“And in
that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye
shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you” (John 16:23)
From
the moment you received Christ, and made Him the Lord of your life, you became
worthy of His attention, deserving of His kindness and blessings. Why? His
righteousness has qualified you and made you worthy; it rightly positioned you
to enjoy God’s best. Colossians 1:12 (AMP) says, “Giving thanks to the
Father, Who has qualified {and} made us fit to share the portion which is the
inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light”
So
now, you can act in boldness and ask for anything in the Name of Jesus, with
full assurance you have God’s attention. By virtue of the new birth, you’ve
been brought into His glorious presence and wonderful Kingdom; that’s where you
live now! So you can approach Him boldly and ask what you want! He said,
“Whatsoever you ask the Father, in my name, He will give it to you,” and that
includes what you have in mind right now – whatever you want Him to give you or
do for you. That means, when you make a demand or ask anything in His Name,
He’ll see to it that it happens. So right now, based on this knowledge, go
ahead and ask what you want.
