“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:11-12).
Biology and Medicine teach that life is transmitted through blood. This is also revealed in the Old Testament, the Bible says the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). But when you’re born again, you cease to live by the blood that flows through your physical body. So, what, or who then gives life to the new creation man? It’s the Holy Spirit: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (give life to) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11). That life is Zoë – the God life!
If you have this life in you and you are conscious of it, sickness, disease and infirmity cannot thrive in your body. That life destroys infection. Understand this, sickness and disease attack the blood, but your life is not dependent on blood if you’re born again: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13).
