God is a “blessing-God”; He always loves to bless people. The Bible says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).
In other words, He’s constantly looking around for someone to do something good for, someone to bless. But to do this, He won’t come down from heaven; He needs someone in the earth to bless another person. That’s why He trains us by teaching us to give, to be caring and concerned about the needs of others.
Realize that you’re God’s point of contact to your world; you’re His contact-point of blessings! You’re not the one trying to get blessed, for you’ve already been lavishly blessed; now you’re a blessing (Genesis 12:2). When God is looking for whom to bless, He wants to use you, because your life is overflowing with blessings.
Abraham was a blessed man; he was prosperous in all things, for God had blessed him abundantly. Just by association with Abraham, Lot, his nephew, became very wealthy. That’s the way you are; you’re that channel for distribution of God’s blessings to the world. Praise God!
