If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister ( Colossians 1:23).
As a Christian, you must be deeply rooted in God’s Word. That’s how to build prevailing faith— the faith that can face any challenge and win.
The Bible typifies Abraham as one whose faith was deeply rooted in the Word: “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:19-20).
When your faith is deeply rooted in the Word of God it will be impossible for you to vacillate! You won’t stagger at the promise of God through unbelief. Rather, like Abraham, your faith will be strong, and will always prevail—your confidence in God and in His ability to put you over in life will be unshakable.
The reason some folks aren’t deeply rooted in faith is because they don’t spend quality time studying and learning God’s Word. When you give yourself to careful and diligent study of God’s Word, the Holy Spirit will fill your heart and mind with thoughts of faith that’ll energize your spirit.
God’s Word contains everything you require for success and the good life; therefore go for the Word! Stay on the Word! If you would stick with the Word, say it and do it; you’ll become deeply rooted and grounded in faith.
