The Bible teaches, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
God gave us His best, because we’re His best. The value of something can only be determined by what was paid for it; God saved us with the precious blood of Christ: “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:18-19). This scripture is a testimony of our value to God.
James 1:18 says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” God did this on His own accord; by His choice He made us the first and best! The Message Translation puts it this way, “He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures”
You’re the crown of all that God created; you’re His glory and beautifully crafted masterpiece; His very best! That’s why it took the death of Jesus–the most perfect sacrifice and greatest gift of all–to consummate your salvation.
