Some people believe
that they have to suffer and settle for the lesser things in life. They have
the notion that poverty is part of God’s will. That’s not true! Poverty,
sickness, and defeat have nothing to do with going to heaven!
You were made after the image and the likeness of God (Genesis 1:28), and
according to the Scriptures, He didn’t plan a miserable life for you. In 2
Corinthians 8:9 the Bible says, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye
through his poverty might be rich.” Jesus suffered that we might not suffer; He
became poor that we might become rich. Everything God created was good and
specially made for your comfort and enjoyment (1 Timothy 6:17). Then, He gave
you dominion over everything so you can use them to your benefit. That dominion
or authority is for you to drive poverty away from your life.
God said “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19). In other words, your obedience is demonstrated in your doing of God’s Word. Your obedience to the Word creates an atmosphere for wealth. This is what will bring you to the fullness of your inheritance in Christ Jesus. Your submission to the leadership of the Spirit and His Word shows you’ve come under His authority and as such, His power is released on your behalf. “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.” (1 Corinthians 3:21-23) Praise God!
