WHERE YOU MEET THE HOLY GHOST!

“And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho” (2 Kings 2:4). Jericho is the place where you meet the Holy Ghost. You’ll find this in Joshua 5:13-15 “And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, what saith my lord unto his servant? And the captain of the Lord’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place where on thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.” The man, Joshua, had not known the Holy Ghost. He was preparing to take Jericho when he saw a man with his sword drawn, ready for a fight. Joshua fearlessly approached him and asked, “Are you for us or for our adversaries?” “Neither of you,” the Man replied, “I’m the Captain of the Lord’s host.” Suddenly Joshua’s eyes opened and he realized he was talking to the Holy Ghost. At this, he fell down and worshiped Him and asked, “What does my LORD have to say?” When you come to Jericho, it means you’ve moved from Gilgal, where you started out, to Bethel, where you made your commitment to God. Since you didn’t want to stop there, you took further steps to meet and know the Holy Ghost. Why? You have a greater work to do; there’s a ‘Jericho’ for you to conquer and possess. There are walls that must come down, walls that must give way.
At Jericho, you meet the Holy Ghost and He changes your life as He did Joshua’s. He said to Joshua, “Look, that sword you have in your hand is not going to work. You can’t stand by the gates of Jericho and hope that someday they’ll open up for you to rush in. You can’t hope to climb the walls either.
Let Me tell you what to do…” The importance of the Holy Spirit in the things we do cannot be over emphasized. No matter what you do in God’s house, whether you clean the louvers or you’re the pastor, God will not bless it except it is done by the power of the Holy Spirit. According to the Bible, if it’s not done by the power of the Holy Spirit, it’s nothing to God. But if it is, then it is recorded in Heaven. Even if you’re cleaning the church floor, you must clean by the power of the Holy Spirit, for nothing is acceptable to God except it is presented to Him through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus presented Himself as a sacrifice through the eternal Spirit, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:14). You see, Jericho is the place where you leave your human strategies and take up the Holy Ghost’s strategies. It’s the place where you stop thinking carnally, where you stop using the calculator to tell how much you can have.  Jericho is the place where you stop using your bank account to determine how much you’re able to do. Jericho is the place where you take the Holy Ghost’s strategies and use them for His glory.

I LAY UP GOLD AS DUST! - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Somebody said, "There’s financial harmattan. Everywhere is just dry". Not me! Dry? Never! Not in my DNA. I am always in surplus! But when do you have the most dust? In time of dryness! Wipe the dust today, come back tomorrow, the dust is back, all over the place. The scripture is saying "In time of dryness, I lay up gold as dust (Job 22:24). Too much money! When their bank accounts are frowning, my own bank accounts are laughing, shouting for joy. Gloryyyyy!!! Remember, everything in life including your bank accounts have intelligence. YOU’RE THE BLESSED OF THE LORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Notice the construction above; the Apostle Paul wasn’t praying or making entreaties or begging God for spiritual blessings, no! It’s an energetic outburst of luxuriant, profuse, and exuberant worship. He glorifies the Lord who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms. He had the mentality that he was already blessed with all spiritual blessings that exist, and became poetic in praise. This should be your testimony! Be full of praise to God because there’s nothing you don’t have, and there’s nothing you can’t do! You’ve been endowed spiritually with all things, and for all things. Why did Paul use the phrase “spiritual blessings?” It’s because if you have the spiritual blessings, then you have all earthly blessings, because the spiritual gives birth to the physical. The lesser is included in the greater. Thi...
