“For [as far as this
world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with
Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear
with Him in [the splendor of His] glory” (1 John 3:2 AMP)
From our opening
verse, the Bible tells us that Christ is our life! This means the life you have
now as a born again child of God is not from your blood anymore but from God.
His life (Zoë) flows through your body, it keeps you healthy and strong.
Amazing!
You have a divine
life that’s so different from that of the ordinary man. It’s the indestructible
life of the new creation that God talks about in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new” (NKJV). You are now divine just as your
heavenly Father is divine.
Christ being your
life means you’re the expression of God’s glory, wisdom and righteousness to
your world. Little wonder Apostle Paul said to the Colossian church, “…Christ
in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). His life in you is hope for your
world, and this therefore bequeaths to you a responsibility of leadership.
