade in a certain town. so many beautiful things happened in that crusade, but on one particular night, I wasn’t very excited. I had seen some healings that night, but i wanted to see mightier works. so I stayed up all night and prayed till morning.
After praying like this, I was so full of the unction, and then in the night, we went for the crusade. I preached the Word of God to them. Now, throughout the hour-long message, I was suspended in a cloud. I could hardly see the people, as I spoke, a bluish vapour oozed out of my mouth. I saw it and many others in the crowd testified that they did too. That night, tremendous miracles took place; I called out the sick by the spirit: the lame walked, blind eyes opened, deaf ears were unstopped, and many others were healed. we had a glorious outreach.
That is the divine energy. The energy was there all the while but I had to pray to stir up this energy in my spirit. You also must learn to stir up that power in you all the time. The power is turned on inside you. It’s just like turning on the switch of an electric bulb, the filament is electrified and begins to glow. You can glow in your spirit. Stir up the divine energy in you through prayers, and experience the power of God in your life today.
