Whosoever will be great among
you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him
be your servant (Matthew 20:26-27).The responsibility of service is
the key to greatness! The opening scripture underscores this truth; the word
“minister” is from the Greek word “diakonos” and it means a servant, or an
attendant, one who serves or runs errands for others.
As Christians, we’ve been
called to service; both of God and of mankind. God is mindful and concerned
about people more than anything else. So, when you’re concerned about
serving people through your work, the Lord will be mindful of your success and
prosperity; He’ll cause everything you do to prosper. The Bible says there’s
profit in all labour (Proverbs 14:23). Therefore, it doesn’t matter the job or
business you do, when your goal is to render quality service, your greatness
will be inevitable. But greed has stopped many from being service-conscious as
they should. Don’t let the desire to have be your driving force in life. The

Be inspired by the importance and

yourself needed, relevant and indispensable to your generation by choosing to
serve, for that is the pathway to greatness. Be inspired to serve.
