Around the world, there
are Christians who think that praying is something we do only when we face
challenges that require divine intervention. This is a misconception that would
make prayer less productive and delightful.
Prayer is more
than an opportunity to get God to do something for us when we have tried other
means that failed. Prayer is fellowship with God; a time when we commune with
God and synchronize ourselves with His purpose for lives daily. This is very
important to every Christian who desires to live a purposeful and fulfilled
life here on earth.
The more time you
spend in fellowship with the Lord in prayer, the more of His character and
personality are revealed in and through you; you will find out that your
thoughts are constantly inundated with inspirations from the Word of God, and
the things you do will align with His plans for your life. Your heart will
always be pure towards men, and you would always see the good in people. Prayer
conditions your Spirit, making you receptive to God always as He leads you
along the way through the challenges of the day.
If you haven’t
taken praying serious, make up your mind today to spend quality time praying;
especially praying in other tongues.
