And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great (Genesis 26:13).
There’re those who believe life should be full of ups and downs, but that shouldn't be your experience. As a child of God, you've been ordained to journey only in one direction upward and forward. That’s the life to which you've been called; it’s a life of progress and advancement. You have the nature to be absolutely successful, because you’re the seed of Abraham. You’re an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ.
Therefore, develop a mentality that’s consistent with who you are in Christ. Refuse to allow thoughts of defeat download into your system. See in one direction only “northward.” In the Kingdom of God, there’s no south, east or west; only north. In the earth, you have south, west, east, and north, but in the spirit realm, there’s only one direction north.
Now, this may not mean much to you if you try to figure it out with your earthly mentality. But if you understand your calling and spiritual nativity, you’ll know why God wants you to journey in one direction only. He said in Proverbs 4:27, “Turn not to the right hand nor to the left….” What’s He saying? He wants you to go in the direction of His Word. Refuse to turn to the right or to the left, because there’re distractions and detractors that’ll try to get your attention; don’t look at them. Set yourself on course, on the victory lane.
There shouldn't be ups and downs in your life; don’t allow it. Look upwards, and go forward! Your life is the story of unending progress. Proverbs 4:18 says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Keep making progress from glory to glory.
CONFESSION:
I don’t see as ordinary men see! I see and think only through the Word of God! Therefore, my life is upward and forward only, from glory to glory! Hallelujah!
