OUR SUFFICIENCY

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2 Corinthians 3:5)

The Amplified version renders our opening verse thus: “Not that we are fit, qualified and sufficient in ability of ourselves, to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.” Therefore, we’re to know and recognize God as our qualification, competence and strength, and not have confidence in our physical abilities, knowing that He has endued us with power from on high.
This understanding informed David’s mentality when as a stripling he confronted and defeated the great Goliath of Gath. Conscious of God’s ability at work in him, he looked at Goliath and said, “…You come against me with a sword, and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the Name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied” (1 Samuel 17:45 NIV). How important it is that we live and walk every day in the consciousness that we are fully kitted with God’s glory and power because we function in His Name!
Our sufficiency is a God-sufficiency! The power and ability by which we function are of God; that makes it unlimited! That means there’s no limit to how much you can achieve and how far you can go on your journey of success, because the power at work in you is of God!

I LAY UP GOLD AS DUST! - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Somebody said, "There’s financial harmattan. Everywhere is just dry". Not me! Dry? Never! Not in my DNA. I am always in surplus! But when do you have the most dust? In time of dryness! Wipe the dust today, come back tomorrow, the dust is back, all over the place. The scripture is saying "In time of dryness, I lay up gold as dust (Job 22:24). Too much money! YOU’RE THE BLESSED OF THE LORD – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Notice the construction above; the Apostle Paul wasn’t praying or making entreaties or begging God for spiritual blessings, no! It’s an energetic outburst of luxuriant, profuse, and exuberant worship. He glorifies the Lord who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms. He had the mentality that he was already blessed with all spiritual blessings that exist, and became poetic in praise. This should be your testimony! Be full of praise to God because there’s nothing you don’t have, and there’s nothing you can’t do! You’ve been endowed spiritually with all things, and for all things. Why did Paul use the phrase “spiritual blessings?” It’s because if you have the spiritual blessings, then you have all earthly blessings, because the spiritual gives birth to the physical. The lesser is included in the greater. Thi...
