God wants you rich and extremely prosperous .You can’t pretend that money isn’t important. I am sure that the reason you work, isn’t because you love your country. The reason you work is primarily because you need the money to take care of yourself and have things going well for you.
Don’t think for a second that because you are born again, you would get a ‘special price’ whenever you want to make a purchase at the stores; there are no price concessions for Christians at the fuel stations or shopping malls.
Furthermore, it takes money to reach the world for Jesus with the latest technology available to us today. Sadly, many shy away from talking about money in church for fear of been criticized. Mean while, everyone including Christians freely talk about money outside the Church building.
It is important for you to know that God wants you to be rich; he wants you to have money. The Lord Jesus encouraged us to give in Luke 6:38 because you should always have something to give; you can’t give if you don’t have.
Many around you will be poor, and you won’t be able to help them, if you only have just enough for yourself. It is God’s desire that you have over and above, so can you help someone else. (2 Corinthians 9:8).
According to the Bible, Abraham wasn’t just rich but ‘very rich’, (Genesis 13:2) and you are Abraham’s seed. Therefore the heritage of Jacob is your inheritance in Christ Jesus.
