BE DEEPLY ROOTED IN YOUR FAITH

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister ( Colossians 1:23). As a Christian, you must be deeply rooted in God’s Word. That’s how to build prevailing faith— the faith that can face any challenge and win. The Bible typifies Abraham as one whose faith was deeply rooted in the Word: “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:19-20). When your faith is deeply rooted in the Word of God it will be impossible for you to vacillate! You won’t stagger at the promise of God through unbelief. Rather, like Abraham, your faith will be strong, and will always prevail—your confidence in God and in His...

KNOW THE WORD FOR YOURSELF

The life of a Christian isn’t ordinary; it’s supernatural. This is why we’ve been instructed through God’s Word, to live with the consciousness of who we are in Christ. You have to leave the realm of the ordinary and get into the realm of the supernatural, where you take control of the affairs of your life. We are citizens of Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem; this is the city of the living God. As a citizen of this city you have undeniable rights: the right to live, to choose and to receive God’s blessings in Christ. It is also important to know that we have an adversary – the devil, whose mandate is to stop you from enjoying and exercising your rights in Christ Jesus. If you don’t know your rights in Christ, you’ll be at his mercy and that’s a dangerous way for you to live as a Christian . Start today by digging into God’s Word and searching the Scriptures for yourself. Discover your rights and privileges in Christ: what God has said you can do and have, and then begin to appropriat...

BE VORACIOUS FOR THE WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).  The Word of God gives you much more than a moral code of conduct; it builds, lifts, transforms you and catapults you to your inheritance and destiny in Christ. Proverbs 11:9 tells us that through knowledge—revelation knowledge of God’s Word—shall the just be delivered into their inheritance. Thus, you have to know the Word, store it in you, and consciously put it to work in your life. That’s your guarantee of a life of ever-increasing glory. The Bible says, “...All things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21); that means there’s nothing you require today that hasn’t already been made available to you by God through the Word. This is one reason you must meditate on the Word. Become voracious in your passion, hunger, and appetite for the Word. There’s no way of appropriating the blessings of God to yo...

DISCOVER HIS PLAN AND FULFILL IT – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.

Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter (Psalm 74:17). Nobody can be more or do more than what God has allotted to him. In other words, you can’t achieve more than whatever God has planned and destined for you to achieve; you’ll not go beyond it. Our opening verse says, “He has set all the borders of the earth.…” He set the boundaries that no one can go beyond. So, the wise thing to do is to discover what God wants you to do, and then, go all out to fulfill it. God will always send you the word that’s meant for you. He gives us the Word for the year, to guide our thinking, planning and actions. That word is for you to live by; take it and run with it. You can be as successful as God has ordained for you to be this year if you’d walk with Him by the Word, through the Spirit. True success is achieving God’s set goals for you at different levels of your life. Measure your success by what you do with the Word of God, and how you live to fulf...

YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10) .  Being born again, you have nothing to fear, because the Holy Spirit lives in you. There’s a divine impact of His divine presence and power on your physical body that keeps it immune to sickness, diseases, and infirmities. Even at the worst case scenario: if your physical body has already been so ravaged, battered and bruised by sickness and disease, the Holy Spirit will revitalize and restore life back to it. That’s what we read in our opening verse. A better rendering is, “But if Christ lives in you, though your body be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness.” The Holy Spirit raised the dead body of Jesus back to life; that same Spirit lives in you today. Romans 8:11 says, “And if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead, lives in you, that same Spirit shall give life to your mortal body.” This isn’t something ...

APPRECIATE HIS LOVE FOR YOU - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). The Lord is more committed to your prosperity and progress than you could ever be. No matter the thoughts and desire you have for success, God sure has better thoughts and plans for your success. It brings to mind what the Spirit revealed through the prophet Jeremiah: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11). Can you see that? It means that His thoughts towards you are always good; there’s no single thought of evil, sickness, poverty or negativity in His mind toward you. Think about it! Some people have lived with the erroneous belief that God is mad at them, and His disposition towards them is dependent on how good, nice or well-behaved they’ve been, but that’s not true. First, you need to understand that God is love (1 John 4:8,...

A GOOD LIFE OF BLESSINGS

For we are God’s [own]handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew]that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] (Ephesians 2:10 AMP) God is good, God is kind, and God is love! God is a great Father who, long before we came on the scene, prepared a wonderful and exciting life for us His kids. He prepared a life of success, victory, peace, and prosperity, so that when we showed up, we would live triumphantly. God didn’t create you to suffer or struggle your way through life. He prearranged a good life of blessings for you. So today, He wants you to step into what He already ordained for you! That’s like what He did when He created Adam; He first created a beautiful garden where everything Adam would ever require was made available. Then He created Adam and put him in th...

LIFE THROUGH HIS BLOOD

“For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins“(Matthew 26:28) The word “remission” in the opening verse doesn’t merely refer to the forgiveness of sins; it means the removal of sins. The blood of Jesus is the propitiation for sins; therefore, those that believe in Jesus should no longer be held accountable for their sins! That’s why the Bible says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). He has taken full responsibility for your wrongs. During the last supper, Jesus drank out of the cup, gave it to His disciples, and said, “Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament…” (Matthew 26:27-28). As they drank from the cup, which represented His blood, they were actually partaking of His life. Leviticus 17:11 says, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood…” When Jesus bled on the cross, He actually poured out His life. Now, everyone who believes in Him has a...

PARTAKERS OF A GLORIOUS INHERITANCE

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12). Did you notice that this verse of scripture didn’t say “God will make us,” or “is going to make us partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light?”  Rather, it says He “hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” That means He’s already done it; we’ve been made partakers of a glorious inheritance—the inheritance of the saints in light. God the Father did this for us, in spite of ourselves. We couldn’t qualify for it on our own; He “made us meet,” that means qualified us to be partakers—sharers or joint-heirs of the inheritance. Your good works or your own righteousness couldn’t qualify you for the blessing. But God in His infinite mercy and kindness qualified you for the good life. How exciting to realize that you don’t have to try to be good enough for God. There’s no need to strive and work to merit His bl...

A CHRISTMAS TEACHING WITH PASTOR CHRIS

JESUS CHRIST, THE GLORY OF THE FATHER  —  A CHRISTMAS TEACHING WITH PASTOR CHRIS "[Jesus] is the perfect personification of the abstract idealism of God," Pastor Chris explains. Discussing the subject, 'Who is Jesus?', Pastor Chris settled for a few moments on the reason for our adoration and love for the Lord Jesus, which is simply because He is "the perfect imprint, the icon of the unseen God"! Without Jesus, God is only an idea that does not make sense to the human mind, the man of God taught the congregation at the Christmas Eve Service. "He [Jesus] is the perfect personification of the abstract idealism of God," Pastor says in the featured excerpt from that service. Pastor Chris introduced the third point on who Jesus is, stating 'Jesus Christ, the Glory of the Father', because the Master is the outshining, the express image of the Father's glory. CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK!

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2). You’re the character of your thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says, “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” In other words, you’re not different from the way you think. Through months and years of continuously thinking in a certain way, your mind becomes programmed in that direction, and that’s the direction your life will go. This explains the reason many have their lives messed up; nothing seems to be working. If you have been negatively programmed as a result of thinking wrongly, all you need is to change your way of thinking; renew your mind with the Word. Our opening scripture, in the New Living Translation says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think….” The Word of God can reprogram your life and give you a new mindse...

DON'T DESPAIR! - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest (Ezekiel 37:3).  As you grow spiritually, there could be times of difficulties, when you face serious challenges. But at such times, don't despair. Don't loathe yourself or gripe that you're going through such tough times. Even when everyone seems to be ignoring you and none is offering to help, in spite of all your appeals, refuse to be discouraged. The truth is, you're not being ignored. What's happening is that the Lord is training and teaching you to stand up, and stand strong! He's challenging and setting you up for your next level of glory. It doesn't matter how dire the challenge you're confronted with might seem; don't run from pillar to post, seeking help from man; rather talk your way out of it. This was what the Lord told Ezekiel to do in the valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37:3-4). Ezekiel found himself in a valley full of dry bones and the ...

YOU’RE INDESTRUCTIBLE

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1 Peter 1:23) You were born of God’s incorruptible seed when you received salvation. In Luke 8:11, Jesus said the Word of God is a seed. This means that when you are born again, you’re born of God’s seed – His Word. This is makes you indestructible. The life in you is sickness, disease and death resistant. You have the very life of God, and that makes you supernatural. The same life that makes God who He is now flows in your spirit, soul and body. Your life is no longer dependent on the blood that flows through your physical body. Back in the Old Testament, God told the children of Israel that the blood of man is the life of his flesh (Leviticus 17:11). But when you become a child of God by being born again, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17); your blood ceases to be what sustains your life. You’re born of God and you have the life of God in you, whi...

God made Jesus to be sin, not a mere “sin offering” or “sin sacrifice,” but sin itself, so that we might become, not just righteous, but the righteousness of God—the very essence or repre...

NO MORE SICKNESS!

“And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:24) In our opening verse, the prophet Isaiah was talking about the inhabitants of Zion – the new creation in Christ Jesus. The New Testament is replete with scriptures that clearly show that no form of sickness has a place in the new creation. Jesus “…Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17), and “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). As a new creation, you don’t get sick because it’s not natural with you; the man that could get sick is dead; the new man that’s alive today carries the indestructible, indefatigable, unconquerable, and invisible life of God – Zoe. God has ordained us to live the supernatural life naturally, therefore no more sickness and disease. Sickness with its attendant effects are gone with the old nature. Hallelujah! ...

TRUST THE LORD

God is trustworthy; whatever He says is truth and you can bank with it! Peter displayed such trust at the Master’s Word on the lake of Gennesaret. The Lord Jesus had just used his boat to preach to the multitude that thronged Him. Afterwards, He instructed Peter to cast his net into the sea. The only reason Peter obeyed was because it was the Master that spoke, since the circumstances were against that instruction. The result was a harvest so great he had to call in another boat to help with the catch (Luke5:5-7). Abraham also demonstrated such trust in God when He told him to leave his native country- a place he lived for many years and owned much property. He forsook all immediately, in obedience to God’s Word to him. Abraham didn’t ask God, “Where to?” He just gathered his family and belongings and went, not knowing where he was going but trusting that the Lord who said “Go!”, would show him where. When you trust God, you will see farther than you can ever fathom. What has God...

THE CHARACTER OF GOD

“For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night” (Psalm 90:4). What a revelation! This means God can do in one day what will take a thousand years for men to accomplish. In a second, He will do for you what no man can ever do. When the children of Israel were about to cross the red sea, they didn’t have to fast and pray for deliverance, it took only a moment for the sea to part. All that was required of them was to follow God’s instruction and do what He said to do (Exodus 14:16). God is great and mighty. His deeds are awesome. Even when we are confronted with trials, He never leaves us alone. He shows us what to do and tells us where to go. There are times He speaks audibly and you think there was someone physically present in your room, talking with you; at other times He may just bring pictures into your mind or show you visions. He manifests His presence to us in different ways in the natural realm. In all these, the...
