“Meditate upon these things; give
thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all” (1 Timothy 4:15)
Imagine that someone said to you, “Get up”, and you promptly obliged,
especially upon due contemplation of the instruction and consideration of the
one from whom it came; you’ve “yielded” yourself to that instruction. As a
result, you’ll then enjoy the benefits of the instruction. The benefits of
yielding yourself wholly to the Word is that your “profiting” will appear to
all.
The Greek word translated “profiting” is “Prokope” which means furtherance,
progress or advancement. This means you’ll make advancement by the Word; your
progress becomes apparent when the Word is final authority in your life.
The phrase “may appear” in our opening verse actually
means more than “something coming casually into sight”; the Greek term is “Phaneros” which means “to spread abroad”. Your
advancement, furtherance and prosperity will spread abroad, become widely and
openly known.
The month of May has been our month of Meditation and we’ve meditated
on two scriptures daily as instructed by the Man of God, Pastor Chris.
Share your revelations on some scriptures you’ve meditated on in the
month of May!
Post yours
and inspire others…
